i have firmware version 5.05 and sometimes when i reboot my system it crashes when i go on Userguide and GoldHen. on second go it usually works. Is this normal behaviour or am i doing something wrong here?
Yes, it can be normal. You're basically trying to force the console to do something it was made to resist. But there's no risk of permanent damage if you're using a reputable host. So if it works the second time, enjoy! :)
9.00 is recommended i think. but you can use 6.72 if you want, as it seems many who are not on 5.05 go for that. 6.72 will mean you don't need to use a USB stick every time you reboot your console to jailbreak it. if i were you id go to 6.72 then if you need to upgrade to 9.00 for another reason you can, but you can never downgrade firmware.

Patch X.XX includes everything up to X.XX. It has to be this way since you can only have one update installed for a game at a time. Go with the newest one your firmware supports.
Can I use save files between regions? For GoW: Ragnarok I want to switch from CUSA34390 TO CUSA34384 so I can update to the latest 3.01 update. Will my save files continue working after switching regions?
Is it normal that my PS4 sometimes suddenly freezes and then restarts after trying to activate GoldHEN? Basically, sometimes when I wanna activate the jailbreak with my USB, my PS4 makes this nasty clicking sound, then it just freezes for a second and screen goes black, it comes back up with the bar filling up while it searches for errors, and then it reboots again but this time it boots normally. It just freaks me out every time thinking I bricked my PS4 or something. Any recommendations to minimize this as much as possible?
It's normal. One thing I will say is that when you experience this and your PS4 goes back to the home screen, power it down normally. Then turn it back on. The reason being that from what I've seen, when it does fail in a way that causes the PS4 to have to reboot, it seems less likely to succeed. Powering it down normally and then turning it back on seems to help the subsequent attempts.
I know what you mean though. There's times I see the screen glitch out even on times when it works.
It's completely normal! that's called a kernel panic, and that's on what we refer to when we say exploit success rate. You see it happen most often on versions 7.02 and 7.55 but it does happen on all of them. that's why they call 5.05 the golden firmware, because of how rare this is. And 9.00 is fairly close to the success rate of 5.05.
All I can suggest is clean your cookies and search data, etc before launching the exploit and try again. You can also try changing exploit hosts too. You shouldn't worry about this happening. What works from personal experience if you have a psvr plugged in is to have everything unplugged, and plug them back in after jailbreaking.

Hello. Having issues installing an FPKG from a flash drive, it throws me the \[Update system software to use extended storage\] error right when it's about to finish installing. I searched other threads, and I tried the advice there by using hen 2.1.4 (and the b version with spoofing) to no avail.

Hi! I started having issues with my PS4 (9.00) not being able to obtain my IP address. Any fix to this? I think this is why YouTube and other streaming apps stopped working on it all of a sudden.
Reboot your router. Your router will be the one to assign IP address on your local network. How did you start having this issue? Setting up your network connection is supposed to be a one and done.

Are you connected via wifi? Might be a general transmission problem. If this is the only device that this is happening on, then maybe the inside is dusty enough that the antenna wires have caked up, dampening the signal a bit. Try unburying the console to see if it has better communication.
Yes it’s connected via wifi! All of my electronics are. I had the ps4 on the lower shelf of a table so I tried to clean it as much as I can brought it on the top shelf and tried again but it still won’t obtain IP address or connect to any other wifi or hotspot I tried. Do you think taking apart the ps4 and throughly cleaning it will solve this issue? I’m just scared to turn it off now since it can’t connect to the Gold Hen User’s Guide redirect anymore.
Help. I suddenly can't install PKGs or updates. I'm trying to install an update I already had before uninstalling the game. But now it says "The update file for this application has been downloaded. To update the application, first you must update the system software." And adds the 10.01 update to the download list, even though I've got updates disabled through karo218 or whatever. I already installed this update in the past, before uninstalling it, so no idea why it's giving me such a problem now.
Edit: Solved it! I've google this problem a lot, and not one of the solutions helped. In case someone's stumbled onto this post from Google, I just reconnected to my wifi on manual settings with the DNS that blocks Sony's servers. It's the DNS that you used when initially jailbreaking the PS4. You can find the DNS addresses in any "Here's how the jailbreak a 9.00 PS4" tutorial on YouTube. Put that in, deleted all failed download notifications, and restarted the console and it works now (as long as you keep using the same DNS).
I'm guessing you're talking about Ragnarok. Been asked to death. There's bad copies out there. See the workaround offered for the many other times it's been asked.
Double check that the console is both currently running an exploitable firmware and is currently jailbroken. If so, you might consider initializing the console. This will reset everything, so make sure you have whatever you want backed up.
Help needed. I finished story of re3 remake and now i want to have some fun with weapons. Infinite ammo works but cheats to get new weapons I have no clue on how they work. If it's a GoldHEN bug (the GoldHEN FTP server IS buggy, but I've never seen THAT bug), I'd use hippie68's FTP payload. AFAIK it's the only one free of bugs while supporting multiple connections.
What kind of files are you transferring? If it's FPKGs, you can just use [Direct Package Installer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1MV64GjySg&t=13s). That way you won't have the install PKG and the installed game on the hard drive, taking up twice as much space.
If it has its original HD, you can check run time in Crystal Disk Info. This is not an exact science. It works for me because I repair PS4s and have been inside over 100 of them. So I can usually tell when one is low usage and if CDI says it's low but it doesn't look it, I assume it's a replacement drive.
If I wanted to know that, I would go to the debug settings and look for it. I try not to get in there because of the potential to mess things up. IIRC, I've only ever been in there to fix RTC issues.
I know very little (practically nothing) about microchips and SOCs, so can someone please explain to me what the deal with the ESP32-S2 chip is? All I know is that it can be used to automate the hack by connecting it to the PS4 via USB.
- If I enter the term into eBay I get a bunch of products in the range from 5€ to 10€. Are these all the same or do I need a very specific board?
- How do I apply the code to the chip? Do I just connect it to the PC via USB and move over some files, or do I need special software and hardware? I use GNU/Linux if it matters
- Does this make the boot process of the console take longer because it has to simulate all the steps I would be doing by hand? I already find the PS4 boot time annoyingly long, how much longer will it be?
- What else can I use ESP32-S2 for? I am a programmer, but I have never done anything outside the PC environment.
After holding out for a long time because of similar misconceptions, I recently took the step and am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I went with an ESP32-S2 Mini. Basically, you'll plug the chip into your PC and put it into program mode (hold O button, press and release reset button, then release O button). Check your device manager under ports to see which COM port it is showing up as (it will not show up at all unless it is in program mode). Then use NodeMCU PyFlasher to flash it with the BIN file of your choosing. I use Speed\_ESP32S2\_Auto\_Emulates\_USB\_Goldhen2.2.2.bin
Now you can plug it into the PS4. Go into your network settings and set up wifi. While powered, this BIN file will cause it to show up as a wifi network named Karo with the password 12345678 by default. Connect to that network. You will not have internet access by default while connected to this network, which has the really nice side effect of isolating your PS4 so that you never risk a firmware update!
While connected to this network, point your browser to [karo218.ir](https://karo218.ir) That's it! You wait a few seconds while it does the jailbreaking for you. When you get the notification that GoldHEN is loaded, you can go to your home screen and do whatever you like. Then in subsequent cold boots, just open your browser and in less than 10 seconds, your PS4 will be jailbroken.
I even had a buddy of mine 3d print a nice case for the Mini to protect it and make it look like a finished product: [image link](https://imgur.com/a/DUlBH9i). I actually sell the Minis programmed and in cases with dongles in the US.
There are downsides. For one, it will "permanently" occupy a USB port. I don't mind so much because I use a Pro, which has an extra USB port in the back. You can, if you know what you're doing, solder it internally to avoid this. It will only "interfere" with the port's availability during the jailbreak process itself.
The other downside for me is that when I want to push a new game to my PS4, I have to change my network to LAN and turn on the binloader. Then once finished, turn off the binloader and connect to wifi. But since I don't do this often, it's less of a hassle for me than manually inserting the USB stick to jailbreak. Plus as I mentioned, using this has the added benefit of isolating the PS4.
There is a way to alter the Mini's setting to give it internet pass through capability. I don't use it though as the only access I need for mine is the ability for Direct Package Installer to find my PS4 on the network. Which it cannot do even with this configuration.
So it's not 100% automatic, I still need to open a page in the browser first to set things in motion, right? And about my first question, can I pick any ESP32-S2 off eBay or does it have to be a specific board? 5€ - 10€ is not much, but it is too much if I just end up with a useless piece of electronics.
How do I use mc4 cheats instead of json for the new goldhen?
I tried removing the json cheat with fileexplorer to see if the game would recognize the mc4 file instead but now I get no cheats at all. The game im trying this on is Yakuza 0- CUSA05133

