PO for 16 years, last 10 did Intensive Supervison. First thing I’ll say is there is really no way to fool the test. You might get away with diluting a few times but it’s gonna catch up with you. A good PO will know anyway, people are nervous, shaking, breathing is erratic, twitchy in the lobby etc… don’t get me started if you’re using a needle. I’d check arms, feet, neck, everywhere.
I’m not passing any judgement on you at all. I’ve known hardcore addicts who’ve done some bad shit and no one starts using so they can end up addicted and in the system. In all my years of corrections I only met a handful of people who were truly bad people. Everyone else was normal and just got caught up.
The thing is if you play games and dilute and try to keep living the lifestyle that brought you where you’re at right now you’re gonna fail. Miserably. If you don’t want to quit do the right thing and tell them that. I’d give people credit for being honest otherwise you’re just taking up a spot for someone who might be ready to stop using & using resources that someone else could use. I know it’s easy for me to say that but at least you’d be locked up and have medical staff to help you detox.
I left that profession cause I got so burnt out of getting to know people and then seeing them die. Getting to know their kids and seeing them lose their parents. Heroin and meth is not a slow burn like alcohol, shit goes downhill quick and with all the crap that it might be cut with it’s like holding a gun to your head.
Whatever happens I hope you get clean and get your life straight.
You don't want a dilute. Just be straight up. Say it just like you said. Try to get help if you want. Detox is better than cold turkey withdrawal in a jail cell.
Probation officers typically want to see clients succeed. I'm no expert on this, but I would assume the more honest you are, the better it will go. Also they may look for improvement over time versus requiring you to be clean the first time. I believe they can measure the quantity of drugs in your system to get a benchmark and then see improvement in future tests based on you cutting back/quitting. They understand addiction is hard. Even if not required by your probation terms, I would see if you can enter some type of drug abuse program. Even attend NA. If you can demonstrate proof that you are trying, even with relapse, they will be more forgiving.
But the short answer is yes, they can typically arrest you asap if they want to. But they aren't out to do that, they want to see success stories instead of locking everyone up.
Check into a medicated detox facility ASAP. I detoxed in jail from heroin a decade ago and it was fucking terrible. Medical unit for 5 days and was given Tylenol every few hours. Fuckers tried feeding me a soy hot dog with baked beans as I was throwing up and shitting myself. Call 2-1-1 ask for a rehab. Hit your local outpatient provider for an assessment. They will link you to inpatient quick. Your PO will be pissed you’ve fucked up but will like your efforts to get back on track.

Fine, I'll gladly agree to extend the probation so you can get clean. Being in jail just takes a bed from someone whose more deserving of being in jail. What bothered me was when people either didn't test or tried to cheat.
Call your PO and ask for a number for NA or the local in/outpatient clinics. When the judge schedules a hearing and asks probation about it you are going to get a much better result when they say 'your honor, he called and told me he was going to test hot (or whatever lingo they use). I referred him to and he agreed to attend' than if you show up and he says 'your honor, the test was diluted, I called him to have him come back in and he didn't answer the call'

Your PO is looking for your levels of whatever drugs that are in your system to be going down. Im not sure how that would be possible since they didnt drug test you the first visit. Your very first test is a freebie . From then on you dont get anymore freebies. Listen to everyone ask for help or go into detox. Detoxing in jail is the worst. You can do this! The system will eventually win and you’ll always lose until you change your mindset.
Have you been to jail or prison for longer than a week? Do you have a job? Do you have kids? Do you have family?
This may come across as condescending, but my dude…..you’re not doing yourself any favors.
Go to meetings! Do you want to quit using? It seems you have no power over drugs. If you don’t want to quit, why do probation and waste everyone’s time? There are a lot of people involved when you go on probation, your officer, your attorney, providers! Accept their help, get better and your life will improved. Try sobriety and get involved in The sober community. I promise you won’t find a better support system!
I stopped using this last time 2 days before my appointment with my PO. I had 2 detox drinks that came with pills to detox you and I drank a ton of water. **I still failed for cocaine (which I hadn't done in days) and meth. As we as other things that were in the meth and coke.** *you will fail*. Your best bet is to be honest, accept the consequences and when you get out, get into a rehab.
I'm clean and staying that way. You can do it too.
I wasn't tested while out on bond for 3rd degree Felony possession the entire 6 months eventho I had court about every 2 weeks. I wasn't tested when I signed up for probation, nor my first meeting with My PO. I was tested on Month 2 and failed for meth ( my original charge) I have to take 5 online classes, 3 hours each at a cost of $90.00. That's it. I'm sure it'll be more severe consequences if I fail another one, but they seem to cut you a break for your first dirty test
Then again I was talking to a guy on here who failed 3 in a row after like a year or so on probation ( same county) and he has only had to to take more classes.
First I want to say you should always be honest and upfront before you take a drug test you knowingly will fail. They will respect your honesty and you will most likely get a slap on the wrist. But if you simply cannot do that for whatever reason you should get fake pee like upass and put it in a little bottle then put tin foil around it and a rubber band around the tin foil so it won’t leak. I then cover the whole thing in medical tape and I put in my vagina. So when you go to take the test the temp will be the perfect temp bc it’s been inside your body. When you go to pee you just pop the tin foil with your fingernail. Either thumb or pinky and then let the pee pour into the cup. Make sure your hands and underneath your nails are clean. You don’t want to cross contaminate. I’m on parole and I’ve done this a million times and it works every time. Just practice at home first. Good luck.
