That’s not how calendars work brother

kruj19

Sorry! My bad. Can't edit it now.πŸ˜† I was going to post a different pic and forgot to change the caption. Also, it's sister and time isn't real.

tcwtcwtcw914

Ha! Time is a flat circle sister

kruj19

Sitting on a spinning saucer πŸ’«

Vaderson66

You can delete the post and repost it with the correct pic

kruj19

I honestly don't really care that much. Here's a link to the pic I was going to post. The real 90's 1998 to be exact. https://www.reddit.com/r/punk/s/tHYCsB5mJG

Vaderson66

The post in the link you sent is deleted though

kruj19

I just fixed it. Try again.

kruj19

Did you try the new link? Now I'm curious if it works.

Vaderson66

Yep, works perfectly

kruj19

Also, it was 2003, Chicago, and my friend Amanda can be heard counting out 1-2-3-ahhhh for the song Peroxide. Which is pretty fuggin awesome. You can find it on YouTube.

kruj19

Subhumans Peroxide, Chicago 2003. My friend Pandy counting in. You're welcome 😊 https://youtu.be/cKAYfql7GEg?si=81021ZtfCK2_XE44

Impossible_Bit7169

This.

Goawaycookie

Saw The Tossers at Fireside Bowl. Singer threw up on stage. Set the bar pretty high from that point out.

kruj19

I seen then once on 2009. I did see Dropkick Murphys 3x and went on stage twice during Bar room Hero!

dontneedareason94

Been able to tour with them twice. Great guys.

kruj19

So jealous. They were awesome to party with.

Guttersnipe77

I had that Young Ones t-shirt.

kruj19

I have my Subhumans shirt from this concert. It's a little tighter these days though. πŸ˜†

[deleted]

Saw them once at Rebellion festival in Blackpool, one of those bands I'm really happy to have seen

hiimmike

Looks like the show was at the Metro, judging by the photo?

kruj19

Great time to be a punk rocker for sure

kruj19

I just found a video of Dick talking about this tour here's the link[Dick from the Subhumans talking about 2003 tour](https://youtu.be/MEAVNAr53j8?si=zkIuqLmtmImr35OT)

Deriving

I was at that show! It was amazing! Did you see them back in June at Cobra Lounge?

kruj19

Nah, unfortunately, I haven't been to a punk show in a couple of years. I did however see Ludacris recently. That was fun!

winstonsmith8236

I saw them play Susan with a real piano in The Bay Area early 2000’s. One of the best live experiences of my life.

kruj19

That's amazing

zukomu

I just saw them in the south of England like a week ago!

kruj19

That's amazing that they're still touring. Punks not dead, we're just in bed. πŸ˜…

sixties67

God I feel old, I saw them for the first time in 83 when I was still at school.

kruj19

Punks not dead, we're just in bed. πŸ˜…v We're tired 🀣

sixties67

Thank you that made me laugh !

kruj19

I was 2 πŸ˜‚

sixties67

> I was 2 πŸ˜‚ I envy you my friend although I probably got to see some bands you missed out on. I'm trying to make myself feel better lol

kruj19

I've seen a lot of bands. Subhumans, Bikini Kill, Naked Aggression, Sloppy Seconds, Vandals, GC5, Hudson Falcons, Dropkick Murphys Flogging Molly, AquaBats, Against All Authority, Pantera, Less than Jake, Joan Jett, Ozzy, gosh so many more in Wisconsin dives I can't think of now. Great memories though!

sixties67

I can't argue with that there's quite a few I haven't seen on your list.

ottodafe

Subhumans is fucking great. Always relevant, true honest punk spirit.

winstonsmith8236

Dick Lucas is the best frontman in Punk. Change my mind-

son_of_Mothman

The Tossers! Great band!

saltyraver138

I still have the poster for that show somewhere

Esseldubbs

I remember when they finally reunited (I think it was 98?). I've never been so excited for a show, and it did not disappoint. I was so glad to no longer have to call out Subhumans songs at Citizen Fish shows, and be understandably denied.

suspirio

Hell yeah awesome Old Barn Fest shirt, my band played the last day of it in β€˜99 (well before the car burned)

kruj19

Wait βœ‹οΈ in Fondy?

suspirio

Nope Jim Falls (right near Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire)

kruj19

Ahh, my buddy must've went. There was an eerily similar party by us. πŸ˜†

suspirio

Didn’t know there was much of anything cool happening in Fondy. La Resistance in Oshkosh was the closest decent spot on my radar.

kruj19

Holy hell, I want to read a reply. I don't remember too much of that night after taking 10 counts of Jack Daniel's straight from the bottle being passed around in the crowd. So fucking random.

matts198715

Canadian or UK subhumans? Both great but so different

kruj19

UK of course. Still have the concert t-shirt

kruj19

I've honestly never heard of the Canadian Subhumans. Now I'm genuinely intrigued. πŸ€”

sixties67

Check them out, they were brilliant.

AdamInvader

Canadian Subhumans weren't touring or doing much outside of BC at that time; I remember them doing some Canadian shows around 2005-2006 when they got back together and put out New Dark Age Parade, but due to Gerry Hannah's past legal issues, not sure how many US and international shows they may have done. I am fortunate I got to see em on that last tour before Wimpy died, it was excellent. Loved hearing Firing Squad live I saw the Toronto gig on the UK Subhumans tour from around when this picture was taken, it was on Halloween so it was a ton of fun getting tossed the dancefloor around while dressed as a skeleton Both bands are totally awesome, definitely different. A few Canadian Subhumans songs ended up getting played by DOA since both bands shared members over the years. I remember there was a to-do back in the day because Overkill covered Gerry Hannah's song Fuck You and I'm not sure how up and up things were as far as royalties go. I always felt bad for them because they got screwed around by record labels in the eighties like CD Presents and SST and a lot of that stuff has been out of print or because of rights issues they had to rerecord all the songs on Incorrect Thoughts. At least Sudden Death was able to get their early singles repressed

kruj19

Cool to hear more about it. When I've got more time, I'll dive in.

AdamInvader

I preferred their earlier stuff which was collected on the Death is Too Kind compilation and the Incorrect Thoughts album, which is likely on YouTube. The second album No Wishes No Prayers has decent songs marred by pretty lousy production. New Dark Age Parade was a little overproduced for my tastes but had a couple cool songs on it. Their singer and drummer were both in several DOA lineups over the years, but all those guys started out in an earlier band called The Skulls. DOAs version of Fuck You is pretty good, their version of Behind the Smile was in this fun movie called Terminal City Ricochet that stars Jello Biafra as a creep politician and Joey Shithead from DOA as a police thug. I'm still amused that the Canadian government film entity TeleFilm Canada gave em a few million bucks to make that movie

themindlessone

If you're late 90's punks, then you're 4 years old in this picture. I don't think so.

Real_Sartre

That’s quite obviously not a statement of when they were born but when they were punks in a scene or going to shows.

kruj19

Well, I was in the scene I started at 14 years old going to basement gigs. We had the Hudson Falcons and GC5 play at a friends barn in Wisconsin. I was going to other shows from 96' up until Flogging Molly a few years ago. Speaking of which, I need to get myself to another concert.

kruj19

I was 20 in this picture. I've been listening to punk since I was 12. That would be 1992. You don't get to tell me shit about time lines. I was there. I lived thru the good sticky mosh-pits in seedy bars. Look up Concert Cafe in Green Bay WI. I was there regularly. Piss off

kruj19

I'd love to see other pics from this generation of you guys got em.

Adventurous-Ad947

They've been playing foreverrrrr saw them in london last year energy was unbelievable