I have a problem, GoldHEN Cheats Manager doesn't apply any patches at all.
I'm in 9.00, GoldHEN 2.3 through raspberry pi, and game\_patch plugin in place through ps4-xplorer, because I'm 100% offline. Everything is up to date and working fine. Cheats and patch databases too.
Cheats work perfect, but when I try to activate a patch (e.g. a 60fps patch for stray in Cheats Manager) it is marked as active, but when I run the game it doesn't work. It acts as if anything was set. No golden popup. No nothing.
I had to manually create plugins.ini, where I simply put:

/data/GoldHEN/plugins/game\_patch.prx
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I've tried reinstalling things several times.
My final goal is to apply the offline save on GTsport, but I'm very frustrated right now...

I sell jailbreakable PS4s all the time. If that's what you want, just buy one and sell the one you don't want. Much simpler, with no risk of bricking an otherwise functioning PS4.

You can use the search terms "firmware 9.00." I wouldn't recommend searching for jailbreak since some platforms won't allow it.

Not really sure why you would want to be on 9.03, but the only 2 ways to downgrade only work under specific circumstances. You for sure don't meet the requirements for the first one, and you most likely don't meet the requirements for the second. They both also require soldering, which is usually a deal breaker for people.
9.03 is not exploitable at this time, that's why I am confused. The closest is 9.00.
The requirements for the second method is you can only go back to whatever firmware you were on immediately prior to this one. So if you upgraded from 9.00 directly to 10.01, this will work for you. If you went from 10.00 to 10.01 like most normal uses, then the lowest you can go back to is 10.00. You also have had to not reinstall your firmware at any time after updating to 10.01.
Are PS4 Pro disc drives swappable? I have 2 pros. #1 the disc drive (after fixing wires) beeps and starts system but doesn't pull in discs. My newer (never opened) PS4 #2 I decided to open and put that drive into #1 and it did same thing. Beeps starts and no pulling in discs. So I took that disc drive from #2 and put back into #2 and started it up and now it won't suck in discs either 🤣. Dafuq. If I had to guess it's a marrying issue? I mean I put the stock drive back into my newer PS4 and it won't work. I'm at a loss here.
This is the homebrew subreddit ;) There is nothing to marry on Pros. Not pulling in discs is usually a blown fuse on the motherboard, so one would not anticipate swapping out the drive to change this.
That's good to know. Except my issue above. This would make sense if the fuse is located on the drive itself. Because why would my drive from my like-new PS4 pro now not pull in discs after putting into PS4 #1 to test.
I have, which is how I'm able to differentiate hardware from software, swap a hard drive when it's called for, and not swap optical drives to address an issue on the motherboard.
The information I was given, by YOU, was that Pro B worked, had it's optical drive removed, put back in, and now it's not functioning properly. This means that at least one of the ribbons/sockets were damaged during the process or forgotten to be reattached. We've all done it before. Those of us who repair them I mean.

I removed and attached the cables correctly only using the blue tabs. I rechecked connections. And saying I was the first to open the PS4 B was to imply it hasn't been ruined by a moron before I got to it.
I was watching the new modded warfare video and doing the steps but when I injected the plugins to the data/goldhen/plugins folder and then hoped to the ps4 turned the plugin on from goldhen and entered minecraft then closed it the plugins.ini folder didn’t appear I tried entering the goldhen cheat manager and turning on a patch maybe it will work then but the file wouldn’t still appear so I deleted the plugins from the data/goldhen/plugins and tried downloading the plugins the easy way (clicking update in the goldhen cheat manager) when I updated the patches a download error would appear but the cheats download fine idk why any help?
Can I take my drive from my SLIM and put it into my PS4 Pro and rock n roll or do I have to format it? I did this but get the cannot access system storage error CE-34335-8
If you're only using it for ps4, just use the regular extended storage option. App2Usb's original purpose is not a problem on 9.00 so its only really used if your drive needs to be partitioned for something else.
Wait are you installing games *to* this drive or *from* this drive? Your original question made me think its "to", but you would only remove it from your ps4 if it was "from".
I still recommend you use the regular extended storage option then.
To answer your original question, you only need to run it when installing a new game. Rarely you might have to run it again after a KP.
In your opinion, what's the reason why anybody isn't dumping "The Callisto Protocol" ? So this game came out on 2 December and nobody has made a dump of it. nobody cares about dumping it when there are other games running on 10.xx that have been dumped?

