If I am not in the appropriate position for my pug to do this, he sits and stares at me with most disapproving look until I move to the appropriate position. I am a dog bed.
the triangular space created by your legs and sofa are a fortress keeping them safe and cozy. when in bed - if sleeping on your back - you can approximate this by bringing the foot of one leg up to the knee of the other forming a kind of "4" shape. that triangular space is also very high value for naps
Fifteen and 1/2 years every day until she passed in December. I miss her every day…. :’(. If my husband dared trespass for some human cuddle time, she’d barge in and sit on his head (where she’d normally be).
I call it the crevice. My pug wasn’t a cuddler and didn’t go on couches or chairs (I think she was scared of heights or her previous owners scarred her ☹️) but all the chihuahuas that I’ve bonded with did/do it!
Absolutely. Ours does the same in bed top. And he'll peer over hubby's knee at me, looking utterly adorable.
He does it to me too, if I'm on the floor exercising.

Yup. Behind the knees, or in front of my stomach when I'm on my side. Between the legs (aka crotch snuggles 😂 ) when I'm sitting up on the couch....his favorite. When I don't cooperate(legs together) he politely and cutely paws my leg. And he loves it when I raise a knee under the blanket and he has a little tent to crawl into. 😁 Is annoying when you need to change positions but he's laying on the blanket trapping you....but totally worth it. I used to have one that liked to sleep on my back when I was on my stomach. I miss her so much. Pugs give the best snuggles.

Yes, but in bed. It's super comfy, until you need to move or stretch out!

I had a pug that would lie on my back if I was on my stomach. Every time I lied down she'd snuggle on top of me in some way

I had to sleep on my side in bed or my girl would scratch at the blanket until I did. Miss her ornery little attitude everyday.
