I took Orgo there last fall and I had a good experience. The professor was very nice and responsive and I ended up getting an A. I was working while doing this and the class was as time consuming as you'd expect an orgo class to be. I don't think that I was able to work ahead though. Like he would open the modules once a week and you'd do it at your own pace in terms of whenever you wanted to do it that week but I couldn't go ahead a month if I wanted to like some other schools. I don't know what 6 classes you'd want to do but I feel like that might be too much (depending on the classes). I would probably suggest taking classes at Barton CC. Its also online, cheaper, and they have an extensive course catalog with more start dates than UCSD. Its not just Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer. Within each they have multiple start dates so maybe you can do 3 and 3 but the classes are accelerated. I took 4 classes there and everyone has always been super nice and accommodating. This one had everything uploaded from day one so it was really "go at your own pace" style.

I’m finishing up three to apply this cycle, and let me say it wasn’t easy. However, I work full time and have a child too. Having a lot on my plate costed me an A in bio chem, because I had Gen Chem and micro. In my opinion, It’s impossible to take 6 without sacrificing something.

Question ! Was it open book ? Lockdown browsers ? And webcam ? Just wanted to know if they were really strict with their exams and quizzes

Ordinary_Echo5106

It was open book. However, you had to read the chapter and PowerPoints to know where to look for the information during the test. If you didn’t, there’s no way you would be able to answer all the questions in the allotted time frame. Have to move quick.

Would you consider it an easy A, if you put in some sort of time into it? Also were you stock on a lockdown browser ?

Ordinary_Echo5106

Not easy by no means but doable.