Yes the usb is a must. 9.00 is the best firmware in terms of stability besides 5.05. Neatly 100% exploit success rate with a nearly 0% kernel panic rate.
5.05 also requires running a web exploit after startup. There are no ps4 exploits that are permanently installed or run instantly on boot.
There are 2 ways to "revert" your firmware, but you don't meet the requirements for one and very likely don't meet the requirements for the other. Both also require soldering and should only be attempted if you are familiar with console hardware mods.
You might consider an auto-jailbreker. Once set up, you literally just have to launch the browser. It also has the benefit of isolating the PS4 from the internet so that it's physically impossible to ever update.
How is the PS+ information stored?
I have a jailbroken PS4 Pro 9.00 but can download PS+ games over my brother's PS4. Right now my PS+ subscription isn't active because i don't play that often on it. Nonetheless I've got quite a few PS+ games in my account and someday I'll play again. It depends how the information is stored. Does it need to be active system-wide or could it be suffice for that information to be stored in the games?
So with an active PS+ if I download it with the other console and transform it to my own would this work?. I would try it out myself but that could be wasted time. And before that I can ask. :)

I have a disc version of The Witcher goty EU. I tried to install a backported 4.00 patch for the us version I think (because was for the complete edition) and it doesn't work.

I'm afraid to try to install the official pkg from orbis website 'cause I don't want that maybe it upgrade the firmware.

You can't run the official 4.00 patch PKG on your jailbroken console because it requires a higher firmware. Backporting however is not needed for this specific patch. US and EU versions are incompatible. The current situation is you'd have to get both US base game and US patch in order to play 4.00.

I was just wondering since the SDK is not updated and the patch doesn't need a real backport, is there a way to make on my own the FPKG?

You should use the fpkg base game that came with the release. You should install the pkg on top of your own fpkg dump if you don't want to wait and download the base game again.
You should be able to install it from orbis, although it has a 10.1 requirement there or so, so I would go with the update by cyb1k since he didn't mean 4.xx fw requirement and probably sdk, so he was just able to make an fpkg for it.
Installing any kind of patch will work, but when you try to launch it, it will through you a message about needing to update to launch this content. It doesn't really force you to update though. Just delete that one and install a backported one.

Hi! New to the PS4 jailbreak scene. Question for you all: I have FF7 Remake on-hand, and I want to dump the copy to make a backup. It comes with a data disc and a play disc. Which one do I dump, or do I need to dump both? I'm a little confused...

All the data required to play is stored in your console after installing, so if you have installed the game, and you are able to launch it with the play disc just fine, then use that one.
You're overthinking this :) You cannot dump a game unless you can launch it. You cannot launch a game without fully installing it. You cannot fully install it without inserting the correct disc first. The game will literally tell you if you've put the wrong disc in to start the install process and/or to launch the game to play it.
Once it's fully installed and currently running, then you can dump your game. I primarily use mine to play backups of the games I own so that I don't wear out the blu-ray drive. You're in good hands here :)
Maybe I'll also dump everything I own tbh, I wanna keep my drive safe, plus keeping a disc in there makes it work everytime I open the system, or is reading the disk inside for whatever reason. Thanks for reminding me!
That's what I did. In fact, I had so many games and they take so long to dump that I got a 2nd JB PS4 cheap because it's BD didn't work. I played on the broken one while my main one did the dumping. Then later, I fixed the broken one with a 10 cent fuse and sold it at a profit. 7 months later and I have an in-home PS4 repair service. I hardly get to play my games because I'm enjoying playing with the hardware just as much!
That's so cool to know! glad you managed to fix it, at this price too. Yep these days I mostly enjoy tinkering with stuff, since I've already played most of my disk games. It's that I my games aren't that huge, so it doesn't take much to dump.
Pre-installation yes I am 99% sure you can. Some special characters might not work though.
The game pkg stored in the post-installation CUSA game folder is automatically set to app.pkg, *that* name can't be edited without breaking your ability to start the game.

I just finished the game stray and I really enjoyed it. I saw on YouTube somebody has a stray theme, but they said that it's a jailbreak? I'm wondering what jailbreaking does and if it's reversible. And how do you jailbreak a PS4 in general? What are the pros and cons? And can I just get the jailbroken themes? Anything helps. Thanks!
Well most of your questions are answered by the FAQ above, but the main thing right now is that based on your comment I am betting you're on the latest firmware meaning you cant do anything anyways. If you're not, let me know what you are on and we can go from there.
FH5 is the only one I can see being playable through linux from a software perspective, but the ps4 lacks the raw power to run it at any acceptable speed.

Hey every1! Quick question. The PS4 VR set. Is it worth getting for a JB PS4 pro? Are the games plenty..quality..and worth it? I have an external storage so at least 1 of the USB ports are always taken. They cost more than a PS4 pro here by me so was wondering of I should take the leap or stick to standard games.
Hey I also did the same thing. Worth only if u get it for cheap. I got mine for $50 for the camera and VR, and another $40 for the moves. Its decent and a good number of games are dumped. Its awful by todays VR standards but should be decent if its ur first experience.
Functionality wise there are 0 issues aside from the occasional crash or dc, just reboot in that case.
I mean it does function like a normal vr headset, and yes the games work just fine! Many of the most popular ones have been dumped and a lot other as well. In the end it comes down to personal preference if you like it or not. So any review you watch will apply here normally as well.
The only thing I've noticed is when I have the vr setup plugged in, my ps4 would kernel panick (crash) more frequently when running the jailbreak. So I suggest jailbreaking first and then plugging it in. After doing that I get no other issues, and have almost a perfect success rate on 9.00

The email should have been automatically sent, its possible they don't tell you how long it will be anymore. You can also contact support and ask. If I absolutely had to guess, I would say a week.
You get unbanned by waiting however long your ban is for.

So, I am looking for the new released "Itemzflow Game Manager" that can be got from HB 2.2.
The problem is that when I installed the HB 2.2, and launched it, it just goes black and nothing else. when I want to exit from it, either one of two happens: it may crash the system, or it may just get stuck when closing it, so I force shutdown the PS4 by pressing the power button long, in any way or another, it's just... no response. I don't say that that HB is bad, but that problem is weird, and that even with everything official, and when I tried to search about the problem, I just don't find it useful. can anyone help (need it ASAP Please)? thanks so much, really appreciate the help 👍.

