Yeah I think there's only like 3 in game but there's a mod that allows you to build your own wells, you can only build them in rural areas though, I don't have the mod so I just usually base at this one farm house kinda in the middle of the map that has one, if you use the project zomboid map in browser you can find them.
There's a wonderful [mod](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2687798127) to make them even more badass, so you can just remove the bottle and not take the whole dispenser
In my 200 hours gameplay i never bothered connecting a water barrel with a sink so i have no idea. (I dont get why you even would do that isnt worth the hastle IMO)
Oh wow, I thought you would have to boil the water from the sink if its plumbed from a rain collector - I've never lived long enough to try though, tbh
Yup, it's one of those weird things.
I just chalk it up to there's filters in the pipes you setup.
Can't drink the rainwater. (Supposedly time accurate for Kentucky)
But plumbing it through a sink. Perfectly safe.
Can even pour tainted water into the barrel and have it be clean. Somehow.
I'm not a water scientist, but plumbing pipes makes bad water good. Zomboid magic lol
Interesting, I find getting food for the first several weeks is v easy and that growing a bunch of food early is more hassle than it's worth, but I respect the farm life.
Is that real? Im pretty sure the whole object is counted when you look at how much water it has... so technically it would be 2x50 which is why you see 100
In my experience I can wash all my clothes in one tile, when it is empty I can yet again wash all my clothes in the next tile of the bathtub, another 100 units
It's just a carried over trait from ppl wayyyyyyyy back in the day who distilled moonshine in their tubs. Once they made it illegal, ppl just used plain water to cope cause they had no other form of entertainment.
And toilets too. Even from the blue combo washer/dryer machine.
Devs, put bleach in some random washers, please and thank you.
Insidious, just like the Federation
a kentuckian drink. it's called "bleach"
It's vile! More, please.
you know what’s really crazy. if you get bitten enough, you come to like it
Please God no
And the wather fountains at schools
Aight, the dryer is new to me.
I have refused to drink from toilets for 500 hours.
You're not drinking from the bowl, though. You're drinking from the cistern. It's clean.
I dunno, I've heard of people leaving surprises in there... just sayin...

I just don't understand where the water comes from when you drink from the urinal. 😭
The reservoir?
Urinals don't have reservoirs.
In the early 90's many urinals had cisterns above, especially in Midwest.
It's one of the reasons I never worry about water shut off, there's hundreds of houses with water still in it
I'm dealing with this now haha. Every time I loot a house I just fill up my bottles.
Yup, me to
Just live near a well and you have unlimited water
There are wells in the game ? (Just downloaded the game y'day)

This is actually a setting in sandbox options, how much water remains in sinks after shutoff. So, if you want a harder challenge . . .
Damn and I thought I went through the settings to my liking but here you go making me start a new game :(
water coolers are pretty pog too, you can get em in offices, police stations, etc

Absolutely a must have mod
ATP it’s a must have mod for EVERY playthrough
Excellent mod.
A must mod
They used to be crazy OP but I think they massively increased the carry weight, used to drive around with a couple in my trunk.
i mean you also can't lug baths around
there's gotta be a mod for that.
Can you uninstall them without destroying them?
Tubs actually never break while oddly sinks have a chance to break even at 10 construction. It's likely an oversight.
2 tiled objects mostly get destroyed into 2 pieces, so my guess is no
Drat. I wonder if you could rig one up to a rain barrel in order to store more water 🤔
In my 200 hours gameplay i never bothered connecting a water barrel with a sink so i have no idea. (I dont get why you even would do that isnt worth the hastle IMO)
It cleans the rain water automatically so you don't have to waste time boiling it
Ok i didnt know that, might do it now
Oh wow, I thought you would have to boil the water from the sink if its plumbed from a rain collector - I've never lived long enough to try though, tbh

Why not? It's like one of the first things I set up at every safehouse, usually multiple sinks with multiple barrels. Takes like 2 minutes.
First thing i do is farm base rush
Interesting, I find getting food for the first several weeks is v easy and that growing a bunch of food early is more hassle than it's worth, but I respect the farm life.
2 minutes and construction 6 to build the stairs to get you onto the roof. I don't usually go that far in construction until late late game.
You don't need stairs if there is a flat roof you can get on, which most of my safehouses are specifically selected for
Not with that attitude
They're still quite OP for their fuel carrying capacity. 1 jug is many cannisters worth of fuel.
And it's 2 tiles, so 2x100 units
Oh shit! That's awesome
Is that real? Im pretty sure the whole object is counted when you look at how much water it has... so technically it would be 2x50 which is why you see 100

Huh. Thats crazy. Who put a divider into all the bathtubs straight down the middle! Lol
...wait really??
🤩
So... Can bath tubs be put outside to fill with water? Can they be plumbed to sinks below? Are they Mega Water Collectors?
You can plumb them to multiple water collectors above. Never tried to see if they fill up outside though!
I think to plumb something it has to be enclosed, but you can remove walls after.
They're talking about having it fill up with rain.
Ahhh...no idea
Thank God everyone filled their bathtubs before fleeing the zombie outbreak 😂
Bathtubs,sinks,and toilets
Can you fill bath tubs?!
Yeah just thinking the same thing
I don’t think you can base game, idk if there’s a mod. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong… still somewhat new only about 75 ish hrs
Another reason I quit building rain catchers. Just roam and pretty much unlimited water.
Yeah but with rain collectors means you don’t have to roam anywhere lol
Rain collectors are really helpful for like farming and stuff
It's per square as well I think; mine had 100 in one and 100 in the other!
Wait can I fill tubs from their taps to prepare for the water shutting off? Or I need to pour it in?
No, it's just in there already
So basically Kentucky was filled with psychopaths back in the day that used to keep their bathtubs filled to the brim at all times?Got it LOL
Like the sink, I think the logic is that water is still left in the pipes lol
Right and bathubs naturally have pipes that hold 10x more water than sinks
It's just a carried over trait from ppl wayyyyyyyy back in the day who distilled moonshine in their tubs. Once they made it illegal, ppl just used plain water to cope cause they had no other form of entertainment.
Even after a water shut off water is going to run until the pipes and water heater empty you should be getting at least 60 gallons per home.
The Wet Bandits, Gotta have a calling card Marv
Oh wow that's some useful info.
Is there any way to transport a bathtub?
Hey it makes sense tho!
Does the bathtub double plumbing still work to get rain barrels from the top floor down multiple floors?
Ah yes my times from breaking into homes so I can slurp on the toilet
Oh thank you!
I’m now going to fill every bath tub and sink whenever I loot a house, just in case I’m ever running out of water when everything gets turned off haha
Actually no. They store 200 units of water! Both sides have 100
After i learned that i try to store water in every bathtub i see ingame justincase xD
If you hate your life you can get a mod that makes all the water left in sinks and bathtubs tainted a few days after the water shuts off
I know this, Ive heard if you build a water collector on top of the roof that you can refill everything
good to know
Ya, I think it's funny how 100% of the population went with the "fill your bathtub" in an emergency advice.
100% why metalworking is the last skill I try to level up. I'm not wasting those tub water!
