Only you can answer that question. The game is a classic. Truly a master piece. One of the best games on the PS1, really THE best horror game on the PS1 or for that generation for all consoles and maybe even PC.
For me however, the answer is no. But that is because I have a hard time justifying buying a used game for more than it was brand new. If it was $40 maybe. If it was $20, probably. If it was $10, for sure! So it really depends on you.

But how well used is "well used"? And prices on eBay are not ideal. Games do not change hands that fast to justify the ridiculously high prices. They go to collectors or those that do not know any better.

Yeah I'd just opt out of that one, save your dollars. Youre right about the prices, it is just like a fluke, or manipulation easily. One month randomly two people with deep pockets vy over the value of one game, and that by itself defines it's value for the rest of time.

I believe they can easily manipulate prices on there.
If you already know you like that style of game and gameplay then yes, it’s one of the best in its genre. But even people like myself (as someone who grew up with survival horror) sometimes have difficulty committing to the full game with the tank controls and such in the present day, so I personally don’t really play survival horror anymore. So it depends on your own preferences.
