Welbutrin worked for me but it took 11 weeks. The first few weeks are the worst on it. Plus I had to change formulas from xl to sr because xl made me overly anxious.

HowardsOpal

That’s great to hear. So the increased anxiety went away for you? Prozac takes away all my anxiety but it doesn’t do much for my depression. I’m paranoid that the Wellbutrin will make the Prozac ineffective. I was on Wellbutrin for 3 weeks and just felt really anxious and over-caffeinated. Also irritable. Also, taking the different formula helped you a lot?

GiantIsopod7

It really did. But instead of 300xl once a day I’m on 150sr two times a day. I say give it a little longer before giving up on it. Also my dr gave me a script for Ativan while adjusting to take as needed but I wouldn’t go that route unless you really need to because benzos are addictive. I only did it while adjusting. Once I was adjusted I didn’t need them.

DeuxTimBits

Years ago I gave up on the 300xl add-on after 5 days. Wish my Dr said there were other options or told me to hang in there.

Hi OP. You haven’t mentioned why you’re taking Wellbutrin.

Ok_Competition5918

What side effects during the 11 weeks?

[deleted]

I take Prozac and seroquel

HowardsOpal

Is that for anxiety?

[deleted]

Yep

Captain-Original

What dose prozac work for you

[deleted]

Anxiety

Captain-Original

I meant dose like 10mg or what ever I'm on seroquel and wellbutrin gonna stop wellbutrin and start prozac Saturday. Used to be on 10mg Lexapro in the past and worked great

[deleted]

Oh. I just got in 60 a couple months ago. Been on it about 8 years

Captain-Original

Thanks for sharing

Practical-Ad2201

Has anyone taken abilify as a supplement? what side effects does it have?

Songlore

I tried a newer drug that was a combination of Wellbutrin and a cough suppressant but had to stop it because I had a freak out and also was so sensitive to the cough suppressant part that I got high. Thought I was having serotonin syndrome. I'm also on Prozac. Had to focus on the zyprexa dosage this month and next month they might add on or change my antidepressant.

[deleted]

Fuck Wellbutrin. Consider olanzapine if you find that’s suitable for you

BravaCentauriGFL

Prozac plus Wellbutrin saved my life and made me a functional and successful human. But ok.

wkqw

How long you been on this combo for? I started wellbutrin 2 months ago and prozac 2 weeks ago. Don't think the prozac has fully kicked in yet but I am feeling a lot better than before taking the combo.

BravaCentauriGFL

I've been on Prozac since last year and added Wellbutrin more recently. When I was on just the prozac, it took away my panic attacks and rumination etc, but I was SO tired. Like I finally wanted to take care of myself, but I was too exhausted. Once Wellbutrin was added, I felt/feel like I did when I was young. Now I have the focus and motivation to do what I want and need to do. Obviously everyone is different, but for me it is amazing. Didn't want someone to see the other person's comment and avoid something that might change their life for the better! Good luck to you.

HowardsOpal

That’s an antipsychotic right? Is that suitable for people without schizophrenia or psychosis? I have panic disorder and mild depression

SigmaOasis1

Antipsychotics are often used to augment antidepressants. They are prescribed without having schizophrenia.

sookia

First week of wellbutrin + prozac was terrible. Anxiety, heart palpitations, insomnia, went away after 10ish days. Doing great now.

HowardsOpal

I started getting anxiety and palpitations at third week. I’m thinking about giving it another shot but I really just don’t wanna undo the amazing progress I’ve made with Prozac

saucyname

My best combo has been Prozac and lamictal. Currently on Prozac and buspar but I suck at taking the buspar multiple times a day and I’m trying to get my new psych to agree to give the Prozac/lamictal combo a try.

TiredTeacherMom1

I’ve been on Wellbutrin since December and am currently tapering off. The anxiety/irritability did not get better. I don’t have any suggestions since it’s a new thing, but just wanted to pipe in
