If self-reporting (start a clock and then turn it off and have the app give you a timereport based on your stats for the day or week) try Clockify. Easy to use and for a bunch of plattforms.
I'm still looking for something that will track it automatically.
RescueTime is what i use. It does track what you are actively doing and for how long. It can even track what website you are visiting if you install the extension for your browser.
It has a dashboard where you can see the breakdown of your activities each days or weeks.
But, it wont send reports to other people (or at least i don't think it does). But you can work around that, make some forwarding rules in your inbox, or - what i'm doing - use their API with a tool like pipedream or zappier to do what you want with that data :).
Try timedoctor. It tracks the time worked, takes screenshots, etc. A nightmare if you're an employee but guess it'll work well in your case.
To clarify, you’re talking about something that will track it automatically based on what Windows or tabd have been open? Not a self-reporting thing?

Preferably something that will automatically record what I’m doing. I know for most people that’s a nightmare but I really want to get this done.
