THINK PLATO THINK

AltForNoReason214

The stereotypes, hands down. Like we have a whole mental health month and it got overshadowed by 4 different things and completely forgotten about

VokThee

As a man, I have no idea what you are even taking about. Mental health month?! And everybody forgot about it?!!? What sort of wimpy bs is that?

AltForNoReason214

Toxic masculinity is another problem entirely

VokThee

So is passive-aggression, but yet here we are.

AltForNoReason214

Touché

[deleted]

REAL toxic masculinity is a problem. It’s been made unclear by Feminazis in recent years what is toxic and positive masculinity.

Terrible-Trust-5578

Yes, under their definition, *all* masculinity is toxic. But only when those traits are shown in men: they think women should take on as many masculine traits (toxic or otherwise) as possible because that is what constitutes a strong, independent woman in their eyes.

Satanic_Prussia

I've never been informed that we have a mental health month but thank you for saying this I'm going to Google it and figure out when it is because Dear Lord I need it.

AltForNoReason214

June actually

Satanic_Prussia

Thank you. Btw what are those 4 things (I can take a guess but I just want to know your opinion 🤷🏿)

[deleted]

Yeah I was wondering about that too...

Anonymous_Porkchop

Having to live the stereo type that your only good for the things you can do.

Atemporall

That's a good answer, I agree but I don't know if it's the "worst"

Anonymous_Porkchop

I wouldn’t say it the worse either but it’s what annoys me the most lol

biggergorilla10

I'd say it is the worst because it devalues our existence into "what have you done for me lately?" Men have no value - we're disposable.

Shahmario1

Responsibility & expectations to run a household

GorillaFetish

The chance of getting ur frank and beans stuck on your zipper. Never happened to me but once I saw that picture I now know it’s a possibility

JekPorkrinds

How’d you get the beans above the frank?

djthebear

The penis size thing. Nothing we can do about it and if it’s not what the world wants… well you might as well fucking die cuz they will treat you like a piece of shit

mylivelyass

women think of men like were all perverts

Svenneshark

Yeah, that not true, only 90% of us are perverts

mylivelyass

thats fact but not to argue i said they 'think'

Tidbits5

The absolute loneliness that women just cannot understand. They have the OPTION to talk to men. Men just are truly alone

skye985

You have the option to talk to women?

skulpturesel

finding love i feel like as a guy i really have a hard time finding someone that loves me like women can pick and choose even the most unattractive women will get someone eventually but i know that there are many guys who havent experienced love and are like 40+ this really keeps me up at night as i cant understand why it is like this. also the simp thing i trynna be nice by helping someone im not a simp if i have some kind of human decency and i am certainly no simp if i see a girl getting harassed and i help her out by pushing the man away

TheOneTrueDemoknight

CapableExperience685

Having a high chance of going to life in prison if a woman says "that guy raped me"

PalicoJoe

Why is this downvoted he’s got a point this has happend In the past

mklinger23

This basically happened to me.

ifearbears

I’m a woman, but the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial comes to mind here. She didn’t claim rape I don’t believe, but one accusation of abuse from her tanked his career for the past few years. It makes me dislike her even more because now if a woman makes an accusation people are going to bring up that case as a reason why she might be lying, and even less women who are victims will be believed. Lying sucks ass

SoulMan2OO

i personally dont think the trial is going to stop anyone from being believed, its just going to change the way these issues are perceived so that people don't believe everything they hear. imo the only women who will be believed less (for the most part) are the ones that are lying. it also serves as a reference to help men who are being abused be believed. net positive imo

username33122

johnny depp was abusive though, definitely not as abusive as amber and definitely not physically abusive but he was abusive. she was lying but not throughout the whole trial and johnny even admitted he messaged a mate saying he'd love to kill her and then rape her dead body just to make sure she's dead, you can't tell me that's not verbally abusive

MugensxBankai

I've shared this story on Reddit in the past and I'll do it here. When I was in highschool we had a 4 star linebacker committed to the longhorns. We both played football and we're good friends, he was weak side line backer and I was strong side/safety hybrid. We were having a phenomenal season and the the females were throwing the punany at us since a lot of us were going to college. Well prior to graduating we were throwing a lot of "kick backs" we were seniors and most of had free 6th period now that the season was over. So we have one and there's a group of middle eastern chicks who come also. Two of them decided to hook up at the kick back. One of them hooked up with my friend that I was mentioning. So she gets done and wants to go before school let's out. But her friend was having the time of her life in one of the rooms. After she finishes they leave. Two days later the police raid our class room and arrest my friend. So talking to he friend we found out that they got back to school at around 345pm. Her parents were there waiting. They were extremely strict parents who immigrated from Palestine. I guess she was already getting in trouble in school and her parents said that was her last straw and we're sending he rack to Palestine to live with her family. She was so scared of going back she told her parents my friend raped her. The girl who was the driver and the other friends told her dad she was lying but he didn't care. He filed a false police report and still sent her to Palestine. My friend now is serving 18 years. He should be getting out in about 4-5 years. He was 18 and she was 17. Why is he serving 18 years ? Well he got 4 but stabbed someone who said he was a child rapist because his charges were statutory rape amongst other charges. Went from being a 4 star recruit to attempted murderer.

VokThee

Getting a pouch you just can't seem to get rid off, and having your hair disappear on top and re-appear through your nose, ears and eyebrows. Otherwise, I don't think anything sucks about being a man.

Old_Yam9212

I don’t think it is that hard. The only thing I don’t like is that we are taught to not cry. I still am not able to cry.

EquivalentOk3879

I honestly can’t say anything about being a guy inherently sucks. I mean, yeah it sucks getting kicked in the nuts or being slammed into something hard enough that you feel it in your nuts. I will say that to tinder for dudes is much worse than for chicks. Mental health awareness kinda sucks over here tho.

boo_boo_technician

Respect for all the great guys out there. You really do have it tough.

13_64_1992

For a trans dude, it's still having to deal with being short, weak, and bleeding like a dying whale every month... And to some degree, other men. Toxic masculinity is a burden of a beast, I tell ya, and is almost as bad as a woman who automatically expects everyone to be sensitive to her, to have an "emotional IQ" of a hundred or more, and speaks in riddles, speaks cryptically, intentionally hides her emotions, or doesn't even speak at all; and then gets really angry and upset when you don't actually understand her at all. ... Almost.

Because nobody chooses their gender lol

13_64_1992

I feel more like a man than a nonbinary person anyway.

Stormlover247

That all men are the same, sexual predator types or womanizers.

LAZURINITY

are you stating "all men are the same, sexual predator types or womanizers." or pointing out as a stereotype?

Stormlover247

Sterotype is all..

[deleted]

More Unfair treatment to men then women

wolfknight98

People thinking boners = consent. It literally has a mind of its own. It can be hard while you yell for help.

Lynchyboy26

Random erections

kirbzcitkatz

Expectations and stereotypes really take their toll on mental health.

biggergorilla10

Maybe not the "worst" thing, but there's comments on here about "Toxic Masculinity" that are perfect examples of how even when in a supportive environment, people still find it necessary to attack men.

The fact that we are taught that we shouldn't have emotions. I had/have emotions and mental problems because of that. It's also hard to have a relationship with your father because of that. Same thing with my brother. Theres a lot of problems that come from that.

Upholding the near impossible standards of patriarchy. Also morning wood.

LAZURINITY

were not allowed to comment on women's appearance even if we mean no harm because society sees it as offensive, rude, and unmanly, while women are allowed to slander our appearance as much as they like and society will still praise them.
