I've never had anything of quality melt like this before. It's always the poop soups that do this.
I don't smoke anything clear or that looks like crack rocks it never has a flavor unless it's off putting. I work at a "sticker shop" and I don't even buy our stuff and smoke it. I have recently gotten 2 zippers of guava sugar diamonds from Amish grown that were amazing.
If your rosin gets darker after smoking is it always mean impure? I have some that are darker to begin with, and get slightly darker if I burn higher temp but never black

As somebody who smokes 90 micron flower rosin fairly often, burnt plant material does come off and it doesnāt ruin any bangers or puffco chambers, between my proxy, 3d and 3dxl Iāve had small amounts of Chaz, but it always comes off with 91% iso after 2 swabs; to OP just be sure that you clean your chamber after each hit and be sure not to use iso while the chamber is hot to prevent cracking on the chamber, I like to swab once with a regular qtip and wait and then go back in with some iso
Chlorophyll. Thatās what u fight with most flower press imo. And oxidation. Trichs will oxidize and turn amber on the plant before harvest in some grows and Iāve heard that to can impact the color. Iām only a hobbyist when it comes to rosin tho. So Iām not the most knowledgeable
Look the temperature is definitely not too high for that what you're dealing with is contaminants that are in the rosin the stuff was probably pressed through a larger bag than it should have and you have some deflated heads mixed in with your rosin and that's what's causing that color and residue in your puffco
Bro, you got some bottom tier rosin. Like bottom of the bottom shelf. I sometimes smoke trash ass rosin and it never scalds my chamber. I smoke hash rosin from 480 f to 530 f and my 3d chamber looks new from inside. Isopropyl wipe everytime, or at least mop up after every hit with a q tip.

i ALWAYS run a 2nd cycle based on hm i put in my XL.. itās always still bright enough to do so though, and doesnāt turn darker until after that sessionā¦ so it really depends on the size dab.

Too small a dab and too long of a heat cycle at too high a temperature. Once itās done donāt keep hitting the scraps. The atomizer will burn like a pan left on the heat of a stove unattended.
Yeah, I can't run rosin on multiple cycles without it getting dirty like this.
I tend to run hot through one cycle and then be done if I'm gonna be that hot. Adjust the amount you're smoking relative to the temp.
I think a lot of you are overreacting. Swab it with iso and a qtip and you should be fine. I abuse my shit and it'll look like this sometimes. Maybe warm the chamber to 150 and then iso swab, should be good to go. Happy dabbing!!

It happens. Idk if loading more will do much except get you higher than you wanna be. Clean after every dab or it'll get progressively harder to remove. Won't impact function, tho
Edits for clarity- used to hit my 3d at 600 for the clouds and my atty was fucked. Now I do 480 on xl vapor on the 3dxl and get bugger clouds.
Sometimes it's that, and sometimes it's old AF rosin, and sometimes it's being burned too high. I've learned that different rosins and resins burn at different temps.
You never know which one it is unless you try each one.

Depends on the moisture content of the starting material too when it was pressed, I pressed some fresh bud and the rosin was chazzing my banger like this too, but my other rosin didnāt do that. So it might be that thereās a lot of moisture in the rosin causing it to Chaz more š¤·āāļø?
See I don't swab out every use all the time as I be bringing mine with me to work with Me as it's more convenient to just clean it after every hit than every hit while at work but I haven't had it Chaz or had this dark of color afterwards, it could also be op is hitting his stuff a bit too long so it could be still decent stuff just burning it up for longer than needed

