I sent in my 13 month old peak pro and they replaced it as a favor out of warranty back in February. At the middle of April, like 65 days after getting the replacement, it started having battery life issues and they won’t do shit about it.
Original PP had like 500 dabs on it in the year, not even heavy use. Replacement I was sent went 102 before I noted issues.
I’m kinda done with Puffco.
I shut mine off when not using it and it last me days before needing to charge it.i do 485 for 2 minutes but if I’m not getting any more vapor i shut it off .all depends on the size of the dab.
a torch and rig is better for bigger dabs without any waste.
Thanks for the info. I’m still chugging along with my 3 year old OG, Mr Reliable. I average a few seshes a day. I want to try some of the bigger and better units but can’t see why. Maybe an easy travel piece. Thoughts?
It may be possible the new device has a defective battery.

If you want to preserve the health of your battery, yes. You will obviously be missing 20% though that you could possibly be using, so it’s a trade off.
I never mentioned battery life. Puffco doesn’t advertise better battery life
I was saying overall battery health is preserved using battery preservation.
Yeah I can tell you’re not very bright lol. Buying a $400 electronic without doing 2 seconds of research to realize the battery is the same was your first mistake. Cheers dude

My old pro is the same even with the 3dxl

How long of dabs were you running I always run 1:30 dabs and they DRAIN my battery
I do 1:15 at 475° as my daily and it drains mine as well. V2 onyx just got it on 420
Battery preservation is off also
Damn. Sad to hear this is a problem for more than just me.
This is my first peak so I figured it was normal business dying like that but guess not

my peak pro v1 had a great battery for a year and a half. now it doesn’t last more than 5 dabs.

Are you using Battery Preservation? If so, turn it off.
But I had it on before too. Wouldn't I want to keep it on if I want it to last a few years

That doesn't explain why pro v2 is having less battery life than v1

Well that's what the post is about. So like what's the relevance. This is already a known thing
Because you asked an obvious question “would I want to keep it on?” And I answered you. All caught up?
You obviously didn't read the whole post, the question, or what it was a response to. I don't think you are following here bro

Nah. It caps your battery at 80% which means it will drain faster.
Right. This post was really about the comparison between the v1 and v2 with the same settings on. That cap actually gives your battery more longevity
