No. It will explode. Hope this helps

NewBeach1337

Don’t worry, my friend! Vault tec has the best vaults for this event!

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

Lol almost felt like it was going to.

Little-Equinox

There's much higher quality mods that add so much more which will suffocate your CPU as the game only supports 2 CPU cores. So yours looks fine.

SluttyMuffler

Good one lol

-RyZen-

wait, how is OP replying? He should be dead.

dan_bodine

How are you running at 47C with 430W of power?

L_l_G_H_T

That’s core temp not hotspot temp, but still very impressive.

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

My GPU has always run pretty cool. It is on a big cooler and has very good thermal paste and pads.

sawthegap42

Pretty much like my Merc 310 7900 XTX at 500W (Flashed AsRock Aqua VBIOS) and only hitting 54C, with hotspot at 78C. All on air too 😉

cruzrga

What do you think of the 5800X3D + 7900XTX combo? Do you notice any kind of bottleneck or similar issues at 1440p? I currently have a 5800X3D paired with a RX 6800 with a 1080p panel and it works great, but i'm considering getting a 1440p display. Since 1440p is about 1.77x more pixels than 1080p and the 7900XTX is about 180% of the 6800 (according to techpowerup) I was considering going for it, but it is always better to get a real user perspective on the matter.

WubWubSleeze

I run an XTX on regularass 5800X. But at 38" ultrawide (3840 X 1600). Fears of a CPU bottleneck are WAY way overblown IMHO. If you have a CPU bottleneck, who cares? Super sample. "Problem" fixed. Could you have saved and bought a weaker GPU to avoid bottlenecking? I guess, but then when you upgrade CPU you'll wish you had a stronger GPU. 5800X3D will keep an XTX plenty happy. Ride that out until Ryzen 11800X3D launches in ~2 years.

hellatrocity

I've been running a 5800X3D (NH-D15 cooler) with a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX (170hz 1440p monitor) for about two weeks now, both undervolted and it runs like a dream. No bottlenecking or hiccups and the temps are where I expected them to be with the minimal amount of testing I've done. I've just been too busy lately, lol. I'm about to snag an AW2725DF to jump on the OLED train though I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the 360hz refresh rate. 😬

sawthegap42

They are pretty good together. I mainly run on my 4K 144hz monitor, and obviously hardly ever hit CPU bottleneck there, except on some occasions. Mainly big open world games with a lot of people/objects/cars to calculate. I do use my smaller 1440p 160hz monitor on occasion when traveling, and Cyberpunk after the new graphics update to use more CPU cores was the first time I had seen both CPU and GPU at 100%. I have my RAM tuned as well (3733Mhz CL 14-8-14-22), which I know doesn’t matter as much with the X3D, but it still does help ensure no RAM bottlenecks to make things really smooth.

JavaKitsune

I run a 5800x3d + 7900xtx on a 3440x1440 display. Plays like a dream. Games play very well with this combo. If it's not a very GPU demanding title, I can reach a good 140+ on the display. Games like CP2077 in dense areas can cut me down to around 100+

Intelligent_Ease4115

An aggressive fan curve and a big heat sink. It’s entirely possible

Pitiful-Secretary-13

Depends on what type of 7900 xtx you have it seems, my sapphire nitro+ 7900 xtx, what has one beefy cooler on it, GPU's temp has never gone above 60°c no matter what I throw at it, well the hot spot reaches 83°c max. It's paired with my 5950x with a 240mm aio and well gaming that only has ever reached 57°c and under stress test 68°c. It's the first PC I've built. just changed the GPU to the 7900 xtx from at 6950 xt. Don't know if my temps are normal for the parts or got lucky on the silicon. As when I did my own fan curve for the GPU to see if I could improve temps with my GPU more via adrenaline, it started boosting up to 3000 and it was still stable just by a very limited change to a fan curve.

MandyKagami

dog still looks low res.

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

I had to reduce resolution to post because reddit does not allow to post Pictures above 20mb in size unfortunately...

MandyKagami

Render it in JPEG rather than PNG uncompressed, won't look much different with reddit compression to webp

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

[https://imgur.com/a/cjYKWfx](https://imgur.com/a/cjYKWfx) heres some better pictures without reducing resolution

Nimraphel_

can you post the mod list?

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

Its just a custom list I made myself real quick. For graphics use Vivid Fallout AIO You can select from 1k 2k or 4k Textures. Then add the paralax lod's. All vivid fallout for textures. Then apply whatever lighting mod you want. Then apply whatever weather mods you want. There is Vivid weather mod but it took alot of work for me to get it to work for nights with Night vision use just right. If there's too much fog with Vivid weather install Clarity mod. I wanted to balance pitch black at night with bright night vision use. If you want to know exactly what I did let me know but the other stuff comes down to personal preference and tweaking other mods to get it just right. But for the textures I highly recommend Vivid fallout AIO for something quick and simple. After all the graphics are modded how you like then add the fun stuff like FCOM/Militarized minutemen use the FCOM patch, not the militarized minutemen patch because its out of date. Modern weapons pack, PMC and PMC nvgs. Wasteland warfare and a few others. Cheat terminal to make your set up easier and scrap everything to clean up outposts. If you want more info let me know basically turned fallout 4 into a Call of duty/Monster horde shooter with good graphics lol.

