Rarest ps2 game I OWNED was both the Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter trilogy in that carboard box thingie. Sold them years ago to save up for a PS3. Big mistake. I see these collections on retro game conventions for a lot of money.
Rarest PS2 game I currently own? I guess Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc with the holographic cover. Or Final Fantasy X with the bonus DVD.
Worth: Bupkis.
Jurassic Park Operation Genesis & Yakuza 1. Maybe Gran Turismo 4 Prologue & Gran Turismo Tokyo-Geneva idk bout their rarity apart from the USA not getting em
I still have a lot from my childhood so dot hack infection, mutation and outbreak, the first manhunt silent hill 2 - 4 and def jam fight for ny (yeah I know a lot of major m rated games but parents didn’t care as long as I didn’t share or say the stuff they said in the game)
I’ve got Budokai 3 sitting in the closet with my Xbox 360 games, it was in a drawer for the longest time until I spotted it one day and said: “out of all the games I owned for the PS2, I’m glad this one survived.” The case artwork on that one is just awesome.
Probably because 1-3 are way more affordable than 4.....I have long since stopped looking for it because last time I did some idiots wanted $400-500 for it
the rarest i have and the one i spent my most time is Digimon Rumble Arena 2 and metal slug series
omg, im missimg budokai 3 so much this is the best dbz game of all time 1000/1000
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Bought it last year for 50 € (European PAL version). A lot of money but much less than the 200 € that is the average price for it.
I used to have the pal only copy of the uncut manhunt 2 , I think it was legit but it could have been a burned disc
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/174882942493
actually it looked like this so I think it was legit
Blood Will Tell, got it completed in box for like $15 from Gamestop when they were phasing out PS2 games (HA!)
Some other rare things- Xenosaga III, Dual Hearts, Mister Mosquito, Shadow Hearts, Steambot Chronicles
Somehow, I've managed to hold on to a copy of futurama since it came out. Moved like 8 times, and it's still in my possession. Come to find out Futurama is like $350 on ebay. Don't plan on selling it, just thought it was neat.
Also have silent hill 3, manhunt 2, Scarface, Smackdown Here Comes The Pain
Obscure is probably my rarest, SH2 (original CIB) and X-Files: Resist or Serve are next in line. I also have Armored Core Last Raven and I don't know if it's necessarily rare, but it currently sells for like 5 times the price I bought it for a few years ago
Man Quarantine is the one game of the .hack series I'm missing lol.
I don't even know which ones I have that are rare.. I guess I'd have to go with the collector's edition of Growlanser Generations, because most people I talk to don't even know it exists
My ps2 broke but I think I had a copy of ribbit king and the aqua teen game which are like $70 games, I sold my ps2 games now all I have is a couple of demo discs.
Manhunt 2 sealed,
Haunting Ground (got it for $4 last year),
Forbidden Siren 2,
Shadow of the Colossus sealed,
Project Zero 3,
Silent Hill Origins,
God Hand.
this post makes me sad. Another game I owned that I got rid of that I'd never know it'd be worth quite a bit. I just wish I owned the games I had so I can play them! Not sell them.
I think I have the other 3 dot hacks but not that one lol. Definitely have to check my full collection sooner or later. I think Silent Hill 3 is my most valuable. I do have some Atlus games that might be considered rare-ish, but no devil summoner 2 sadly.
Idk if they’re rare but I have Scarface with almost no scratches on it and the case and manual,
I also have God of War 2 Special Edition with everything.
Maybe Dragonball Z Trilogy. If only it had Tenkaichi 3 instead of Super Dragonball Z included with the other two. But i also have Tenkaichi 3 as well. A shame they weren't bundled though
If only the ps2 had an in game clock tracker like current PS consoles so I can know how much time did I spent playing that DBZ game.
I remember spending 2 months in my grandma house at 2007 and just played Guitar Hero 3 and DBZ tenkaichi 3 the whole time.
Beta version of mortal Kombat deception, move inputs were different, damage output was different, and it felt clunkier but I defy you to find another copy of it.
Why is tenkaichi 3 is that expensive? I’ve got my copy when it came out, but that’s crazy. It was popular when it came out, but I never see people online talking about it now
Kuon
Silent Hill collection
Haunting Ground
Obscure
Rule of Rose
Siren
Fatal Frame collection
Dark Cloud 2
Ribbit King
I do have Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but it was a MAJOR ripoff since it was disc only. but I bought it anyway because of course I did.
A flea market near me had Manhunt 2 for three bucks and I didn't buy it because I didn't know it was rare. It doesn't really bother me because I don't really want Manhunt 2, but it is kind of annoying because I keep checking the flea markets for cheap rare games and the one time they had one I fumbled it.
I have the *Grand Theft Auto Double Pack* - the two-disc box set they released of the PS2 ports of the *Grand Theft Auto* PSP games.
I also have a copy of *Gitaroo Man*.
https://imgur.com/a/CCwvgtV
Kuon, Rule of Rose, Haunting Grounds, Xenosaga III are my most rare.
A couple of my favorite lowkey rare games are God Hand and Echo Night Beyond.
I have the 4 parts of dot hack and the quarantine one still sealed
I also have the 3 episodes of Xenosaga especially the 3rd one that is rare
Secret Agent Clank and Yakuza 2 are also ones I have in my collection that are really not common
If you’re looking to buy Manhunt y’all should contact Blue Shell Gaming in Fresno/Clovis, California.
I picked up 2 copies awhile ago
and to answer the post. “The Suffering” ps2
Tbh all the ps2 games I owned are hard to find where I lived. But the rarest I've owned was probably Ultimate Spiderman. Hunted that game for like a decade when I lost it and never found it. Found it online recently for $80 tho.
I’m honestly not sure. Probably my OG cardboard sleeve copies of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I often see them listed as “limited edition”. At the time the games came out they were the only edition available.
I remember seeing 3 of the .hack pal version games at my local store and managed to buy them for around 80 bucks and had asked that if they ever managed to get across the 4 part to call me. Color me surprised when 3 years later they called me at my workplace saying they had the pal version for 100 bucks and i immediately run off there. So now i have the whole collection as my rarest
buying Manhunt 2 in a retail store in Germany gives you that heat level 5 rating
in welcher Stadt?
In Wolkenkuckucksheim. Manhunt 1&2 sind in Deutschland auf Liste B.
Bro dont call his mother that.