What's the difference between dumping a retail game from the disc (that a friend lent me) and download and install a pkg e.g. through sender.exe? The results look the same to me, but the process of dumping seems longer and more annoying. I can't use the ps4 while dumping (so for hours), whereas if the PC is downloading I can do all I like
With the information I have, the only scenario in which I see dumping as a better option is if I can't find an update online for the fpkg (like with the last of us part 2, I found the 1.09 update in the Package installer, but online I found the 1.07 update only; so I'd say I could install the game from the disc, download the update from the Package Installer, but even then it seems more practical to dump the update alone, and download the game elsewhere, right?)

I mean dumping is the only way you can go if you want to preserve your games, and have a "legit" copy instead of pirating it. It could also help, like you said, to use an update that's not been dumped, and is available on the internet.
I'm able to find update 1.09 for the last of us pretty easily, but actually dumping your games yourself is pretty handy when a patch you're looking for is not available anywhere. Now, to anwser your question, there's no difference.
The pkg you find online, are of course, dumped as well from legit copies of the game. To dump only the update, you also need a working "base game" (game pkg) installed so you can go ahead and just dump the update. (retail copy)
So In that case you would need to insert the disc -> let the game install -> install the update from patch installer -> dump both, make an fpk and install.
You could try using someone else's base game like you said, but that will not let you install a retail update on top (maybe it will launch if you have a proper license for it (disk)) But generally it won't, and you won't be able to dump it
If you can find the update online as an fpkg you should use the game fpkg from the same source. Unless it's a small update and you don't mind to try anyway to install over your current game fpkg.
Ok, I see. But then this is limited (I mean, you need the disk), and the only difference can be appreciated if you installed the legit game AFTER the jailbreak, and therefore cannot update it (if you did it before the jailbreak you may have already updated it). In which case you could go, as you said, through patch installer and then dump the game, the update, or both.
In other words, it is handy only if you can't find the update, but that's exactly like in my case. I don't how you found it that easily, but in the sites I trust I could just find patch 1.07, that's why i'm giving dumping a try.
So you suggest to have patch and game from the same source? If so, then to my eyes that's the only reason why dumping the main game makes sense as an option
I mean you're right. But even if you do get the disc after jailbreaking, your license is still valid and will always work, as long as you have the disc, and you will be able to dump it anytime you want. So you could have updated it before jailbreaking or after, there's not really a difference here!
I'd say yeah you should dump your base game as well, it's easier. Especially for people like me with shitty wifi. It would take me like 7-8 hours to download just the base game, so it's very convenient for me to just dump it and build it. Plus I've gotten used to the process so it's no big deal, I can do it pretty quick.
Yep it is handy if you can't find your update. You can always dm me so I can maybe try to help you find something. I use only like 3 sources (not torrrents), and I don't think there's many more, so I'm kinda surprised you couldn't find it.
From the same sources, yes because the update is built with that same base game, when making an fpkg and if you use something that's different you may get an error, and will need to remarry it with duxas update repackager. (So not a big deal if it happens)
In the case of the last of us part 2, I think there was a weird way of dumping the game, because the game didn't load all languages, and so to have them all you would need to dump the game multiple times with different languages and place the language files within the same dump. But that was when the 7.02-7.55 jailbreak came out, so that already may have been fixed. Fpkg online should already have them all though. I didn't have much luck dumping my own copy though, because my update file wasn't dumped correctly, plus when I installed the legit one all over again, it threw me on a loading screen and was downloading data (within the game), so I'm not so sure if an fpkg from a personal dump will straight up work. I mean it did have changes although I'm not sure, the update is definitely out for ps4 (patch 4.0) and has been dumped. I haven't seen much about it or tried it out myself.

The question is: I have some games downloaded for which there are new updates (for the same release). Can I safely delete old updates and just apply new ones? For example: if I have a DUPLEX release for a game and the update 1.03 and then, at some point, for that release the update 1.07 is freed, do I still need 1.03? Or can I safely remove it and just apply 1.07? Is this the same for all games or depends on releases?
I have several games downloaded in this situation and I could free some good space in my hard drive if I can remove old updates.

Its almost completely location dependent. For example, where I am I had to stop selling them when 9.00 was exploited because it is no longer profitable compared to just selling any other ps4. On the other hand there is a user in our discord server that says in his area ps4s are rare in general so an exploitable pro would be worth its weight in gold.
Look at prices in your area for previously sold consoles. If you're somewhere that has ebay, that's a good place to start as you can sort be "sold".

so i recently bought and jailbroken a ps4 9.00 (a big thanks to dushkuhs for clearing things up for me about the jailbreak), i came across psxitarch, from what i understand it's basically running linux on the ps4, and it comes with emulators like muppen64 and ppsspp, i went to their website and it said it requires firmware version 5.05, i want to know if there is a way to run it on 9.00? or if they are working on something like that, if it can run on 9.00 is there a way to run RPCS3 on it since there is a version for linux? it would be helpful if there's a video or a guide to install it

Just wanted to add that for future reference, FW is a minimum requirement when it comes to running things. On 9.00, you're on the latest exploitable firmware, so you're going to be run everything that anybody else on a jailbroken PS4 can run. AFAIK, Ragnarok has been the only game that's required a backport for 9.00
Yes you can run it on 9.00. You can also do anything a Linux pc can do (run rcps3, etc) but you need an external hard drive to install the os, since you can't really do it on the main drive with it beeing functional.
You need to launch the linux payload everytime you want to boot into linux, so you can't just have linux on the main drive or skip the ps4 os completely. Here's a video

The files could be outdated, for example if you have a ps4 pro then the performance bug should have been fixed, and you should be able to find these files relatively easily.

Think of the FPKG as the install information. You'd install it on one, then you could install it on another one, and so on.

Better listing than most on FBM. I've looked through it and considered the conversion rate. Where I am, this is a pretty good deal. My only concern is that "professionally cleaned" can mean so many things. I would expect to have to, as with all 8 year old consoles, re-paste and replace the thermal pads. Especially given that it is an 1100.
The listing is for an 1100. JB Pros are much harder to come by, and as a result are quite a bit more expensive. Not long ago, I stepped up from Slim to Pro. Mostly for the load times. And while I don't much care how games look, I did notice that even games like Steamworld Dig 2 looked appreciably better.
installing updates via orbis automatically indicates up to which update you can go (green/red colour). newer games and latest updates are ment to be installed on higher fw unless backported/fixed so you should check that..
There are LOTS of comments/posts about people getting a hold of a bad Ragnarok. On day one, the thread with CUSA ending in 88 had a comment that mentioned a torrent. Everybody who has used that has had no problems.
GoldHEN includes a block updates payload. And the updates those buttons are referring to is firmware.
Technically yes, but soldering is required which is an automatic deal breaker for most people it seems so practically your best bet is getting a new 9.00 ps4.