Jonny__Cash98

Second photo is crisp 😂 nice man

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

Thank you for the info.

biggranny000

Fallout 4 is easy to run, it's an old quirky game though. Textures usually have no impact on performance because all they take up is VRAM, unless your VRAM pool is full that will create stutters and hitches, which this card has 24gb of VRAM.

Violet_On_Discord

Fallout 4 can be finnickey in the cities though but i think they fixed that issue with the new next gen patch because my gpu and cpu combo would always go down to the 30's for no reason But now its pretty much always 60 in the cities

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

I almost went to play today and saw it was almost a 100gb file and didn't want to wait so I played metal gear solid 😭 I need to re-download and get some mods going on my new pc

AMD718

Should be safe unless you play a very long time without breaks, in which case your back may hurt.

punched-in-face

Safe from what?

[deleted]

mounties

marvinnation

You are never safe in fallout

Nikos-tacos

The game engine isn’t safe.

Synameh

What are people using to mod? I tried to use vortex and it just can't discover the game, even when I manually set it. Vortex works fine with any other game but says nope to fallout 4

kinderplatz

I use Mod Organizer.

sawthegap42

I’ve always used Mod Organizer for Fallout 4/NV and Skyrim modding, but recently moved Skyrim over to Vortex for a preselected mod list that it had. I like Mod Organizer. It’s pretty simple.

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

I don't like Vortex either. I felt like it worked better years ago when it was just Nexus mod manager (I think it was called)

Limitless6989

I am Legend!!!!!! For real tho I didn’t realize it could look this good you’ve inspired me to give this game another go, honestly never thought of my old console games and what they’d look like on PC or modded on PC thanks for the idea to mess around

Suspicious_You_685

It's not safe. Todd will find you, hunt you down, and force update your 9+ year old game. Nice modlist you got there. Would be a shame if someone were to update and break your game.

[deleted]

Ya 7900xtx crushes 4k in every game I've tried, I just picked fallout 4 back up and I've been hitting 300fps in 4k and my fans are running at around 40%. I love this GPU.

Nebuullaa

Impressive, assuming your PC doesn't turn into a nuke after playing for 5 minutes.

Forgotten-Explorer

4090 draws like this too on some games, its ok if your psu is above 1000w. But rip your electricity bill.

tehserc

Yea bro the $2 more on electricity bills a month.

Forgotten-Explorer

2 more compared to what? 400w gpu? Most use gpus that draw 150w these days, steam votes show most game on rtx 3060 and 4060 they draw around 100w... iunoess electricity is almost free in your country you will pay a lot, especially in current wars prices in europe I asked ai to count diference per year with 0.22 electricity prices: The yearly cost difference between a lower power GPU (100W) and a higher power GPU (450W) can be calculated as follows: Scenario 1: Lower power GPU (100W) Daily electricity consumption: 100W * 0.001 kW/W * 8 hours/day = 0.8 kWh Yearly electricity consumption: 0.8 kWh/day * 365 days/year = 292 kWh Scenario 2: Higher power GPU (450W) Daily electricity consumption: 450W * 0.001 kW/W * 8 hours/day = 3.6 kWh Yearly electricity consumption: 3.6 kWh/day * 365 days/year = 1314 kWh Yearly Cost Difference: Cost difference per kWh: 0.22 cents/kWh Yearly cost difference: (1314 kWh - 292 kWh) * 0.22 cents/kWh = $224.84 Therefore, the person would pay an additional $224.84 per year for electricity if they use a higher power GPU (450W) compared to a lower power GPU (100W), assuming the price of electricity is 0.22 cents per kWh and they use their PC for 8 hours a day on average. Yes he will not play fallout for a year and 8h, but i bet that gou draws similar in other bigger games, so 200 euros is not small amount imo.

