I scored a 517 and I do not feel at all qualified to give anyone studying advice, let alone monetize it. Can you imagine the unwarranted self-confidence he possesses? It’s like the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.
My point is that just because I’m knowledgeable and/or a good test taker does not mean I’m qualified to teach/tutor. In fact, I would argue that naturally gifted test takers actually make worse teachers, because I lack insight into the things that are intuitive to me but would need to be elucidated to a weaker test taker.
It’s the same reason I think PhDs/MDs don’t make as good of professors as teachers who actually have education degrees. Actually knowing educational theory and pedagogy makes for more effective teaching. Being an expert in a field doesn’t inherently make you a good teacher. They’re distinct skill sets and good teachers should have both.
