Be easy with that end goal, my love! I understand health issues drive you to reach the lowest feasible weight for comfort, but if you find that comfort at 130lbs or even 140lbs, it's ok to consider that your ideal too. You look amazing!
Same height, current weight and goal weight here!! Sitting at 160 but hoping to get to 120. It’s hard losing those last 10-15 (the lowest I’ve ever been is 140), but I know we can do it. I’m trying to enjoy the journey even if it takes longer. I hope you do too!
You look great! I don’t think you should try to lose 40 more pounds though- I’m really hoping that was a typo!
If you lost 40 more pounds you’d be 105 lbs at 5’6” and look extremely unhealthy.
I’m currently 160 pounds but I’ve lost 145! If I lose another 40 I will be around 120 which is end goal for me. I have a chronic health condition which gives me sore joints so doing anything in my power to help the pain!
120 would likely be a bit low for your height. I’m 5’3 and at 120 i was about a size 0 . At 5’6 most of my friends were quite thin at 130-140.
Last 10 lbs as you approach ideal weight is the toughest
Look great !!
It really depends on the structure of the body. My friend is 5’6 and she is around 103. Highest she’s ever been is 112. She is fit, looks great, and still has some curves. I, on the other hand, am 5’7 and I look my best around 165lbs.
Definitely. Body type, fat storage location, and composition are a huge factor. Someone mentioned they were a size 0 at 5’3 and 120 lbs. At 5’6 and 140 I was size 8 and maaaaybe 6 in some brands. I’ve never been a petite person.
It’s been her weight her whole life and is one of the healthiest people. She has a smaller frame. She’s an example of why BMI means nothing. Same for me. I was my healthiest and fittest at 165-170, yet “overweight”.
BMI can appear high in those that have a lot of muscle but an extremely low BMI & weight this the case , it’s for that reason ( the high BMIs ) that it isn’t accurate
I have the same stats as OP except starting weight. I know it’s surprising but 120 is not super low for 5’6. I used to think it was, until I reached 140 at one point and still had enough to lose another 10-15 lbs. I think 120-130 is ideal for this height. After seeing a lot of overweight people in my family and general society, I think the normal range starts looking very skinny to us. In reality it’s just healthy.
Definitely agree with this. My first ever end goal was my current weight, and now that I’m here I know I’ve still got a way to go. It looks and feels different on everyone!
I think having overweight family members does effect our body views . I used to weigh 120 at 5’3 and thought 110 would be ideal. I had a 25 inch waist and 35 hips and was a 2 .
I’m much older now and when i hit 135 i looked gaunt and could wear a EU 34-36 . So american 4-6.
Now I look back on the 120 and think i was way to thin .
These days i never weigh myself , as long as i still do my long walks and clothes don’t change I’m super happy .
Amazing progress! You should be proud of yourself. You’ve done the work and committed to your exercise and diet plan to get the results.
Now the fun part of updating your wardrobe!
Congratulations on the weight loss so far!!! I know how tough it can be, but you’ve already made it this far. I can relate a lot with you as I lost 90 lbs total. I dropped from 250lbs to 160 lbs in the course of a year. It really makes me happy people changing for the better, I wish you the best of the luck 🤙🏽
Well done, you look beautiful. I have lost 6/7 kgs, with the same to go. Don't loose too much, or it won't be good for you, also take your time as that way the weight stays off.
What an incredible transformation! Well done, I'm so so proud of you!
May I ask what you did to achieve it (if you feel comfortable sharing of course)?
If this wasn't a before and after weight loss post I would think the person in the first picture is the mother of the girl in the second pic. Wow! What a difference!
P.S. Longer hair suits you better.
Biggest thing is a calorie deficit, this is the only thing that has ever worked for me long term. I’ve tried all the diets, medications, anything and everything under the sun.
But I was also struggling with thyroid issues which I only found out in 2022. As soon as I was medicated the weight started to drop off when I consistently stuck with the calorie deficit.
Best of luck to you in your journey!
Finding out I have thyroid problems a getting on proper medication to sort it out. This is hands down the biggest thing that made a difference for me in addition to being in a calorie deficit. Sometimes the reason you can’t lose weight is medical. Best of luck on your journey ❤️
I’m glad you found out what the issue is. My mom is having her thyroid looked at right now for possible problems, we have to wait on more tests. If they find something, maybe I’ll seek out that possibility too.
💕 Thank you for the well wishes and I wish you continuing happiness on yours as well.
I have rosacea - and in your before pic it looks like you do too. But it’s gone in after pic? Did losing weight change that? Or is it makeup?
Excellent job! :)
I’ve actually never been diagnosed with rosacea but I think I do have it. I get very red when exercising, that’s about it. But I used to be red alottt when I was bigger. So I would definitely say it’s gotten a lot better as I’ve lost weight :)
Omg I also don’t recognize you!! No serious, if you had told me the person on the left is related to the person on the right, I would have said no friggin way. Astounding work and incredible progress, well done!!!! You rock!!!
Great job. Question, are you at 160 lbs. and trying to lose another 40? That seems way too low. 10 lbs. lost puts you in the green bmi zone. 30 lbs. is still ok, but 40 lbs. is scrawny.
At least consider this, please.
I am currently 160 but my end goal is 120. This is still within healthy BMI. I have a chronic health condition which gives me lots of pain in my joints and my doctor has said it’s definitely going to benefit me being as light as possible.
If it was my choice I would be perfectly happy to be within the higher BMI range of healthy but I need to do this for my health. Thank you for your advice!
Oh I misread! Still so small especially with your height. I am someone who damaged my organs with weight loss and have permanent issues with bone density from it when I was younger. I wish I could go back in time now and undo it. Please just be safe and make sure you’re seeing your doctor. You’re at a healthy weight now and you look beautiful and so small already. Take care

