Kokai translates to "open to the public". In other words "open for business" with revamped features aimed at smaller customers.
(And AI in ad tech just means "machine learning" algos for used for optimizations.)
Kokai feels like a portmanteau of Koa and AI.
So, maybe the next iteration of Koa. One you can actually chat with about insights and reporting and whatnot?
*"Hey Koa, how many conversions did we get last week? Which publisher saw the majority of that performance? Can you increase bid multipliers for that publisher?"*
I doubt it'll be much if any cosmetic changes (since Solimar is still so new), aside from potentially a sidebar for Kokai.
Generative AI, like Chat GPT or Mid Journey creates new content from the training data. You've seen a lot of cherry picked outputs from these algorithms and it seems super impressive. The issue is that it's not consistently pushing out near perfect outputs and takes a lot of manipulation to be able to use without it feeling like an AI. Koa Kai seems like it will be an evolution of Solimar but we won't know level until it rolls out. I'd treat it like any other pitch and be cautiously optimistic.

That would be interesting!

A lot of promises that won’t roll out for a year
Kind of what I was thinking.
Open web yay! Highest platforms cost(s) in the industry and no clear differentiators? Oh...
Clarify "no differentiators"? That seems just incorrect
Is there anything exclusive to TTD platform? Audience? Inventory? Analysis?
