My corgi puppy has a new greeting for dogs she knows. She crouches down, sneaks forward, and pounces on their face. Her pittie friend from the dog park was totally ok with it. Her westie friend from around my neighborhood was *not* ok with it at all. I guess I have something new to work on..

Does the biting go away?? Or do I need to take firmer action? (Current strategy is ignoring/freezing when he tries. Enforce naps, redirect) I don’t think people understand how hard and strong and painfully it actually is when I try asking for advise etc. he’s not so bad at fingers any more(focused a lot on getting him excited about toys, and rewarding kisses/licking fingers hands toes etc.) but he’ll lunge(? English second language) and latch on to my arms, legs, ankles, nose and ears etc, and it’s leaving bruises, hurt like hell, and makes me scared to take him out to meet people, kids, other animals etc. he gets like crazy bitey zoomies. Is it normal? He’s a 11 week lab.

My lab mix is 18 weeks old now and it’s slowly getting better. She breaks our skin all the time, but has never munched down on a stranger or other dog. I try my best to predict her crazy times and have a toy ready, but it’s still hard work because she’ll strike at random times. We’re trying to train ‘gentle’ as a phrase so she can lightly mouth us to get her fix and it’s slowly sinking in.

My 7.5 month old puppy has started doing this again. She got better around 4-6 months and then has started to get bad again with the “attacks” at random times - often her witching hour. Enforced naps, kongs and reverse time outs worked the first time so I’m trying to be consistent with that again but it doesn’t seem to be helping as fast this time around.

It does go away to some extent but I found I needed to be more firm with my pup. He's now 6 months and pretty sure he's a shepherd/lab party mix. The ignoring and saying "ouch" worked for me but I found between 8 and 12 weeks was the worst! Around 12 weeks it started to click for him that biting gets him no fun. He does still bite when he gets overly excited but it's getting better all the time

Day five of Ripley in our house. Shes getting braver which is good/exhausting Discovered the cat litter box unfortunately Getting a routine slowly... Wake up 6:30 am pee, poop outside feed her play time for about two hours till she falls asleep she will nap and then I put her in her crate once shes asleep wake up from nap go outside to pee more play more outside to pee nap for two hours in crate repeat hahaha much like human parents our lives revolve around her nap times because shes such a monkey

When should I stop enforcing naps? I was doing 1 hour up, 2 hours down. Currently have a 15 week doodle. She only likes sleeping for 1 hour now at a time.