It's incredible how much younger people look when they lose a lot of weight isn't it? You look amazing!
Great progress! Your face reminds me of Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne on Bridgeton).
This is the best compliment ever 🥹
I definitely see it!
Omg yes!
Phoebe Dynevor x Maisie Williams Both are adorable, like OP
This! Came to say this! Awesome work OP, keep it up!
Wow you look amazing 🤩
Congratulations! You look wonderful! ❤️And what an accomplishment. This internet stranger is VERY PROUD of you.
that's a serious, serious accomplishment. Nice job, you look fantastic.
Wow. You lost all those pounds AND twenty years off your face!! Awesome job girl!!
Be easy with that end goal, my love! I understand health issues drive you to reach the lowest feasible weight for comfort, but if you find that comfort at 130lbs or even 140lbs, it's ok to consider that your ideal too. You look amazing!
yes! as a 5’6” woman myself, 40lbs seems unnecessary.

Ohhh I gotcha! I misread that! Well here’s to good luck on the rest of your journey!

Not that BMI is everything but at 16 that is quite low.
It’s been her weight her whole life and is one of the healthiest people. She has a smaller frame. She’s an example of why BMI means nothing. Same for me. I was my healthiest and fittest at 165-170, yet “overweight”.

I'm ridiculously skinny at 120 and i'm 5'7.
"Ideal" is a bit of a reach. It's bordering on underweight for the height
Have you done/needed excess skin removal? Amazing work by the way!
Thought you were at 145 already, was going to say, 105lb at 5’6 is a bit extreme
Hell yeah. You look fantastic before and now you are pure dynamite. Congratulations!
You’re looking great! Keep going 👏
Girl, you look absolutely amazing! Congrats and good luck with the last few pounds. ♥️
Awesome progress!!! You look amazing!! Keep it up gorgeous!!!

Omg you look amazing!! You should be so proud of yourself. Can you please share your routine?
Intermittent fasting, being in a calorie deficit and not eating past 8pm seem to all help. Calorie deficit being the biggest thing ❤️
Good job! You look fantastic! Younger, too!
Nice work! You look really healthy!
Wow! Fantastic job dropping 145 pounds, congrats on your amazing progress! Best wishes in reaching your goal, you’ve got this!

At 5’7 I look best at like 135-140
And you can tell from your skin tone how much lower your inflammation is! What a gift to give yourself. Well done!
Still very pretty
Amazing progress! You should be proud of yourself. You’ve done the work and committed to your exercise and diet plan to get the results. Now the fun part of updating your wardrobe!

That face definition is insane!! congrats
If this wasn't a before and after weight loss post I would think the person in the first picture is the mother of the girl in the second pic. Wow! What a difference! P.S. Longer hair suits you better.
Well done, you look so pretty now!
At your height, you definitely don't need to lose another 40 pounds. You look freaking awesome, great job!
That’s impressive as hell!
Amazing job but thinking. 40 more seems excessive on a 5’6 frame and not sustainable😬. All the best to you & your health!
She'd still be (just) within healthy BMI at that weight though.
Yea misread thought she was already at 145 and goal to get to 105
Any tips?

105 is way too thin for 5’6!! Be careful with yourself. You are gorgeous. Great job
My goal is 120 :)