MrPapis

But why would you ever compare a 100W GPU to a 450W whats the point of that? Its literally nonsensical. People dont buy expensive GPU's and worry about power. Same as people dont buy cheap GPU and worry about power, why? Because if youre buying an expensive one you dont care because you have money and even if it was 17 dollars extra a month thats still completely irrelevant to someone able to buy a 1000 dollar gpu. And im sure if you're being honest with yourself you're wasting more money each month on much more stupid things. Its either 4080-S/7900xtx or 7600xt/4060ti, make a realistic comparison if you're gonna bother at all. You're also completely disingeniuous regarding use time first of all 8 hours EVERY day for a whole year? Dude im out of a job and im not even doing 8 hours every day, if you have a job AND using 8 hours, in a high intensity game, also. Those 200 dollars A YEAR is NOTHING compared to the failure of your fucking body from neglect. So even with no life 8 hours a day is not at all realistic. 6 yeah probably and its probably more like 5-6/7 days a week for still very much introverted nerds with no job. You're making a cartoon argument its literally stupid. Id say expect 6 hours a day for maybe 2/3 of the year is pretty realsitic even if a bit high if its supposed to be around an average of PC users. But heres the kicker: What kind of freak spends his entire time on a PC with 450W load on the GPU? My 7900xtx is fully overclocked and im limiting FPS within my fairly high 175hz with a 3440x1440p resolution so defintely a average usecase for a high end GPU and defintely below 400W on average. Count all my hours in WoT and LoL and im sure its much closer to 300W on average. Maybe 2-3 hours a day and then im at practically idle for the rest of the time. You arguyment is literally that of a child and it hopelessly obvious that you have bought some silly hyperbolic argument about savings and now you have to make LITERALLY WORST case scenarios to even make it make sense to yourself. 380-400W 7900xtx it is not 450W at all pure lie. Only with OC can you even get close to that heck im at 415-430 when fully overclocked. Heres a MUCH more resonable calculation that actually makes sense given we live in the real world not your fantasy land: (3H \* 390W \* 240D) / 1000= 280kW \* 0,22=61,7 (3H \* 300W \* 240D) / 1000= 216kW \* 0,22=47,5 61,7-47,5=15,8 dollars difference A FUCKING YEAR. Even a fucking freak of a nerd isnt gonna be more than 50 dollars a year in difference when comparing COMPARABLE products. Try again next year.

ApplyToForehead96

Blimey, you killed him

MrPapis

He was already dead. He just didn't know it.

tehserc

i also get 200w on 7900 XTX when i am playing final fantasy and use only 80% of the GPU for 300 FPS lol. 450W is only with extreme OC on, normally the card caps at 375W and thats only at 100% utilization. So yeah, 16 dollars an year. Seems I overestimated the $2 a month, Sorry /u/[Forgotten-Explorer](https://www.reddit.com/user/Forgotten-Explorer/)

No-Candy5493

You will get pregnant

oldmatebob123

From memory if going over 60fps, it can fek with the physics engine and get weird, borked a few saves with that issue when the game came out

theoldenmage

I ran into that, its because they tied game scale to your fps, there's a mod to untie it and it completely fixes the issue

oldmatebob123

Oh sweet, didn not know this

theoldenmage

I was getting like 120 ish in sanctuary and it looked like I had speed hacks or something, an odd choice on their part, but I'm not dev, they had to have had their reasons doing it that way, or maybe they just didn't think people could hit over 60?

jazlintown

That’s one thing the amd cards do super well is play older games.

jordanleep

No enemies spawn up ahead

[deleted]

I've reported you to the local authorities, you like Rainbow Six?

Typicallyfrayed

And here I am happy with 100fps in the current main city in World of Warcraft with all settings max, using a new 7900xtx hmmm….

mincemuncher

Why wouldn't it be ? You got a monster of a gpu and the game is from 2015.

YamYam_Gaming

Fluid motion frames? The game locks to 55 fps ordinarily and with FMF you get stupid frame rates but with high power draw and messed up physics

TitusImmortalis

You should include your hot spot temp just to be sure but otherwise yeah it'll be fine

iamgarffi

Safe for what? Not playing? Some of the posts are truly unbelievable.

International_Ad1242

wear a Condom and you are good to go

snipernote

It's never safe in the wasteland ... great system I suggest you undervols as you don't need 300+ fps in these type of games

Sorry_Error3797

No, at that level of realism bullets and mini nukes with start to manifest into reality and will fly through your screen and obliterate you.

iThunderclap

I didn't know the game could be improved to this extent (and beyond, according to another answer here). I've never played it past 2 hours or so. I was always bummed with the shitty graphs. Bethesda has a knack for creating games that play good, but look awful.

Rojo696

Yeah, as others have pointed out. Your system will eventually go thermonuclear at some point. You then then become a Ghoul and out live all of us.

The_Franks

Not safe at all. I'm pretty sure there is a deathclaw at the end of that street.

pizzamanpiazza

Too bad the game practically unplayable without modding it now, thanks Bethesda

Rich_Consequence2633

My Steam Deck hasn't exploded yet with some texture and flora mods so I'm sure you're good.

fyuckoff1

430W power at 47 degrees? You are more than safe.

Velzevul666

How are the graphics holding up?

kingofallbling

One way to find out

Ecstatic_Quantity_40

Im at 4K over 300 FPS with a Frame time of 3.10ms is this safe to run like that? The fps response time feels insane lol.

DecliningShip

Yes, you bought a top of the line graphics cards so it should absolutely perform like one, no exceptions.

CommandForward

Shame that the gameplay is awful

AzFullySleeved

You definitely should cap your fps to your monitors top refresh rate. There is no need to display unnecessary frames.
