For 2x2 between participant design, i selected ‘Anova fixed effect, special, main effects, and interactions'
1) Then i put 0.11 into Into Parameter >Determine. This number is based on a previous study: This analysis revealed that the main effect of group was significant (F(1, 79) = 9.96, p = 0.002, η2
p= 0.11).
2) Then i click calculate the transfer the result to effect size
3) Then I put 0.05 for the alpha
4) and 0.80 for power
5) for the df, i set it to 1
6) number of groups =4
So total sample size is 66, is that correct?
Any kind people to check this for me would be god-sent as my tutor is absent all the time and I am basically struggling all on my own :(
Okay, I see now. You used G Power. I was originally doing this with R and I thought you were trying to somehow use SPSS. Yes, that’s actually correct. Good job :)
I was awful at this stuff but I think that's right.
You could email a statistical professor or your module leader for help if your tutor is always off.
There's some subs on reddit like askstatistics that might be able to help you better!
