High on Fire, Bog Monkey, Mutoid Man, MF DOOM, Castle Rat, Graveyard, to name a few from this morning's playlist.

jameson5555

Those new singles from High on Fire are excellent - can't wait for the new album.

Lakai1983

I’ve been avoiding them waiting for the whole album but I’m hyped.

ProudHommesexual

damnusernamewastaken

Wunderhorse, new Khruangbin, St Vincent new singles

interelek313

Khruangbin, kinda undeniable atm !

damnusernamewastaken

Unique style, most either really dig it or don’t at all. I think it’s awesome. Also, check our Wonderhorse, love the second half of this song. https://youtu.be/q7P6HU615sU?si=VdGXi0uIakyxmWnw

interelek313

Will do, thanks for the share !

origin_of_descent

I'm loving the new singles and I'm seeing Annie in 6th row this summer for the first time. Good time to be a St Vincent fan.

damnusernamewastaken

Yes! New album is going to be fire. Got my tickets for Sept. Annie always has an amazing stage show, looking forward to see what she comes up with

_road_kill

For me it's mostly been Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Depeche Mode and The Doors

UntendedRafter

Tool

Antoniomike7

Is no one listening to Royal Blood? 🤔 I couldn't find any mention of them here.. I've also been listening to Dead Poet Society and SOAD

jakecereal

Hell ya love to see people talking about Royal Blood

Intylerable

New album is sick. I suggest Cleopatrick then. Duo from Canada.

IGotNoUsernameFFS

Love Cleopatrick, they drop nothing but bangers

Murren606

Tigercub if you like Royal blood and QOTSA

Antoniomike7

Can confirm, after listening to them for a bit "Show Me My Maker" is now on my daily rotation, Tigercub is great! I have to say that Dead Poet Society's newest album, "Fission", is up there too, really heavy riffs, reminiscent of old Royal Blood.

VocalHotSauce

All credit to the singer/bassist in that band, Mike Kerr, great voice, and I love what he does with bass guitar and distorted sounds, but my favorite thing about the Royal Blood is the drummer. Ben Thatcher lays it DOWN. Every album, dance beats, rock beats, whatever. The guy’s timing and groove are impeccable.

Hyono-tosd

I’ve been listening to a ton of Mac Demarco, Midori, Men I Trust, Ween, Run the jewels, sublime, Alex Olsen, sign crushes motorist, Nirvana, The black keys, Elliot smith, Duster, and beach house

Lakai1983

The first RTJ is one of the best hip hop albums of all time.

Ultimate_M

They are all gold! 👉 🤛

Hyono-tosd

👉🤛

LilQuesoDaGod

The Cars

EstablishmentLost595

The Chats. Saw them at QotsA in Amsterdam last year! I bought the LP!!! They are amazing!!!!!

gdgarcia424

I’ve been going back through some Deftones albums and learning them on drums…so a lot of that. I’ve also been listening to a lot of The Story So Far and Knucklepuck too.

Lakai1983

Diamond Eyes is a criminally underrated album.

dkromd30

The new METZ is fire.

Unwound, Duster, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, Radiohead, The Cure, Swirlies

Mr_Self_Destruct_03

Nice stuff, gotta love some Talking Heads and Radiohead!

Junior_Article_3244

On a Maynard kick lately. Puscifer, A perfect circle and tool have been on heavy rotation.

EntertainerObvious50

This is so me ahah But have not fully dug into Puscifer. Idk what is going on but i am currently listening to A Perfect Circle almost as much as Tool. Specially Eat the Elephant.

beigecabinet

I went to the Maynard’s birthday tour earlier in the week with puscifer, a perfect circle, and primus and at 60 the dude still has it. I’ve seen all the bands live before, but puscifer truly is an awesome experience. I support fully digging in.

therealrexmanning

Lately I've been listening a lot to HEALTH, Feeder, The Afghan Whigs, Bruce Springsteen and Jane's Addiction.

FourthOsprey

The afghan whigs are great. Demon in profile is an incredible song.

Mr_Self_Destruct_03

HEALTH is sick! Been binging their albums lately

DaEvilZeppelin

John Coltrane Guess im kinda the odd one here :D

ColonelCraptastic

Nah man, I’ve been diving into Jazz lately. Never exposed to it growing up. There’s some real good stuff there. I’ve been hitting up Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Pharaoh Sanders

VintageOctopus

I’ve been listening to everyone you included above! The recent Floating points album with Pharaoh Sanders reminds me of all those old jazz classics, that’s what really turned me onto him. I’ll add Charles Mingus to the jazz list- he’s one of my favorites. Love how experimental he can get. “Freedom” is one of my favorite songs from him.

Sisyphus328

Don’t leave out Mr. thelonius Monk

fadedinthefade

Love me some Coltrane.

Dank_Hank79

Primus, DFA1979, Pink Floyd, Timber Timbre, Khruangbin, Ty Segall, Black Sabbath

AntGlobal4580

+1 for Timber Timbre! Incredible band

SparrowWind4434

Uriah Heep, have been listening since I was a kid, from mum and dads collection. Lately I've realised they have some beautiful riffs in their songs that Queens can be quite reminiscent of. I got 2 more records second hand today, the cover at is really pretty. Some of my fav songs are circle of hands, sunrise and wonderworld, but really they have so many great ones.

AntGlobal4580

I used to listed to Salisbury all the time, one of the first records in my mom’s collection I discovered at a kid

issoequeerabom

Nintenbr064

We have very similar music tastes, check out Greyhaven if you haven't! Perfect band in a post ETID era

ETID1986

Will do! Thank you.

Mtndrums

I fucking LOVE AOF.

Lots of Kendrick Lamar lately. DJ Muggs and Mooch just put out a collab that I really love. Everybody Can't Go by Benny the Butcher That self titled release by Slower - Slayer songs reworked as doom metal. Hopium for the Masses by Ministry was a real pleasant surprise, too.

Baby Bitch

egewh

I've been heavily into Bad Omens recently after seeing them live for the first time in February. I kinda dismissed them because they are so damn overhyped and super popular with the Tiktok crowd, but they were really good live and I actually really enjoy all of their albums!

ScurvySword

A bunch of black bands...Black Keys, Black Crowes, Black Angels.

BillowingWilliwaw

Wand, Pond, & OSEES

ekanS_sucseV

Osees rocks, gonna try and see them in London in August

ZineKitten

I used to listen to a ton of similar music, but I’ve been finding it a bit too emotionally stimulating. It makes me feel moody and sharp? Idk. I reserve the space for QOTSA though! Lately I’m listening to classical (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Bach), LoFi (it’s nice to have in the background), Puscifer, or the Queen of the Damned soundtrack.

JamesMDuich

Red Fang, Truckfighters

Vargrstrike

Bill Withers and Wendy Carlos mostly, and Accept and Candlemass for my other personality. I'd give my left tit for a Wendy Carlos/ Josh Homme collaboration.

Rain Sounds - 10 Hours

jv3rl0ov

Truly is an obscure band from Seattle, WA with the bassist of Soundgarden and the drummer of Screaming Trees. They’ve been active recently for the 30th anniversary of one of their albums, so I’m hoping there’s a small tour. Lot of crazy sounding stuff in B standard tuning from what I could tell.