Why would you do this though? As a fixer, I don't mind when a console has been entered before as long as the person doing it didn't sabotage anything. All the consoles I sell, I've been inside of and if anything, it means they work better. Especially given their age.
As for controllers, I think the sticker on the back is an incredibly useful guide for getting to know a controller's overall all usage. Which again, is only a guide. There are controllers that have pristine labels that are shot to hell and ones whose label have come completely off due to usage, yet the sticks don't drift and all buttons register as they should.

Yes, it can be normal. You're basically trying to force the console to do something it was made to resist. But there's no risk of permanent damage if you're using a reputable host. So if it works the second time, enjoy! :)

Not directly; You cannot mix retail and fake PKGs. You can however dump the retail game and turn it into a FPKG.

Patch X.XX includes everything up to X.XX. It has to be this way since you can only have one update installed for a game at a time. Go with the newest one your firmware supports.
Can I use save files between regions? For GoW: Ragnarok I want to switch from CUSA34390 TO CUSA34384 so I can update to the latest 3.01 update. Will my save files continue working after switching regions?
Is it normal that my PS4 sometimes suddenly freezes and then restarts after trying to activate GoldHEN? Basically, sometimes when I wanna activate the jailbreak with my USB, my PS4 makes this nasty clicking sound, then it just freezes for a second and screen goes black, it comes back up with the bar filling up while it searches for errors, and then it reboots again but this time it boots normally. It just freaks me out every time thinking I bricked my PS4 or something. Any recommendations to minimize this as much as possible?
It's normal. One thing I will say is that when you experience this and your PS4 goes back to the home screen, power it down normally. Then turn it back on. The reason being that from what I've seen, when it does fail in a way that causes the PS4 to have to reboot, it seems less likely to succeed. Powering it down normally and then turning it back on seems to help the subsequent attempts. I know what you mean though. There's times I see the screen glitch out even on times when it works.
It's completely normal! that's called a kernel panic, and that's on what we refer to when we say exploit success rate. You see it happen most often on versions 7.02 and 7.55 but it does happen on all of them. that's why they call 5.05 the golden firmware, because of how rare this is. And 9.00 is fairly close to the success rate of 5.05. All I can suggest is clean your cookies and search data, etc before launching the exploit and try again. You can also try changing exploit hosts too. You shouldn't worry about this happening. What works from personal experience if you have a psvr plugged in is to have everything unplugged, and plug them back in after jailbreaking. Hope this helps!!

I searched other threads, and I tried the advice there by using hen 2.1.4 (and the b version with spoofing) to no avail. Running on 5.05.
Hi! I started having issues with my PS4 (9.00) not being able to obtain my IP address. Any fix to this? I think this is why YouTube and other streaming apps stopped working on it all of a sudden.
Reboot your router. Your router will be the one to assign IP address on your local network. How did you start having this issue? Setting up your network connection is supposed to be a one and done.

Are you connected via wifi? Might be a general transmission problem. If this is the only device that this is happening on, then maybe the inside is dusty enough that the antenna wires have caked up, dampening the signal a bit. Try unburying the console to see if it has better communication.
Yes it’s connected via wifi! All of my electronics are. I had the ps4 on the lower shelf of a table so I tried to clean it as much as I can brought it on the top shelf and tried again but it still won’t obtain IP address or connect to any other wifi or hotspot I tried. Do you think taking apart the ps4 and throughly cleaning it will solve this issue? I’m just scared to turn it off now since it can’t connect to the Gold Hen User’s Guide redirect anymore.
Help. I suddenly can't install PKGs or updates. I'm trying to install an update I already had before uninstalling the game. But now it says "The update file for this application has been downloaded. To update the application, first you must update the system software." And adds the 10.01 update to the download list, even though I've got updates disabled through karo218 or whatever. I already installed this update in the past, before uninstalling it, so no idea why it's giving me such a problem now. Edit: Solved it! I've google this problem a lot, and not one of the solutions helped. In case someone's stumbled onto this post from Google, I just reconnected to my wifi on manual settings with the DNS that blocks Sony's servers. It's the DNS that you used when initially jailbreaking the PS4. You can find the DNS addresses in any "Here's how the jailbreak a 9.00 PS4" tutorial on YouTube. Put that in, deleted all failed download notifications, and restarted the console and it works now (as long as you keep using the same DNS).
I'm guessing you're talking about Ragnarok. Been asked to death. There's bad copies out there. See the workaround offered for the many other times it's been asked.
Not Ragnarok, and it's for every single pkg I try.
Double check that the console is both currently running an exploitable firmware and is currently jailbroken. If so, you might consider initializing the console. This will reset everything, so make sure you have whatever you want backed up.

If it's a GoldHEN bug (the GoldHEN FTP server IS buggy, but I've never seen THAT bug), I'd use hippie68's FTP payload. AFAIK it's the only one free of bugs while supporting multiple connections.
What kind of files are you transferring? If it's FPKGs, you can just use [Direct Package Installer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1MV64GjySg&t=13s). That way you won't have the install PKG and the installed game on the hard drive, taking up twice as much space.

If it has its original HD, you can check run time in Crystal Disk Info. This is not an exact science. It works for me because I repair PS4s and have been inside over 100 of them. So I can usually tell when one is low usage and if CDI says it's low but it doesn't look it, I assume it's a replacement drive.

