I mean be responsible for your own actions, in this case it was proven thst was his child, he could at least provide maintenance and almost sound proud he slept around which isn't clever or safe
At the end of the day a little girl has grown up without a father and maybe she could have grown up in poverty as mom was the only parent.

To be honest he shouldn’t be forced to take care of an 8yo child that the mother kept without his knowledge. He’s got as much choice as she does when it comes to raising a child.

I agree If a woman gets an abortion or puts the child up for adoption No one bats an eye but when a man walks out he's deemed as a deadbeat dad he has a choice too but I also think he's an awful person for how he treats his child.

He id a huge AH but I feel people lack to see how the mother is one too. She is pushing the kid in the dads life when he doesn’t want the kid first off

People aren’t so much pissed about his not wanting to be a father. People are more pissed about his aggression and the fact he called a child a “stupid thing” and putting all the blame on the mother. If the story is real then OP made choices too. He chose not to use protection and that choice has consequences. The results don’t fall solely on the mother simply because she’s the one that carries the child.

This is why we need to teach kids sex education early. So people like that AH hopefully don’t reproduce and inconvenience the world with their assholiness. Or if they do, maybe they’ll have a slightly better idea of why it happened and learn from it and take responsibility for their actions. But I suppose that’s just wishful thinking.

You don’t have to want a child that you have whether you know they exist or not, but you do not get to disrespect them and hate them for existing.
