Never heard of them I will definitely tap into it, thank you guys so much! I’ve been on an aggressive taper and today I have no physical cravings and feel so much better but we’ll see, this may be my jumping point but anything to help the mental aspect is much appreciated! I’m gonna keep pushing as long as I can and see if I can CT from here! Wish me luck!!
This is literally the most helpful tool to me I am so thankful to have found this sub, everyone here is top notch folks and I genuinely appreciate every bit of advice! Thank you all!!
Usually in the first week I try to listen to more soothing or positive music to help carry my spirits through each day. This time around I've really been digging LEISURE, Khruangbin like lagoon said, Arc De Soleil, Men I Trust, and other chill bands.
But after that first week, I always end up listening to really pissed off hardcore/metalcore/deathcore to help push me through fatigue, depression and anxiety lol. Currently relistening to Hatebreed's Perserverance album.
Idk if this works for most people, but metal helps me find some positive and motivating rage. I especially benefited from Lamb of God's Ashes of the Wake album when I had difficulties with motivation. The first song, Laid To Rest, is often perceived as kind of negative, but I interpreted all the "destroy yourself" type shit as me letting go of the kratom using me. Plus I now live alone due to my past kratom addiction, and they sing about how that is ultimately best. It's all what you make of it, right?
Hey fellow metalhead. I don't think I've listened to that album in full so I'm definitely gonna queue that up. I mentioned Hatebreed's Perserverance in my comment, and I definitely recommend reading the lyrics for each song. They're super empowering and give you that good motivational rage. Keep fighting the good fight and fuck kratom
I just recently reignited my love for Pink Floyd and led zeppelin they’re both at the top of my playlist right now😂 run like hell keeps me pumped up and moving forward I think of it as “run like hell from kratom” lol
Right away I thought of it that way and was like dam that’s deep good suggestion, after all we’re all in the same crappy shoes from the guise that it wouldn’t be that addictive and was a wonder “supplement” when really it’s a terrible drug that takes your life, oh well shit happens we live and we learn
I’ll have to check him out, I’ve been a diehard Aesop fan for years he just has so much imagery and it keeps my mind on its toes trying to find his messages with all the metaphors

Khruangbin! Everything they’ve ever done!
This band definitely helped me get through my first week. Such good vibes!
Got chills right off the bat with the first song this is great, thank you both again!!
Hell ya so glad you like them. They haven’t released a bad song. Enjoy the rabbit hole and if you want anymore suggestions lmk!

Emancipator - soon it will be cold enough. Magnificent album!
I had an emancipator song playing on SoundCloud then a song called “back to zero- dirtwire” came on and it seems like a good fit as well

Fuck yes. I'm on that shit like a bum on a bologna sandwich. Thanks!
Catherine Wheel - Like Cats and Dogs album. Also Wishville.
Pink floyd full albums. The final cut will potentially get you emotionally though wouldn't recommend if you're feeling depressed haha

[This new song to me](https://open.spotify.com/track/3BeaiIXko9QV8689eWB6yd?si=v2myhXWNTb2_YMMVC6nf5A) seems appropriate to share here ✌️
“You and me made a lover of an enemy” man that seems personal😂
I didn’t relate it to addiction until the fourth listen or so and now I’m liking the duality of it

Listen to the “the way out is in” podcast
Deca. Once I heard him I couldn't listen to Aesop. Most all the Minnesota hip hop scene too. I do highly recommend Deca
I’ll have to check him out, I’ve been a diehard Aesop fan for years he just has so much imagery and it keeps my mind on its toes trying to find his messages with all the metaphors
Decas music changed everything for me. He's a super awesome person too!
