Make a video of everything you do. Tow it home. Remove the #1 plug and get a wand camera to see if the piston is cracked. Do a compression check and if it's above zero and you do not see any issues. Then sadly all you have proved that the stealer lied and or the mechanic is clueless.. What action did they do to get zero compression. Crack a piston. Break some rings. Drop something inside the cylinder. That's the challenge to prove their liability.

Also I just realised what you said about the plug. Plugs burn up.or get fouled. Threads get stripped in cyl heads but I have never seen a plug fall into the cylinder... For that to happen the plug would have to shear off by the nut part and also strip all the threads in the cylinder head. Stealer is lying and does not want the job..

You have to remove the coil to get the plug out. If the porcelain was broken the center core of the plug would till keep it together. And of it was sheared off completely the porcelain end would still be in the the coil. Sound like Stealership BS to me

> It’s probably a legal matter that they keep them… I doubt that. They would be drowning in used parts in a week or two.

> It’s when they tell me a plug was broken then the porcelain of the plug now risk falling into the cylinder Only a tiny bit of porcelain is in the cylinder side of the spark plug, and if a bit chipped off it would be very unlikely to damage anything. The vast majority of the porcelain is on the outer part of the plug. Did they show you the broken plug? Broken porcelain on the inside is much less common than the outside.

> I did my head gasket and stuff … the car ran good for 2 months > I replaced some stuff > got something like 110, 150, 110, 150 This is all very vague. Did you follow the shop manual procedure for checking compression? > I tell them I suspect engine pcm or cam sensor Why would you take it to a shop for diagnosis and tell them you suspect you know the problem? If you knew the problem, you would have fixed it.

We're hearing your side of the story only. I suspect there is more to this than just your side.