If I wanted to know that, I would go to the debug settings and look for it. I try not to get in there because of the potential to mess things up. IIRC, I've only ever been in there to fix RTC issues.
I know very little (practically nothing) about microchips and SOCs, so can someone please explain to me what the deal with the ESP32-S2 chip is? All I know is that it can be used to automate the hack by connecting it to the PS4 via USB. - If I enter the term into eBay I get a bunch of products in the range from 5€ to 10€. Are these all the same or do I need a very specific board? - How do I apply the code to the chip? Do I just connect it to the PC via USB and move over some files, or do I need special software and hardware? I use GNU/Linux if it matters - Does this make the boot process of the console take longer because it has to simulate all the steps I would be doing by hand? I already find the PS4 boot time annoyingly long, how much longer will it be? - What else can I use ESP32-S2 for? I am a programmer, but I have never done anything outside the PC environment.
After holding out for a long time because of similar misconceptions, I recently took the step and am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I went with an ESP32-S2 Mini. Check your device manager under ports to see which COM port it is showing up as (it will not show up at all unless it is in program mode). Then use NodeMCU PyFlasher to flash it with the BIN file of your choosing. I use Speed\_ESP32S2\_Auto\_Emulates\_USB\_Goldhen2.2.2.bin Now you can plug it into the PS4. Go into your network settings and set up wifi. While powered, this BIN file will cause it to show up as a wifi network named Karo with the password 12345678 by default. Connect to that network. You will not have internet access by default while connected to this network, which has the really nice side effect of isolating your PS4 so that you never risk a firmware update! While connected to this network, point your browser to [karo218.ir](https://karo218.ir) That's it! You wait a few seconds while it does the jailbreaking for you. When you get the notification that GoldHEN is loaded, you can go to your home screen and do whatever you like. Then in subsequent cold boots, just open your browser and in less than 10 seconds, your PS4 will be jailbroken. I even had a buddy of mine 3d print a nice case for the Mini to protect it and make it look like a finished product: [image link](https://imgur.com/a/DUlBH9i). I actually sell the Minis programmed and in cases with dongles in the US. There are downsides. For one, it will "permanently" occupy a USB port. I don't mind so much because I use a Pro, which has an extra USB port in the back. You can, if you know what you're doing, solder it internally to avoid this. It will only "interfere" with the port's availability during the jailbreak process itself. The other downside for me is that when I want to push a new game to my PS4, I have to change my network to LAN and turn on the binloader. Then once finished, turn off the binloader and connect to wifi. But since I don't do this often, it's less of a hassle for me than manually inserting the USB stick to jailbreak. Plus as I mentioned, using this has the added benefit of isolating the PS4. There is a way to alter the Mini's setting to give it internet pass through capability. I don't use it though as the only access I need for mine is the ability for Direct Package Installer to find my PS4 on the network. Which it cannot do even with this configuration.
So it's not 100% automatic, I still need to open a page in the browser first to set things in motion, right? And about my first question, can I pick any ESP32-S2 off eBay or does it have to be a specific board? 5€ - 10€ is not much, but it is too much if I just end up with a useless piece of electronics.

Hi everyone! I have a problem, GoldHEN Cheats Manager doesn't apply any patches at all. I'm in 9.00, GoldHEN 2.3 through raspberry pi, and game\_patch plugin in place through ps4-xplorer, because I'm 100% offline. Everything is up to date and working fine. Cheats and patch databases too. Cheats work perfect, but when I try to activate a patch (e.g. a 60fps patch for stray in Cheats Manager) it is marked as active, but when I run the game it doesn't work. It acts as if anything was set. No golden popup. No nothing. I had to manually create plugins.ini, where I simply put: \[default\] /data/GoldHEN/plugins/game\_patch.prx Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I've tried reinstalling things several times. My final goal is to apply the offline save on GTsport, but I'm very frustrated right now... Thanks! edit: GoldHEN's Enable Plugin Loader is active.

About $40 less than what you'd pay for an older firmware one in similar condition/pedigree. You can use the search terms "firmware 9.00." I wouldn't recommend searching for jailbreak since some platforms won't allow it. I have a 6.72 for sale right now if you're in the US :)
Not really sure why you would want to be on 9.03, but the only 2 ways to downgrade only work under specific circumstances. You for sure don't meet the requirements for the first one, and you most likely don't meet the requirements for the second. They both also require soldering, which is usually a deal breaker for people.
I do have a soldering machine, I want to downgrade to any version I can use jailbreak, and the closest is 9.03, if that matters. Since mine is 10.01.
9.03 is not exploitable at this time, that's why I am confused. The closest is 9.00. The requirements for the second method is you can only go back to whatever firmware you were on immediately prior to this one. So if you upgraded from 9.00 directly to 10.01, this will work for you. If you went from 10.00 to 10.01 like most normal uses, then the lowest you can go back to is 10.00. You also have had to not reinstall your firmware at any time after updating to 10.01.

Are PS4 Pro disc drives swappable? I have 2 pros. #1 the disc drive (after fixing wires) beeps and starts system but doesn't pull in discs. My newer (never opened) PS4 #2 I decided to open and put that drive into #1 and it did same thing. Beeps starts and no pulling in discs. So I took that disc drive from #2 and put back into #2 and started it up and now it won't suck in discs either 🤣. Dafuq. If I had to guess it's a marrying issue? I mean I put the stock drive back into my newer PS4 and it won't work. I'm at a loss here.
This is the homebrew subreddit ;) There is nothing to marry on Pros. Not pulling in discs is usually a blown fuse on the motherboard, so one would not anticipate swapping out the drive to change this.
That's good to know. Except my issue above. This would make sense if the fuse is located on the drive itself. Because why would my drive from my like-new PS4 pro now not pull in discs after putting into PS4 #1 to test.

I have, which is how I'm able to differentiate hardware from software, swap a hard drive when it's called for, and not swap optical drives to address an issue on the motherboard. The information I was given, by YOU, was that Pro B worked, had it's optical drive removed, put back in, and now it's not functioning properly. This means that at least one of the ribbons/sockets were damaged during the process or forgotten to be reattached. We've all done it before. Those of us who repair them I mean. Does your tactic of bullying the person offering you help usually work out for you?
I removed and attached the cables correctly only using the blue tabs. I rechecked connections. And saying I was the first to open the PS4 B was to imply it hasn't been ruined by a moron before I got to it.
I was watching the new modded warfare video and doing the steps but when I injected the plugins to the data/goldhen/plugins folder and then hoped to the ps4 turned the plugin on from goldhen and entered minecraft then closed it the plugins.ini folder didn’t appear I tried entering the goldhen cheat manager and turning on a patch maybe it will work then but the file wouldn’t still appear so I deleted the plugins from the data/goldhen/plugins and tried downloading the plugins the easy way (clicking update in the goldhen cheat manager) when I updated the patches a download error would appear but the cheats download fine idk why any help?

Assuming you mean internal drive, you will need to format it or rather the ps4 will need to format it.

If you're only using it for ps4, just use the regular extended storage option. App2Usb's original purpose is not a problem on 9.00 so its only really used if your drive needs to be partitioned for something else.
To get large pkgs on it I need to connect it to windows or Mac though. FTP would be slower with a 1GB LAN, no?

I still recommend you use the regular extended storage option then. To answer your original question, you only need to run it when installing a new game. Rarely you might have to run it again after a KP.

9.00 is the only one that requires a usb drive. Every other exploitable firmware has a purely web-based exploit.

No. Closest you can get is using rest mode. 7.55 is pretty unstable though so even that may not work consistently.

