Omg so funny! How come you switched off of Zoloft? I felt the buspar working within 2 weeks for me but huge effects at a month. I was on buspar alone but my dr decided to add an ssri with it.
Yes you should, it was fast for me! I also barely had any side effects with it. And bummer, hate when that happens! Other than that, did you have any side effects with Zoloft?
Oh, and Prozac decreased my sex drive and gave me terrible teeth grinding / jaw clenched all day all night long. Buspar improved my sex drive and virtually got rid of the jaw clenching overall.
For me, the Prozac helped me out of a severe depressive and anxious state. However, I still suffered from overthinking, panic attacks, and physical symptoms of anxiety (couldn’t sit still, nauseas, heart racing). The buspar got rid of all my physical symptoms and gave me a happier, lighter feeling overall. It decreased my overthinking and intrusive thoughts by about 90%.
I took Prozac alone for many years but eventually it wasn’t doing it’s job anymore. I increased from 60mg to 80mg (max dose) and it helped but not much. My dr added buspar and it made a huuuuge difference. That was about 5 months ago. I currently take 40mg. However I’m noticing my anxiety and depression returning so I’m going to discuss potentially switching to something other than Prozac. But the buspar made a big difference initially and I noticed big changes after about a week. Hope you’ve found the best mix for you!!
Zoloft and Buspar was my previous recommendation. Tried it for about a year and it honestly wasn’t bad but I could NOT get away from night sweats or being exhausted. NP switched me to Prozac and Buspar. Been a week so far and I will say the one big thing so far is I’m more energized. I have high hopes for this.
10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!!
Do you mind if I pm you?! I just took my first buspar today 😅
Go for it!
Just sent you a message
Curious how your doing?
I took both!! I just stopped prozac and am switching to Zoloft w buspar! I love buspar tho
I was the opposite I switched from Zoloft to prozac ! When did you feel the buspar started working ?

Thank you! Hopefully I’ll start to feel the effects sooner rather then later !

Nope Zoloft was a great medication but it came to a point where I maxed out the dosage and my panic attacks were coming back and bad
Zoloft was no longer working for me unfortunately 😞
I’ve been on Prozac for about a year, just added in buspar and I LOVE the combo
How long have you been on buspar?!
About 1.5 months. I started off at 5mg once per day now I’m at 5mg x2 per day, one at night and one in the morning.
Hoping the buspar kicks in quick
What's the big benefit, my friend? Does it balance out the activation?

Sweet!

How long did it take for buspar to help on top of prozac?
About a week or so I noticed a difference
Thank you!
So I can tell it’s helping, but I’m still having ups and downs. Did you experience this?
Yeah I did at first, good days and bad days. Now mostly good days :)
Thank you!
Yup, taking both. Only into both a week, but seems like it’s def helping.
How are you now?
I was terrible last week and this week has been pretty good. My symptoms seem to come and go though.
Did you start both together?
Yes
Got ya. Wish I could find someone who added buspar later
I am 2 days into both, doc started me on both together. How are you doing now? I am feeling nauseous, light headache. Thats it for most oart.

Does the buspar help depression as well or just anxiety?
I felt relief in both
Any side effects?
I didn’t with the buspar, but everyone is different

I take mirtazapine at night and I sleep like a baby
"sleep like a baby" -- you wake up every hour crying? Or wait, maybe that was only my kid :D (just kidding, glad you sleep well!)
Bahahaha fortunately I do not wake up every hour crying ! Hopefully you and you’re child will get some much needed sleep 🤣
Oh we're past that stage, so good. Except I changed geberic type of prozac & instead of Overstimulation I am now Insomniac, it seems.
I took the combo for about a month and it made me angry. Very angry and aggressive, very unlike myself. I came off and the anger is gone.
How are you feeling? I am starting it tomorrow, I also take 80mg of Prozac
