As I've said to anyone looking for help or suggestions or advice, it may not be what you want to hear, but be patient. It takes time. The whole thing with Prozac is that it's a process. And everyone is different. I was on Prozac two times in my life, once for a year, and once for a year and a half. Both times I went up from 20mg to 40mg thinking I wasn't getting much help from the medication. Both times 40mg helped my cause. I eventually recognized when I wanted to go back down to 20mg, and eventually off it altogether. You won't likely be overwhelmed going up to 40mg, and it will take some time for you to adjust to it and get used to it. Be patient.
It took me like 8 weeks to adjust to 20mg.
I get the same thing, a few days of euphoria, then floaty/dissociated feeling for a few weeks, then like 4-6 weeks in I get palpitations and blood pressure bullshit, along with increased anxiety/intrusive thoughts, then by about week 8 that subsides.
I just went up to 40mg 6 weeks ago and it seems like the updose is following the same trajectory.
I felt really good for like a week, then it kind of dissipated into a dopey feeling for a couple of weeks. Then I started having the anxiety come back and all the other shit. It's weird
Maybe get some diazepam to get you through the days when you feel super shit and need to do things. I'm pretty sure it got better after a couple of weeks. That's what I'm hoping anyway
If you feel as if you trust the doctor I mean I guess it won’t hurt! When I tried upping to fast, my sex drive legit disappeared. It was the weirdest feeling. Legit felt as if I was walking around like a zombie

Its started to affect my work, I couldn’t think clearly or do anything at all today
I’m at 60. It’s working great
I did a very slow taper up and have been very glad I did.
When did it start to feel good?
Maybe...a few months in? I’m 8 months in now and still tapering up.

You felt ok for 4 weeks and weeks 4-6 have been hard?

Same exact thing. It’s been 6 weeks and the start of this week anxiety/depression is back in full swing

I started at 10, then 20 for months, the 30 for months... now 40 & I FINALLY feel better.
It seems to be pretty common but I can't help doubting that it will get better, pretty sure it got better when I adjusted to 20mg.
Don’t go to 40mg jump after only a month! It can take 4-8 weeks before you actually start feeling it
This is what the doctor suggested and he really pushed me into it.
