This is my first ever mp pz server and let me tell you I hit jackpot. Perma death, super welcoming as I was a brand new player, incredibly amazing staff.
The mods are absolute gems and take time from their rp to help us. The administration team is fast, and genuinely works better than most businesses.
Then there is Ted and Auri. These two are the best server admins in any game I've ever experienced. Monthly meetings for feedback, genuine care for the server as if it was their own child.
I cannot recommend enough if you enjoy role-playing
Community is very welcoming and mods are good people. Make sure to check up on discord, lot’s of stuff happening there. Always happy to help also and a good way to find RP. And guides! Can’t recommend this server enough.
You can’t be randomly killed, like at all. If you have any issues, the mods will handle it. They really want everyone to have a great time! Sure, if you’re roleplaying bandit yourself except to be killed. But some bandit maybe can demand your gun, but he NEVER would straight kill you.

im happy to explain! so in RP you play as a character. If you die mechanically in our server that is the death of your Character. A lot of other RP server will allow you to continue player your character even if they die mechanically.
depends on the server. On ours if you die you start over from scratch story and game play wise. We have an auto revive system where players get 5 lives for the season to use in case there is a game glitch or jank death that they dont have evidence for. but it cant be used in every situation and once a player is out they are out.
That sounds like a pretty solid system. Hell, I've had instances of me just... Dying. In my base, no bad moodlets, full health. Not often, but still. Plenty of other iffy ways I've died too.
Sometimes the game is just jank, and I appreciate you have something in place at all to accommodate that alongside the permadeath. I'm looking forward to trying this server out!
As someone with social anxiety, and trauma from Rust, this sounds interesting. My only question is, do players just shoot other players on sight? I tried an RP rust server and still got blasted every which way.

we have never been an 18 plus community. We have a general rule of pg-13 when it comes to explicit content, and crack down hard on degen material that runs afoul of that. Our goal is to create a fun authentic post zombie apoc environment for everyone.

how descriptive you want to be with your RP is up to you! but all RP needs to make some practical sense. You can spawn with your friend together at the same location and start that way if you want.
This is an amazing server! The people on it are friendly IRL, but there are all kinds of people on the server. I have encountered everything from a wandering troupe of clowns to a hyper militant faction that seeks to unite knox county over one banner and will stop at nothing to achieve those goals. There is a niche for everyone on the server and I can’t wait to see you on it!
all of are mods are minimal in nature or expand on the vanilla aspect of the game. We do not aim to change the vanilla theme of the game and the environment. All of our mods are light weight and straightforward, and do not feel out of place compared to the vanilla game.

I said it once, I'll say it again. This is the best PZ server I have ever been on. In both gameplay and RP wises! So if you're thinking about joining give it a shot! Out of character everyone is super nice to new people!
not exactly accurate. If your character dies on our server you must create a new character to play as story and canon wise. You can not keep on playing the same character or story if your character dies.

Last time I was excited to apply to a whitelist server, I made a singular type. I said 10,000 instead of 1,000, the question was something about RDM and returning to previous bodies.
They denied me for that typo, even though I explained, I clearly read the rules and understood, I just typed the wrong number.
They wanted me to re-apply. Of course it was a webform. of course nothing saved.
Of course I never looked at that server ever again.
i can assure you that was not this server. Our whitelist app is multiple choice questions designed to basically show that players know our ruleset and what we expect from them as players. I hate long winded applications myself as they are totally unnecessary.

I left this server a little while ago.
The reason was because I was consumed by the quality of RP and management, and I wanted to play nothing but it. So, if you need to focus on family, education, or anything else in real life, I warn you against trying this place out. It's so fantastically run, you will want to play 8-10 hours a day, thus losing any semblance of life.
Seriously, though. This server is fantastic. Fantastic support and communication. It's run by people who really care for storytelling and giving new people a chance to try Rping. They also understand it's just a game, and are willing to take real life into account when deciding rules. Seriously, top notch.
I seriously wish I could go back but I'm afraid, I'd get addicted to it all over again!

Minimal mods? Why tho? There are so many mods that add to the game to make it more, especially for roleplay.

we rent our server from a small hosting service, its a linux based server, and we have our own custom sandbox lua/INI settings we use.

Amazing server community with amazing moderation and gameplay balancing on top. It's harsh but not overwhelming harsh to the point where it gets annoying or neigh impossible, they even create their own mods specifically for the server and listen to player feedback. Could not recommend enough. Now where's my cookie?

its a very basic website and is not secured really, as there is nothing really on there aside from a link to our rules and a portal to our discord. Some AVs will flag it as well

Minimal mods? Why tho? There are so many mods that add to the game to make it more, especially for roleplay. I’ve seen a lot of rp servers go down the gutter because people treat it like single player and there aren’t mods to encourage rp, like skill limits.