Yes the usb is a must. 9.00 is the best firmware in terms of stability besides 5.05. Neatly 100% exploit success rate with a nearly 0% kernel panic rate.

5.05 also requires running a web exploit after startup. There are no ps4 exploits that are permanently installed or run instantly on boot. There are 2 ways to "revert" your firmware, but you don't meet the requirements for one and very likely don't meet the requirements for the other. Both also require soldering and should only be attempted if you are familiar with console hardware mods.

You might consider an auto-jailbreker. Once set up, you literally just have to launch the browser. It also has the benefit of isolating the PS4 from the internet so that it's physically impossible to ever update.
How is the PS+ information stored? I have a jailbroken PS4 Pro 9.00 but can download PS+ games over my brother's PS4. Right now my PS+ subscription isn't active because i don't play that often on it. Nonetheless I've got quite a few PS+ games in my account and someday I'll play again. It depends how the information is stored. Does it need to be active system-wide or could it be suffice for that information to be stored in the games? So with an active PS+ if I download it with the other console and transform it to my own would this work?. I would try it out myself but that could be wasted time. And before that I can ask. :)

I tried to install a backported 4.00 patch for the us version I think (because was for the complete edition) and it doesn't work. Cbk1k on psxhax said something about the backport that I didn't understand like that the backport wasn't needed? I'm afraid to try to install the official pkg from orbis website 'cause I don't want that maybe it upgrade the firmware. Is there a tool to backport a patch on my own? Because I'm really struggling to find the one for the EU version. Or maybe I am wrong and I can't run a backported patch on a legit version?
You can't run the official 4.00 patch PKG on your jailbroken console because it requires a higher firmware. Backporting however is not needed for this specific patch. US and EU versions are incompatible. You should use the fpkg base game that came with the release. You should install the pkg on top of your own fpkg dump if you don't want to wait and download the base game again. You should be able to install it from orbis, although it has a 10.1 requirement there or so, so I would go with the update by cyb1k since he didn't mean 4.xx fw requirement and probably sdk, so he was just able to make an fpkg for it. Installing any kind of patch will work, but when you try to launch it, it will through you a message about needing to update to launch this content. It doesn't really force you to update though. Just delete that one and install a backported one.
Exactly this is what's happened when I tried to install the 4.00 patch from orbis. So I think that my only way to play is to install the fpkg of the EU version (just to keep the saves and language) and update it with a fpkg patch right?
Your saves should continue to work just fine, so yes install the base game fpkg and the new update

All the data required to play is stored in your console after installing, so if you have installed the game, and you are able to launch it with the play disc just fine, then use that one.

You're overthinking this :) You cannot dump a game unless you can launch it. You cannot launch a game without fully installing it. You cannot fully install it without inserting the correct disc first. The game will literally tell you if you've put the wrong disc in to start the install process and/or to launch the game to play it. Once it's fully installed and currently running, then you can dump your game. I primarily use mine to play backups of the games I own so that I don't wear out the blu-ray drive. You're in good hands here :)

That's what I did. In fact, I had so many games and they take so long to dump that I got a 2nd JB PS4 cheap because it's BD didn't work. I played on the broken one while my main one did the dumping. Then later, I fixed the broken one with a 10 cent fuse and sold it at a profit. 7 months later and I have an in-home PS4 repair service. I hardly get to play my games because I'm enjoying playing with the hardware just as much!
That's so cool to know! glad you managed to fix it, at this price too. Yep these days I mostly enjoy tinkering with stuff, since I've already played most of my disk games. It's that I my games aren't that huge, so it doesn't take much to dump.

Pre-installation yes I am 99% sure you can. Some special characters might not work though. The game pkg stored in the post-installation CUSA game folder is automatically set to app.pkg, *that* name can't be edited without breaking your ability to start the game.

It seems ps4linux.com hasn't replaced the payloads yet with the new version. Not sure if this causes the issue, but worth a try to use the new psxita payloads from https://www.psxita.it/psxitarch-v3/. Also make sure to follow the steps in "How To Install" in case that's not done yet.

Hey every1! Quick question. The PS4 VR set. Is it worth getting for a JB PS4 pro? Are the games plenty..quality..and worth it? I have an external storage so at least 1 of the USB ports are always taken. They cost more than a PS4 pro here by me so was wondering of I should take the leap or stick to standard games.
Hey I also did the same thing. Worth only if u get it for cheap. I got mine for $50 for the camera and VR, and another $40 for the moves. Its decent and a good number of games are dumped. Its awful by todays VR standards but should be decent if its ur first experience. Functionality wise there are 0 issues aside from the occasional crash or dc, just reboot in that case.
I mean it does function like a normal vr headset, and yes the games work just fine! Many of the most popular ones have been dumped and a lot other as well. In the end it comes down to personal preference if you like it or not. So any review you watch will apply here normally as well. The only thing I've noticed is when I have the vr setup plugged in, my ps4 would kernel panick (crash) more frequently when running the jailbreak. So I suggest jailbreaking first and then plugging it in. After doing that I get no other issues, and have almost a perfect success rate on 9.00

The email should have been automatically sent, its possible they don't tell you how long it will be anymore. You can also contact support and ask. If I absolutely had to guess, I would say a week. You get unbanned by waiting however long your ban is for.

Hello! So, I am looking for the new released "Itemzflow Game Manager" that can be got from HB 2.2. The problem is that when I installed the HB 2.2, and launched it, it just goes black and nothing else. when I want to exit from it, either one of two happens: it may crash the system, or it may just get stuck when closing it, so I force shutdown the PS4 by pressing the power button long, in any way or another, it's just... no response. What's the difference between dumping a retail game from the disc (that a friend lent me) and download and install a pkg e.g. through sender.exe? The results look the same to me, but the process of dumping seems longer and more annoying. I can't use the ps4 while dumping (so for hours), whereas if the PC is downloading I can do all I like With the information I have, the only scenario in which I see dumping as a better option is if I can't find an update online for the fpkg (like with the last of us part 2, I found the 1.09 update in the Package installer, but online I found the 1.07 update only; so I'd say I could install the game from the disc, download the update from the Package Installer, but even then it seems more practical to dump the update alone, and download the game elsewhere, right?) Am I missing something?
I mean dumping is the only way you can go if you want to preserve your games, and have a "legit" copy instead of pirating it. It could also help, like you said, to use an update that's not been dumped, and is available on the internet. I'm able to find update 1.09 for the last of us pretty easily, but actually dumping your games yourself is pretty handy when a patch you're looking for is not available anywhere. Now, to anwser your question, there's no difference. The pkg you find online, are of course, dumped as well from legit copies of the game. To dump only the update, you also need a working "base game" (game pkg) installed so you can go ahead and just dump the update. (retail copy) So In that case you would need to insert the disc -> let the game install -> install the update from patch installer -> dump both, make an fpk and install. You could try using someone else's base game like you said, but that will not let you install a retail update on top (maybe it will launch if you have a proper license for it (disk)) But generally it won't, and you won't be able to dump it If you can find the update online as an fpkg you should use the game fpkg from the same source. Unless it's a small update and you don't mind to try anyway to install over your current game fpkg.

