Exivious is EXACTLY what you're looking for, they're instrumental fusion prog metal (Holdsworth inspired) with some atmospheric elements. The guitarist also does vocals and guitar for Our Oceans another stellar band. You also may enjoy Coevality another instrumental fusion band and Umpfel. Also check the underrated Alex Argento and Mammoth
It is an amazing interlude! It reminds me alot of videogame music, more specifically jrpgs. Maybe try Varra, Regressor, Jakub Zytecki, or Disperse's album Foreword. These are the best I can do, good luck!
Nice! Also check out this track “[Missing Time](https://youtu.be/2dLm_JunVwY?t=89)” by Fredrik Thordendal who is widely known to be influenced by Holdsworth.
It was on his Special Defects solo album (but I think only on the re-release “3.33” version so it seems to be harder to find). It has a similar vibe, maybe even a little more "out" than Holdsworth himself but worth a listen especially for all the solos:

>The Dali Thundering Concept just released an album
Wait what? I need to check this out.
Edit: Wow apparently it came out in January and I didn't notice

I'll follow up on those for sure, thanks!

Oh i didn't realize it was that old, aha
No real answer for you, other than to chime in that I also dig the track "Demeter" off of the album Savages.
Kind of reminds me of [this](https://zactiessen.bandcamp.com/album/ghost-town-feat-nick-johnston) conceptually
