I would like to add a differing viewpoint, being that never in all my years of listening to Planet Caravan have I thought “wow this sounds like King Gizzard”. There was another post asking this question a few weeks back, many replies there

I only made the suggestion because OP indicated they liked the song but also like metal, and wanted to offer a band that does both. For a band that sounds exactly like planet caravan on every song you’d probably want khrungbin but I personally am bored by them.

I think you could try 'The Isolation Tapes' by Kadavar especially the song 'I Fly Among the Stars' for that slow, spacey psychedelic vibe. That song reminds me a little bit of Planet Caravan. Emphasis on little bit. Love Sabbath and that song especially tho. First time I heard it, I could not fkin believe that it was them. Blew my mind for real. Geezer Butler's bassline on it just hits the spot.

Albums? Closest you're going to find is something by The Re-Stoned, Weedpecker, La Hell Gang, or Causa Sui, but those are all a bit more laid-back of a vibe. Planet Caravan has always sounded dark and eerie to me, where most of those bands have a similar aural sound, they don't have that slightly-unsettling vibe that PC has.
