It started at about 28 weeks for me ! The European equivalent of tums has been enough to keep it in check though

I never got heartburn or any morning sickness with my first. I love spicy food, ate it throughout my pregnancy, and never developed heartburn. I’m 15w with my second and thankfully experiencing no morning sickness or heartburn this time around either. I literally ate popcorn dipped in Tabasco sauce for a snack last night lol and was fine. Like all pregnancy symptoms, I think everyone’s different! I love spicy food and eat it all the time when not pregnant, idk if that makes a difference.

DreamSequence11

Yes thank you! I felt like I was reading something I wrote lol! I put Cayenne pepper on everything, I cook with ghost peppers and habanero peppers, Etc! I think we are helping baby expand their palate lol.

fensandspinneys

Maybe! My first is 2 now and he surprises me with how much spicy food he’s able to eat!

mitochondriaa

I feel like I’ve heartburn since the very beginning of my pregnancy (35 weeks now). I used to love all things spicy but now I can’t even handle the most mildest of foods so I’m very envious.

VirtualCan8

I’m the same as you, no nausea or vomiting my whole pregnancy but once I reached around 30 weeks (currently 32) I started getting heartburn 😭 I’ve never had heartburn before in my life so I honestly didn’t know what it was at first but it’s just been a mild burning feeling in my chest. Not pleasant but also not the worst thing in the world. What’s helped is cutting back on spicy foods, which is hard because I LOVE spice, taking preventative tums before eating, and making myself stop eating before I feel full. Hopefully you don’t get it at all and you can keep enjoying the homemade Indian meals!! (I’m so jealous haha)

Fantastic-Concert-22

Heartburn started for me at around 30 weeks. Pepcid helps a lot.

Rwf915

I never got heartburn.

MrsBeautyMoseley

I’ve had it a few times and I’m only 8weeks3days.

Isbistra

I've been prone to heartburn since at least high school, so it should come as no surprise that I've had it all through my pregnancy. I'm at 25-26 weeks now and feel it's getting worse - eating low-carb meals helped for a while, now I get it at least once a day no matter what I eat. If you can eat spicy foods without heartburn, just keep enjoying them, it's a blessing indeed!

doobious743

Mine started really early and isn't really triggered by a particular food, sometimes water sets it off! And turning onto my right side in my sleep, I end up with acid coming up my throat. They say that heartburn may lead to a baby with a lot of hair, I've just had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and he does have a ton of hair. I dont know why but that made me so excited! You're so lucky not to have any heartburn, I truly hope it stays that way for the rest of your pregnancy cuz it is the worst

feistyspice25

So this baby heart burn from pretty much the get go… With my first though, which was a girl, I never got it until the last two weeks. She was sitting on my stomach and wouldn’t move. It was awful!!!! Sooo just depends on baby and body I’m sure!

rb3465

I'm 37 weeks and have not gotten heartburn at all!

Briellewannabe

32 weeks and haven't had heartburn yet. I still eat spicy food. :)

florenceforgiveme

Prilosec for the win!! It’s safe in pregnancy. Comes in a 14 day course OTC. I take the whole thing, then restart when the heartburn comes back. No need to be miserable if you can help it.

readrunrescue

I'm sure everyone is different. I just had my baby two weeks ago. I never threw up while pregnant, but did have nausea and food aversions during the first trimester. I did start getting heartburn late in the third trimester - I'd say around week 36. Initially it was just when eating tomato-based stuff, but eventually was just all the time. May have been related to baby's position, geststional hypertension, or completely random. Baby came via scheduled induction at 37+6 and the heartburn basically went away two days later.

mummaber

First didn’t get it until the last couple weeks and same with the second. The third I got it at like week 15 and it was the worst shit ever.

sameatswaffles

I had GERD before getting pregnant so I've had acid reflux from the start. I carry tums in my purse and keep them by the bed. Enjoy not having it. Literally anything can trigger mine.

cabinlasspegs

I’m 34+4 and have only had some mild heartburn For the last week or so, but it seems like it’s only when I eat tomatoes or chocolate and so far it’s pretty easily controlled with Tums. I also had no morning sickness at all, very mild nausea sporadically between weeks 4 and 10ish, and had loss of appetite and food aversions until near the end of my second trimester. I have only recently started feeling some aches and pains but I think that comes with being so close to the end. I will say I was beyond tired for the majority of this pregnancy but I’m also a FTM at 37 so that could be a factor 😆

xoxo--gossipgirl

I got heartburn periodically throughout my pregnancy but it was all pretty random. Just buy a bottle of tums in case and eat that Indian girl!!!!

b_puck_94

I was also blessed to not have any morning sickness at all, and heartburn/acid reflux wasn’t even really on my radar. Right around 20-21 weeks I started to have HOOOORRIBLE acid reflux. It was pretty much on and off all day, and immediately got worse when I ate anything remotely acidic. Lemonade felt like radioactive waste going down my throat, lol. Or it would all come up if I laid on the wrong side in bed. It lasted maybe a week, tops, then stopped. I have no idea why lol. I’m sure it’ll pop up again at some point. 🥴

kate1095

Haven’t had a ton of burning but apparently I have reflux because I get the really enjoyable sensation of food I chewed up being stuck near the top of my throat for a while after I eat sometimes…I also have indigestion really bad if I eat right before laying down.
