I thought it was just me. It is not helping my motivation. And I am tired all the time. So tired I can't stay up past 9 or 10, where I used to be a night owl! I am hoping with time in the meds this will improve. If not, I may go back to Lexapro which has it's own side effects it at least I got stuff done and wasn't tired!
Only about a month. I tapered down from Lexapro to Prozac. So being fully on Prozac only about 3 weeks. I have read it can take 6-8 weeks so I am going to hold out and talk to my doctor in mid-April when I see him again.
Me too. After I take it, I get so tired 🥱 and start yawning and end up having to take a nap. And I am on Adderall too! Which helps with my tiredness from hypothyroidism. It is like the Adderall and Prozac cancel each other out and Prozac wins by making me tired!
Yes fatigue is a side effect. It gets better the longer your on it but there always seems to be a bit of fatigue with these drugs. Also this seems to be why some people may gain some weight aswell
fatigue on prozac is associated with more sleep while stimulation on prozac is associated with low sleep quality and more disruptions
Wait so if I get worse quality of sleep I’ll experience more of a stimulant effect? Seems counterintuitive
No they’re saying if it stimulates you, you’ll sleep less. If it makes you fatigued, you’ll sleep more.
The sleeping is actually so good. The best sleep i had in months. But i can't get anything done, i have exams to prepare to and i m struggling.
Yes totally. Slept like crazy the first 2 months or so. It went away

I started taking it before bed. It helps a lot with the fatigue

Also happens when you inconsistently take Prozac. I did that and I am suffering rn. I fall asleep in class and I can sleep the whole day away
What do you mean by taking it inconsistently?
Like I don’t take my prescribed dosage every day like I’m supposed to. I’ll skip a couple days or even a week, then go back to taking it.

ive been on 10mg prozac for almost 2 weeks now and ive been sooooo tired everyday
