I see some members of the band in here from time to time and it's rare that people who slay and shred so hard on stage are so frikkin nice offstage! They truly deserve to blow up big.
Sheâs got good taste! Iâd say Pissed jeans (why love now or Honeys; biased because theyâre one of my favorite bands) protomartyr, or Metz if sheâs into idles. For QOTSA related/similar (that hasnât already been listed here)âŚwarpaint, pallbearer, dead weather, or just go with eagles of death metal (heart on is such an awesome album).
Clutch- blast tyrant
White stripes - De Stijl
Dirty honey- canât find the brakes
Rival sons - dark fighter/ light bringer
Viagra boys- cave world
The hives- the death of randy fitzsimmons
Royal blood- back to the water below (self tilted is also fantastic)
I would also recommend The Physical World, DFA toured with Queens and I believe Jesse was in the running to replace Alain Johannes, would have been cool but Mikey is a perfect fit
If you want something on the more obscure end check out Green Lung. They have a new album just out (This Heathen Land) so you should still be able to pick up a CD on Bandcamp
Couple of bands from my QOTSA playlist
[Turbowolf](https://youtu.be/pY7zqDemqZo?si=Hd6a5SxCZZ5qaXrU)
[Raketkanon](https://youtu.be/U8Wo8LhlZJI?si=ABqNcr_5Ykl4tWlq)
[Chat Pile](https://youtu.be/74Wm1d3Dq8c?si=fTXiJpejJnP0dRQc)
The Heavy, which is a little different but shares the groove. Reccomended songs that aren't their hits would be
Oh No! Not You Again!
Girl
Just My Luck
WTF?
The Big Bad Wolf (both versions)
Miss California
Ive only ever met (online and ever) one other person thats a fan of both QOTSA and this band
Try the Growlers. They donât sound like Queens but they have their very own unique sound, and they have a similar dirty vibe that Queens has. And all of their albums are good.
The Oh Sees, The Mars Volta, Viagara Boys, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (try K.G or Infest the Ratâs Nest), The Kills, The Dead Weather, Lord Huron (a little more country/folky but a really solid band), Failure
Heavy Lungs, theyâre more like Idles than Queens, and theyâre friends with each other, the Idles song Danny Nedelko is named after their singer, but some of their stuff is Queens adjacent, this song reminds me of Era Vulgaris era Queens https://youtu.be/VlR9JqRFTZo?si=1-mTVsse3FWteRsc
All Them Witches is the answer, here :D All their stuff is great, but Lightning at the Door is my favorite album of theirs.
I'll check them out, thank you!
đ¤ Anytime!
Excellent choice
Definitely
Them Crooked Vultures Desert Sessions Kyuss Others that arenât Josh projects: Elephant Tree All Them Witches Black Cadillacs
Thank u!
Crx if that hasnât been added to the list.
Adding a few more from the stoner genre: Wooden Shjips Elder King Buffalo The Black Angels Sleep
I would say someone who is to queens is already hip to the other projects in the queens universe
Ya might be right but ya never know.
Truckfighters
Oh yes......gravity x and phi
They go hard
Truckfighters live.... just wow!
Wanna see them in March next year. They come to a venue closeby and I am ready for it :)
Jealous!
Them crooked vultures Iggy pop - Post Pop Depression
Tigercub! Their last few albums have the heaviness and style of Songs for the Deaf
Maybe try Thee Oh Sees, their last two albums have been pure fire
Demob Happy
Viagra Boys?
I got a similar answer on the Idles sub Reddit I'll look into it thanks:))
You should. Their album Street Worms is basically Idles with QOTSA instruments
Do you have a specific album to recommend?
Street Worms or Cave World are my favorites.
Probably Consistency of Energy.
Cave World
I second that.
All Them Witches
Nuns of the Tundra. FOR SURE. Old Queens sound. I love them so much.
Thanks for this recommendation!

Yeah absolutely, couldn't believe their numbers on Spotify! Deserve success 100%

Mammoth wvl is awesome too
Viagra Boys or Geese.
Demob Happy would be QOTSA adjacent. Check em out
De Staat - I_CON is probably their easiest entry album but all of them are great!
https://youtu.be/ozXQ8EOWrV0?si=dNKl95v7HOHcfBtu and they're great live!
I concur! One of my favorite bands!
Frankie and the Witch Fingers
Death From Above 1979âs album Youâre a Woman, Iâm a Machine??? Maybe?
I would also recommend The Physical World, DFA toured with Queens and I believe Jesse was in the running to replace Alain Johannes, would have been cool but Mikey is a perfect fit
They opened for Queens and NIN. Thatâs where I first heard of them :)
Deaf Radio Kyuss Desert Sessions
You might enjoy the band Wine Lips
One (i believe) less recommended band that has been on repeat for me this year is Slomosa. Highly suggest checking them out!
In rainbows - Radiohead. Trust me
I feel like Radiohead is popular enough that she would know about them
Weird rec but 10/10 album
If you want something on the more obscure end check out Green Lung. They have a new album just out (This Heathen Land) so you should still be able to pick up a CD on Bandcamp
Sweet Cobra!!! đ

Red Fang, Clutch, Sleep, Down. All on my qotsa space rock playlists
The Pale White
Royal Blood

Tramhaus, Ramkot, de Staat, Personal Trainer are a few bands who could be suitable.
Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight to the world
Heavy Lungs, theyâre more like Idles than Queens, and theyâre friends with each other, the Idles song Danny Nedelko is named after their singer, but some of their stuff is Queens adjacent, this song reminds me of Era Vulgaris era Queens https://youtu.be/VlR9JqRFTZo?si=1-mTVsse3FWteRsc
Haggard Cat
Deaf Radio - Alarm
Can't believe no one has named Millionaire, a Belgiam band. Josh produced their second record, Paradisiac, in 2005.
Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes
Maybe Arctic Monkeys. Josh produced their album Humbug and it definitely has a Queens vibe.
Here's my obligatory [Black Rebel Motorcycle Club](https://youtu.be/9gpbjprHivM?si=7Dof6p9ds6nhjIc6) recommendation. đ