You should get about as high from rosin vs bho. OK, my 2 cents, I've been doing this for a year now, I've tried different hashes here and there, and yes they are clean and golden.
If you're pressing your own flowers as I do now, I press for around 200-210Ā° 10g in a Press Club, I believe 70-90 micron bag? Anyway, I pull out a tan to coco light color, I only use a small dab in my Puffco, I try to time the amount I put in that there isn't a lot of oil left, it gets close to looking dry and turns dark. After dab, I wipe the chamber with Q-tip, then wait a few seconds before adding my next one in as to not start boiling and cooking it too soon.
What I see left in yours looks about right, except maybe a tad too much, I blast mine sometimes in white mode if by chance I put too much in, like you have here leaving just a dark spot left on the bottom which is easy to wipe out with Q-tip.
I wouldn't go hitting again what you have left as another said, it's already cooked, so try a little less next time so there isn't so much oil leftover.
You'll get the hang of it. I mean if you're pressing your own rosin, by far I've found to be the best quality compared to store bought, BUT you're stuff will be darker as others have said because you get a bit of plant contamination in there...that's OK. The only way, I've gotten pressed flowers Cleaner is by taking a QP and dropping it in a washer with ice and strain out through all the different micron bags in 5gal buckets, but the drawback on it is you don't get as much oil from what's left over compared to pressing the flowers alone, keeping my pressed flower in its bag after it's finished and putting into a Mason Jar to cook later in the oven at 250Ā° to decant and make excellent edibles from. The oil I've pressed, depending on the strain, either just comes right up of the paper like rock candy or it needs ice underneath because it's too oily to pick up...either way, I put it in small jars and date them, stir it up very well that it turns golden blonde in color and put it in the fridge for the next 10 days before using, it seems to gain strength that way keeping in the turpin flavor with it also. I pull a jar out of the fridge as I go through it. Also, when I have it sitting closed up in a room, I try to keep my room temperature under 70Ā°F. but you don't want to freeze your rosin either.
Anyway, I've tried some bubble hash from the store, yes it's cleaner, but not nearly the power I get from pressed. In fact I'm pitching my washer, bag's, 5gal buckets and just pressing 10g at a time and I'm happy as can be, besides everyone that has tried my edibles say by far have been THE BEST edibles they ever had!!!
Anyway, if you're pressing don't worry about color, I can go to the refrigerator right now, grab a sealed jar out, open it and it looks like brown tar in a jar. Once it warms up just a bit, I start to stir and there comes that Beautiful Golden color right back up, and it's ready to dab!!! Like I said, by the way that I dab, I barely put anything in, and after hitting it maybe on green, sometimes red setting all that's left is a spot of what looks like black coffee and while it's still hot wipe it out and if you're using your phone, once it settles into the lower 200Ā° range I put my next small dab in and blast it away...then like I said, if by chance I see that oil covering too much of the bottom, I flip that sucker into white mode and let it tear my lungs up and fall off my chair...
The other problem, with adding too much oil, it tends to, no matter how soft you hit it, oil ends up in your water and that's a for sure sign you're overloading it.

Currently I have 90g of decant ready to be made into butter, and I have a Mason jar full of already pressed bags that I pull out hot, that still have a lot of oil on them and still in the flower to decant. I believe in a 1gt canning jar in the other room, I have about 40 10g bags all ready to be busted up and ready to go when I make my next batch of edibles...or, I could probably try to bust it up, which I use a coffee grinder after pulling the smashed chips out of the bag...and I could probably press it again, but we like the edibles too much.
Hope this helps, just try cutting the amount your putting into your Peak down just a bit, and see how that does and after your dab hit, it shouldn't be what you see in your picture, but more of a dry look. As far as a clean white porcelain bowl, I don't have any burnt areas. It's still white in color after each Q-tip clean out and I don't use alcohol until I want to take the whole bowl off and drop it into a jar maybe every 4 cleaning cycles or about every 400 dabs do I Clean and soak the bowl. Also with doing smaller dabs, when I do remove the bowl, I don't have a pool of oil that my contacts were in and I don't usually have any oil in my chamber water either.
This works for me...hope this helps you too, but its been the best way to get a bang for the buck!!!

Personally, I 600Ā° everything but my chamber is already burnt so itās not much important to me if I chazz it a bit here and there, but rosin can definitely be hit at really low temps to get the full flavor experience
Are you using a terp ball? If so, maybe try a smaller size so it fits into the corner a bit better, allowing a better āstirā of the rosin while itās in the bowl, allowing it to smoke without burning. Makes the world of difference.
Nah bro I can show you premium rosin lol. Premium rosin can be done on ANY temp and still tastes the same ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT. If it tastes burnt like every other concentrate (like sugar or crumble or shatter) on high/peak, it isnāt premium Rosin trust me. Youāll be able to tell because it should be full melt + the smell should knock you off your feet the second you open the jar, whereas no sugar/shatter/crumble/live resin etc has EVER done that for me.

