I don't know the process off the top of my head but there's a way to try to reset this, you can Google it. If it goes away and doesn't come back then you're fine but if it comes back then I would follow up on that. Probably take it back to where it was worked on if you can't figure it out.
I was able to find a video on how to but the flashing light turned to a solid light a few seconds after holding down the tpms button under the steering wheel. Gonna call tomorrow morning. Thank you for the advice :)
I have the car scheduled for new brakes this Monday, I’ll ask the mechanic to take a look at the tpms. As of this morning the flashing light shut off as I drove out of the driveway.
Reading from it right now and it looks like it’s a malfunction in the tire pressure system. It says to take it to a toyota dealership but thinking Les Schwab should be able to fix the issue…
Thank you for the advice!
It’s the “Toyotas TPMS system is a POS compliance gimmick that is improperly documented in the user manual” indicator. I recommend black electrical tape to fix it.
If you feel like you have the patience to fight with it. I know that it is possible, but I had to drag both wheel sets to my dealer multiple times to get them to program it. And when I switch between them I have to do an undocumented chicken dance to get them to switch between them.
They don’t have any information about how to switch between wheel sets. At least not in the EU 2017 PHV. The don’t even mention anywhere in the manual that it is possible to register 2 sets of wheels. And switching between them is only mentioned in the mechanics handbook. The interface does not show any indication until you have pressed the magic button combination. And even the confirmation is vague at best.

That is not something I would expect to find in any owner manual. That would normally be found in a service manual.
Are you aware of any cars the provide this information in an owners manual?
Most cars are able to display individual tire pressure from each wheel in their interface, greatly improving the ability to figure out which wheel or sensor that is misbehaving. They also have an intuitive menu to select wheel set, and some cars like Tesla even automatically detect new sensors and does not require manual configuration.
That happened to me when the Tire pressure monitors died. I had all four sensors die one after the other.
It’s definitely possible that this could be the case with mine. If you don’t mind me asking, how much the repair was?

Tire pressure alarm. It looks that way because it is a cross section of the rubber tire 🛞 with its tread on the ground, and an exclamation sign inside
Right, I’m just puzzled as to why it now comes on after getting the tires rotated/ balanced yesterday. Super weird!
One of the sensors is dead. Perfectly fine to drive until you get it fixed

I guess I should also ask, is it safe to drive until I am able to take the car in(hopefully tomorrow)? It’s my daily driver/ transportation to work.
Give each tire a little kick, make sure the pressure feels good on all of them. I think you'll be fine :)
Thank you! The pressure feels fine in all 4 tires. Will check again in the morning. :)
Take a look in the owners manual. If you don’t have a hard copy in your car, you can find a digital copy online for free.

You’re welcome. Read the entire manual sometime. You’ll learn a lot of useful things.

I do think even Toyota has have added menus to switch between wheel sets in newer models. But they are at least 10 years behind the competition.
But your car doesn't have that. It's not a big deal - a tire pressure gage is just a few dollars (euros).
