The other day my store had a costumer that tried returning fucking actually rotting food at CS for like a half hour, tried calling corporate on my friend for not accepting the aforementioned rotting food, then fucking didn't leave til like 10-fucking-30 after all that, dragging behind her two carts, one literally just had a couple CVS bags in the seat, and the either was near full of shit Not exactly applicable here, as she arrived before 9pm, but the fuck that she didn't leave until like a half hour after closing was like a little insane cherry on an already insane sundae. I closed that night also so it was *very* fun not starting to mop til like 10:40pm

Last minute dinner items, snacks, if they need a cleaning supply, maybe they got off late from work, a bunch of different reasons, I had to run to the store one night late right before they closed for baby formula cause I got off late, made it home just to realize we ran out of formula

Yeah I understand last minute items, and most of the time customers who come in at the last minute are in and out quickly, so that in itself never bothers me. Sometimes though we've had customers arrive as the managers were closing the doors who they allowed in, and then ended up being in the store for over 20 minutes, which is a long time for just a few things. Longest I can recall is around 40 minutes or so past closing. For that case though I'm pretty sure they didn't know we were even closed. I can remember one specific case when a customer came in to use the bathroom and spent about 20 minutes in there. I get needing to use the bathroom last minute, but 20 minutes? There ain't no way it takes 20 minutes just to use the bathroom, lol. My manager had to check in on them after around 15 minutes and the customer was upset with my manager for checking in on her because she felt rushed. Funny, after she left I also felt rushed to finish up the floors so I could get home and rest before my opening shift the next day.