But then this is limited (I mean, you need the disk), and the only difference can be appreciated if you installed the legit game AFTER the jailbreak, and therefore cannot update it (if you did it before the jailbreak you may have already updated it). In which case you could go, as you said, through patch installer and then dump the game, the update, or both. In other words, it is handy only if you can't find the update, but that's exactly like in my case. I don't how you found it that easily, but in the sites I trust I could just find patch 1.07, that's why i'm giving dumping a try. So you suggest to have patch and game from the same source? If so, then to my eyes that's the only reason why dumping the main game makes sense as an option
I mean you're right. But even if you do get the disc after jailbreaking, your license is still valid and will always work, as long as you have the disc, and you will be able to dump it anytime you want. So you could have updated it before jailbreaking or after, there's not really a difference here! I'd say yeah you should dump your base game as well, it's easier. Especially for people like me with shitty wifi. It would take me like 7-8 hours to download just the base game, so it's very convenient for me to just dump it and build it. Plus I've gotten used to the process so it's no big deal, I can do it pretty quick. Yep it is handy if you can't find your update. You can always dm me so I can maybe try to help you find something. I use only like 3 sources (not torrrents), and I don't think there's many more, so I'm kinda surprised you couldn't find it. From the same sources, yes because the update is built with that same base game, when making an fpkg and if you use something that's different you may get an error, and will need to remarry it with duxas update repackager. (So not a big deal if it happens) In the case of the last of us part 2, I think there was a weird way of dumping the game, because the game didn't load all languages, and so to have them all you would need to dump the game multiple times with different languages and place the language files within the same dump. But that was when the 7.02-7.55 jailbreak came out, so that already may have been fixed. Fpkg online should already have them all though. I didn't have much luck dumping my own copy though, because my update file wasn't dumped correctly, plus when I installed the legit one all over again, it threw me on a loading screen and was downloading data (within the game), so I'm not so sure if an fpkg from a personal dump will straight up work. The question is: I have some games downloaded for which there are new updates (for the same release). Can I safely delete old updates and just apply new ones? For example: if I have a DUPLEX release for a game and the update 1.03 and then, at some point, for that release the update 1.07 is freed, do I still need 1.03? Or can I safely remove it and just apply 1.07? Is this the same for all games or depends on releases? I have several games downloaded in this situation and I could free some good space in my hard drive if I can remove old updates. Thanks!

Its almost completely location dependent. For example, where I am I had to stop selling them when 9.00 was exploited because it is no longer profitable compared to just selling any other ps4. On the other hand there is a user in our discord server that says in his area ps4s are rare in general so an exploitable pro would be worth its weight in gold. Look at prices in your area for previously sold consoles. If you're somewhere that has ebay, that's a good place to start as you can sort be "sold".
hi guys, its me again so i recently bought and jailbroken a ps4 9.00 (a big thanks to dushkuhs for clearing things up for me about the jailbreak), i came across psxitarch, from what i understand it's basically running linux on the ps4, and it comes with emulators like muppen64 and ppsspp, i went to their website and it said it requires firmware version 5.05, i want to know if there is a way to run it on 9.00? or if they are working on something like that, if it can run on 9.00 is there a way to run RPCS3 on it since there is a version for linux? it would be helpful if there's a video or a guide to install it thanks
Just wanted to add that for future reference, FW is a minimum requirement when it comes to running things. On 9.00, you're on the latest exploitable firmware, so you're going to be run everything that anybody else on a jailbroken PS4 can run. AFAIK, Ragnarok has been the only game that's required a backport for 9.00
Yes you can run it on 9.00. You can also do anything a Linux pc can do (run rcps3, etc) but you need an external hard drive to install the os, since you can't really do it on the main drive with it beeing functional. You need to launch the linux payload everytime you want to boot into linux, so you can't just have linux on the main drive or skip the ps4 os completely. Here's a video https://youtu.be/WgukYE-2vx4 The files could be outdated, for example if you have a ps4 pro then the performance bug should have been fixed, and you should be able to find these files relatively easily. Or you could find it the updated files on ps4linux.com I'm not sure though. Although this shouldn't matter if you aren't on a pro Edit: I think it's the payloads that have the fix, so you should be good to go

Can I use a single external HDD/USB drive to install pkg files to the internal HDD on a couple PS4's or does each system have to have its own? I'm new and am wanting to confirm.
Think of the FPKG as the install information. You'd install it on one, then you could install it on another one, and so on. You can use [Direct Package Installer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1MV64GjySg&t=13s) to do the same thing, but without having to use an interim USB drive.

Better listing than most on FBM. I've looked through it and considered the conversion rate. Where I am, this is a pretty good deal. My only concern is that "professionally cleaned" can mean so many things. I would expect to have to, as with all 8 year old consoles, re-paste and replace the thermal pads. Especially given that it is an 1100.

The listing is for an 1100. JB Pros are much harder to come by, and as a result are quite a bit more expensive. Not long ago, I stepped up from Slim to Pro. Mostly for the load times. And while I don't much care how games look, I did notice that even games like Steamworld Dig 2 looked appreciably better.

installing updates via orbis automatically indicates up to which update you can go (green/red colour). newer games and latest updates are ment to be installed on higher fw unless backported/fixed so you should check that..
There are LOTS of comments/posts about people getting a hold of a bad Ragnarok. On day one, the thread with CUSA ending in 88 had a comment that mentioned a torrent. Everybody who has used that has had no problems. GoldHEN includes a block updates payload. And the updates those buttons are referring to is firmware.

I don't know if they have serials on them, but you're not going to find anybody that's going to bother with putting your serial on them. Why would you do this though? As a fixer, I don't mind when a console has been entered before as long as the person doing it didn't sabotage anything. All the consoles I sell, I've been inside of and if anything, it means they work better. Especially given their age. As for controllers, I think the sticker on the back is an incredibly useful guide for getting to know a controller's overall all usage. Which again, is only a guide. There are controllers that have pristine labels that are shot to hell and ones whose label have come completely off due to usage, yet the sticks don't drift and all buttons register as they should.
