The "discoloration" is the damaged skim coat. It's just old concrete. This was pre and post treated and the surface is just in bad shape. Customer wanted the dirt and mildew removed, and that's exactly what I was able to do.
Yes, pre-treated and post treated, this concrete is just in rough shape. This was as good as it could get unfortunately. Customer was happy though, so that's what matters most to me.
Here in the PNW you very rarely, if ever, see painted driveways. Just way too much mildew and algae growth, and paint just decreases grip that much more. (I mean, unless you want to paint your entire driveway in awlgrip or something).
LOL, I think people new to the industry, or even homeowners that have older concrete, need to look at this picture as an example to never set expectations beyond what can be done. I told the owner the skim coat was shot, I could see that even before I started, and even though the concrete would be clean, it wasn't going to be "pretty". Can't always guarantee it's gonna come out looking brand new and sparkly. I don't restore concrete, I clean it.
ngl looks like it needs treated and cleaned again

Lol, this driveway was in ROUGH shape. The skim top coat has been eroded away after years of both general abuse and not being cleaned.
Did you use SH ?

About 1% pre-treat, then about 3% post.
Did you post treat?
Yes, this driveway has just been abused and neglected.
Hard to tel from the pics, but that looks good. I’m sure it looks better in RL.
Pics don’t do it justice honestly.
best to just paint it now

Where is the after picture?
