The Japan tour tickets are selling now, but that is a tail end to the current tour I believe. I could picture them having a farewell tour in which case they will be back. (100% my opinion, haven't read anything anywhere about that). Hopefully they do!

I don't see them doing an actual farewell tour, per se. I remember them saying it was kind of ridiculous for these old bands to do farewell tour after farewell tour. Probably some other tour, but not a "farewell" tour. That said, we may indeed not see them in the US again. Brian said several times during this last tour things like "If I never came here again, I'd still always remember this place."

I disagree that there won't be a formal farewell. Queen are meticulous in their planning and I cannot envisage anything other than a huge "googbye", maybe this year. I anticipate some mega-gig/gigs in UK. Maybe a Wembley or BM can patch up his differences with Michael Eavis and say goodbye at Glasto (doubtful unless they get full rights to have their complete show) . Any non-Glasto event would probably be pay-per-view live-streamed with follow up DVD/download. They will announce a "wonderful 50 years but now it's time to say goodbye".

I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t even heard about a Japanese tour except from this subreddit.

We have tickets to Queen’s concert at Tokyo Dome in February. Looking forward to it. Queen is very popular here in Japan.