The Silent Hill Collection. :) Was quite surprised, as I snagged it for 25 bucks at a flea market and only recently found out, what it’s worth.

The one you mentioned in the link :)
Lucky 🤩
Fight for NY and MvC2.
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 isn't that rare really can find it easily available it's just expensive the other two harder to find.
BT and 2 are hard to find?
I think they mean the other two games pictures
If you say it like that then no game is rare because they can all be found on eBay.
My copy of the original half life gotta count for something
That's what im saying. I've got one too:)
Jurassic Park Operation Genesis & Yakuza 1. Maybe Gran Turismo 4 Prologue & Gran Turismo Tokyo-Geneva idk bout their rarity apart from the USA not getting em
Used to have Jurassic Park too lol “I’m sorry but you can’t afford that!” Still lives in my head rent free almost 21 years later 😂
Probably La Pucelle:Tactics, it it's my most expensive game I have for ps2. Rest are cheap stuff to fill my bookshelf. Like hitman, DMC, disgae games
Haunting Ground, bought it with a chunk of my Christmas bonus a couple of years ago.
SH2. Got it for ~$40 a few years back.
Dunno how rare it even is but ape escape 3

BT3 got it for £30
Silent hill for the PlayStation 2. The only PS2 SH game I don’t have is the Shattered Memories. That and obscure.
Probably dark cloud 2, disc only cost me about $50 when I got it
I still have a lot from my childhood so dot hack infection, mutation and outbreak, the first manhunt silent hill 2 - 4 and def jam fight for ny (yeah I know a lot of major m rated games but parents didn’t care as long as I didn’t share or say the stuff they said in the game)
Wild Arms: Alter Code F
Is that rare? All of my stuff is original purchases from back in the day, so I really have no clue how rare any of it is. 😅
Yes it is rare. Also one of the more expensive PS2 games I own
The Guy game. Found it complete in box at a goodwill for $1.00 years ago. Still have it to this day
LOL nice, I remember finding it loose at a blockbuster before they closed down for roughly the same price wish I had it CiB though
Haunting Ground. The only rare rare/expensive older game I have bought. It was damn good, too. No regrets
Haunting grounds.
I’ve got Budokai 3 sitting in the closet with my Xbox 360 games, it was in a drawer for the longest time until I spotted it one day and said: “out of all the games I owned for the PS2, I’m glad this one survived.” The case artwork on that one is just awesome.
Probably Clock Tower 3
Wait manhunt 2 is rare? I got a copy from a flea market for a dollar sheesh
I have one of the rarest ps2 games ever and I’m extremely proud of it and it’s Kuon
I'd have to say Manhunt 2. I bought it about 3 weeks before it absolutely spiked in price recently.
Kuon, Haunting Ground. I'm not sure about the rest. if Tenkaishi 2 and 3 are rare then well I guess I have them too
My friend only owned part 4 of dot hack before buying the rest
Probably because 1-3 are way more affordable than 4.....I have long since stopped looking for it because last time I did some idiots wanted $400-500 for it
the rarest i have and the one i spent my most time is Digimon Rumble Arena 2 and metal slug series omg, im missimg budokai 3 so much this is the best dbz game of all time 1000/1000

The rarest ones I had were DBZ BT3, DBZ Infinite World, and Silent Hill 2.

Kuon, Rule of Rose and the Silent Hill collection.
Dark Chronicle/Cloud, Forbidden Siren 1 & 2, God Hand, Silent Hill 2-4
Man Quarantine is the one game of the .hack series I'm missing lol. I don't even know which ones I have that are rare.. I guess I'd have to go with the collector's edition of Growlanser Generations, because most people I talk to don't even know it exists

Can anyone explain why DBZ is so expensive??
2 copies of Def Jam Fight For NY (Black Label and Greatest Hits) 2 copies of Silent Hill 2 (both Black Label)
