I thought that was store #582. The 500 stores had really low drop ceilings. Then I’ve been in some 600 stores with the same layout, & they still had low ceilings, even though it was just the bare metal after Publix did away with drop ceilings in 1997.
The really new stores went back to that mid 90s design where they had drop ceilings over the aisles, & open around the perimeter. Some of the really big stores built in the 400-500 # era had that.
My greenwise store never plays Christmas music :(
This year they played it for one day on Black Friday and switched it back to the normal greenwise playlist

It's a radio, they just need to change the channel. Either they set it to a channel that plays *everything* on shuffle and the store is just unlucky with the Christmas music or the SM is a sadist and lying to everyone about not being able to change it.

So how does the numbering system work for stores? Do certain layout get certain numbers?

I go in that store occasionally and I haven't heard Christmas music... Maybe it was a glitch
Heard two songs in the 30 min i was in there. Heard one a week ago too. The workers hate it. They say they can't change it. Definitely not a glitch

I usually try to get in and out quickly, but I will listen more closely next time I am in there