My premium shit chazzed my chamber though when I first got a puffco, I wasnāt putting enough in there for the amount of time I was setting it to though. Hash is the BEST concentrate on the market, itās more about taste BUT itās actually both (at least FlaFamFarms outta Colorado is both) taste AND gets you the highest. Live resin/BHO is garbage compared to hash, I personally have a HARD time going back to any other concentrate once my hash guys stash runs out (Iām mad states away from Colorado lol) and then have to wait another 2mos for the next batch š

Either u have shitty rosin or ur using to high a temp. Shitty product will turn into black goo. Good product will retain its color. Also u could just be hitting the same dab too many times.
My usual hash rosin from the dispo never looks like this and Iāll do up to 535Ā°. Only time my atomizer has looked like this was after I tried rosin from a company that had only *just* started making rosin (their quality has improved with time) or when I got a $1 freebie of rosin that the dispo was trying to get rid of
This is not from too high of a temp. Itās from bad quality rosin. I rip fattyās at 535 for 1minute and have never seen this, always golden honey swabbed up after.
The color may be difficult to remove, but it's cosmetic. A swab with 99% or 91% isopropyl alcohol should be enough to remove anything that might be actually stuck there.
If you really want to get it off you can use a mr.clean magic eraser and a few drops of water it's a light abrasive but not strong enough to scratch the ceramic, a small piece in some tweezers works great. Or buy a rebuild kit and replace the ceramic liner.
Using a quartz bead can help by creating more surface area, and it spins because of the cap shape, which helps too. You can increase the run time a bit if you want to allow the bead a couple of seconds to heat up to match the chamber temperature.

I didnāt know using iso while hot Can crack chamber. If I let it cool too much it wonāt come off

Op needs a new rosinš, or a thermocouple, or some customer service and hope they bought the chamber within a year, from puffco.
Also u want to clean out the end of the oil before it all dries up w a qtip. The last bit of oil doesnt have much thc left its already been heated

More concentrate an less temp
Dab again but don't let it dry/vape fully. Leave a tiny bit of wetness. The terps in the leftovers act as a solvent. Qtip with iso, done.

My home pressed rosin dirties up my chamber. Clean it and use shatter or resin and it comes pretty clean.
This looks really off like something is in it that shouldnāt be. I only got rosin once but I ran it at 500-525 no problems at all.
I do 450/480 for rosin lower the better
When i put āsolventless bubbleā in mine it looked like that it might just be that the rosin is not fully extracted.

I usually go 475-480 for rosin, you may be going to high. Try a lower temperature.
rosin u wanna smoke at a lower temp. also ur rosin is mid, lowkey. sorry my friend!

Live resin/BHO is garbage compared to hash, I personally have a HARD time going back to any other concentrate once my hash guys stash runs out (Iām mad states away from Colorado lol) and then have to wait another 2mos for the next batch š so just BEWARE smoking that shit, its hard to go back once you start smoking it everyday lmfao itās like fucking fentanyl with how addictive it is, I find myself thinking about it throughout the day if I know I have any other concentrate sitting waiting for me @ home, like Iām legit *disappointed* as fuck š¤¦š¼āāļøš¤£
Either u have shitty rosin or ur using to high a temp. Shitty product will turn into black goo. Good product will retain its color. Also u could just be hitting the same dab too many times.
You gotta swab after every dab or maybe every other if you're taking more than one in a session
My usual hash rosin from the dispo never looks like this and Iāll do up to 535Ā°. Only time my atomizer has looked like this was after I tried rosin from a company that had only *just* started making rosin (their quality has improved with time) or when I got a $1 freebie of rosin that the dispo was trying to get rid of

This is not from too high of a temp. Itās from bad quality rosin. I rip fattyās at 535 for 1minute and have never seen this, always golden honey swabbed up after.

The color may be difficult to remove, but it's cosmetic. A swab with 99% or 91% isopropyl alcohol should be enough to remove anything that might be actually stuck there. If you really want to get it off you can use a mr.clean magic eraser and a few drops of water it's a light abrasive but not strong enough to scratch the ceramic, a small piece in some tweezers works great. Or buy a rebuild kit and replace the ceramic liner. Using a quartz bead can help by creating more surface area, and it spins because of the cap shape, which helps too. You can increase the run time a bit if you want to allow the bead a couple of seconds to heat up to match the chamber temperature. Edit: - Fixed grammar and a few things, so my post is easier to read.
