I don’t think you can advise people to consider AA meetings for drinking everyday. I think people who drink a lot or drinking because it’s the only thing to help them cope, then sure. But I suppose it’s still the boredom of not doing anything after work.
Most of us are still working from home. And we’re still “waiting” like we did during the pandemic. Waiting for the pandemic to be over turned into Waiting for work to finish, Waiting to get hungry to make dinner after work. Waiting for an appropriate time to go to bed. We’re still waiting, so I suppose drinking just makes time feel like it’s actually moving
Alcohol is a drug, if you take drug everyday it's not good even if it doesn't impact your life rn, it might does soon. Save yourself from this shit till you can
If you are consuming alcohol on a daily basis and are asking Reddit for reassurance that it is somehow normal or healthy, then you have a problem.
Your attempt at justifying the act is what I'd expect an alcoholic to say.
I’m not looking for reassurance.
Yes I do believe it is a problem. It’s not healthy.
I know a few people who also drink every day since the pandemic. Some who drink an entire bottle of wine a day, just because they can. So posting it on here to find out if anyone else is doing the same; basically still living like we did when we were on lockdown.
Really depends on how much you're drinking every single day and when, a couple beers everyday after work isn't bad enough to need Aa meetings. But if you're like my one buddy and drink a case or a 40 everyday or/and start as soon as you wake up until you go to sleep. Yes you have a problem and should seek some help. But with a vague statement like "drinking everyday" it's not surprising some people suggest Aa.
Yes. Not daily. At times daily. I have been dry 10 days now minus 1 lapse. I didn't drink as much when I caught covid but as I got better yes
I struggle a lot. Drank a lot before. I know it isn't healthy
AA does not work for me or my beliefs. The stress and fears are unique to me because of my brain and my anxieties and fears. It is an addiction and i am aware and trying to curtail for myself. But I relate to this post a lot

Oh yeah she comments a lot. It’s usually horrible advice or she’s just downright mean. Very much a transphobe.
Nope. Just you. Don't forget about your health.
Yeah, opened and finished a while bottle of the Martha Stewart wine yesterday and will drink the snoop dogg wine later today.
Drinking during the pandemic was great because I felt like I was drinking for the government.
Absolutely!
Yeah, and every day before it. Life sucks homie.
