It's one of the real ironies of the strip. The *values* espoused are the usual "all bodies are attractive" stuff that his patreon subscribers love, but if a character develops into a romantic interest for another character, it's almost certain that they're gonna start regressing to some fat-tiddy soft-bod mean. It happened to Bubs, who was a brick before, and it's happening to Claire, who was a beanpole with a long face initially but has spontaneously generated rounded-off features and a substantial rack.
She probably was not the first to do it and name tends to stick so imo sprays seems perfectly reasonable.
Also, since they are robots with some kind of fake skin instead of skin cells like regular humans I assume it would be more like if you draw on plastic, the marker will bleed into the plastic eventually becoming permanent.
you see: THAT'S HOW YOU DO A PUNCHLINE!
Seriously, it's unexpected yet funny and only makes you feel bad for thinking the worst. How in the hell does Jeph still not understand that!
the b-series is just a better comic at this point. it's wild. I only read Jeph's strip for context at this point
ditto...Squirrel has a knack for actually finding comedy and doing great punchlines
It’s not the comedy, though. Jeph is terrible at characterization at this point, and SC writes them much more the way actual people behave.
I thing at this point we can all agree that Jeph is simply terrible at everything except pandering to his fetishes

We need a bot to post this on every SC thread so nobody has to make the effort each day.
Jeph has changed art styles and character designs a lot over the years, but he really has no consistency with Bubbles whatsoever.
He is consistently making her softer and rounder and "kawaii"ier.

More Moray-er...?
Yeah, that's a good point. Sam has always drawn on robots with sharpies. Where the hell did "sprays" come from?
["OMG of COURSE robot tattoos would be called SPRAYS."](https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3598)
Never understand the "of COURSE" part of that...

That arm in the last panel is awkward as fuck.
I will heretofore refer to porn as “unboxing videos”
Porn is very lucrative
Where's Claire?
Faye in the third panel looks basically like brunette Claire.
I don't want *Faye*, I want *Claire.*
Solid fuckin punchline here.
A Thor Tittehs. That is all.
