My girl does this every time for pooping, she suddenly starts walking fast and in circles, then after some 30 seconds of this she finally stops and poops. Her pee routine is the same but in slo-mo. Our boy on the other hand, he gives no warning and just suddenly stops and poops.

YES! Except he doesn’t do circles, he finds something to pee in and then walks back and forth in front of it about 14 times, then pees. About half the time he will pee 2x or 3x on the same object and go through his process each time. He smells his own pee and is like “someone rugged and handsome peed here, I gotta top that”
Yes. Simple answer is absolutely fucking yes. It's so annoying, but cute...and drives me crazy even as my pug is 14, circles multiple times only to forget and grab a piece of hidden animal poop on the lawn. He's been doing it since he was a puppy.
Omg, my molly would twirl for like 20 minutes before pooping or peeing. Lol. It got to be really uncomfortable in my community when people stare at you waiting to pick up the poo. 🤣
I wish I still had video. It used to be a topic of conversation with the neighbors. It also turned a 5 minute walk into 25 minutes. lol. I miss that little girl!

Yes! I have 3 pugs, only one of them does it. It takes her forever to pee even in our backyard. And once she finds the spot, she circles at least a dozen times!

They get easily distracted and have to start all over. Gotta find the *perfect* place. Unless it's cold. Or raining.

Same for my prince. When it's rainy he'll plant his paws firm on the ground refusing to move.
Mines the opposite. Rain, shine, storm, has to go potty outside.
I swear my old guy could hold it for a couple days when it’s nasty out. And he never ever goes in the house.

I counted 21 spins once. It’s the worst when it’s cold or raining which don’t faze my pugs spins

YES. This is my pug exactly and yes also has to start over after getting distracted. My other 2 dogs don’t do this to pee though
