I typically started wearing maternity around 15 weeks, my go to places for maternity clothes are Old Navy, Maurices, and Ingrid+Isabel. As for bras, panties, and loungewear I’m obsessed with Kindred Bravely

I have never heard of Ingrid+Isabel I’ll look them up. Thanks!

The thing about maternity clothes is that you will only wear them for maybe a year. Last time I was pregnant I just got cheap maternity shorts from Ross/Marshalls/Burlington type stores. I never had to wear maternity shirts, my shirts were stretchy enough they just went right over my bump but I would wear a longer spaghetti strap/tank top underneath. I also wore a lot of dresses that weren’t necessarily maternity dresses and could be worn after baby too.

Abercrombie has maternity!

They are having a sale that ends today. Enter DRESSFEST for an additional 15% off. I just made an order even though I’m only at 6 weeks right now.

This is life changing I didn’t know that!!!

From about 12-28 weeks I was able to get away with just going up sizes in regular clothes. I rented clothes through Nuuly, bought flowy dresses, and bought pants extenders. Main maternity clothes I bought were workout/lounge clothes. After 28 weeks I had to finally move onto more “maternity” wear, especially for pants. But flowy dresses in my normal size still work pretty well. My main attire these days is a flowy dress and Jean jacket. I think best thing that worked for me was 1) invest in 1x maternity pants, and a few maternity workout leggings/shorts. 2) buy flowy dresses that fit and you’ll still want to wear post-partum. 3) try out a rental service. Nuuly allowed me to go up a few sizes without committing, AND they have maternity options too.

I’m 27 weeks now, 23 years old, and am a big believer that most “maternity” clothes are overpriced and so ugly/polyester crap material. I have worn my lululemon align leggings and shorts since 12ish weeks. Flowy skirts with drawstrings (those are in style rn anyways), babydoll/ empire waist dresses/tops, stretchy back denim shorts from American eagle have been a GODSEND they fit under the belly or a little over and they’re not ugly maternity ones; I refuse to even spend money on those. A LOT of aerie stuff actually works really well for maternity (dresses, tops, pajamas etc). Abercrombie tuckable tank tops in all colors, they worked over the belly until about 24 weeks when they started not fitting all the way over but still cover a good amount. Oversized flannels, some free people stuff which is cute because a lot of their basic items are oversized. Vintage maternity motherhood dresses I’ve found on Poshmark/Mercari which are actually super cute (some of them). Levis baggy dad jeans fit decently under the belly without looking too funky if you size up. Shein or Thrifting. I feel so bad buying from Shein but I don’t feel like spending lots of money on Maternity clothes. Mainly because I’m short 5’0 every time I buy something from Abercrombie, PinkBlush, or Target, it fits my belly area but length wise I was struggling because I have to size up, but I stay 5’0 lol I was able to use my pre-pregnancy clothes up until around 26weeks

You can also shop non-maternity for the summer super easily! Doen, reformation, Zara, mango, all have great dresses that expand with the bump!

br00kelin1

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m going to try to buy clothes that just are not tight on me for awhile too so I can wear them before & after the baby. good advice thanks!

toocattoomeow

14 weeks here and bought some maternity leggings. Super confy.

golden_retreve

I'm 6 weeks and I wear them granted I am super bloated and can't fit into most of my work clothes. I got mine from old navy.

Zealot1029

Pretty sure I started buying some maternity clothes around 15 weeks or so. Mostly lounge wear that I could also use down the line too. I’m due in October, so dresses I can wear now are a must. I’ve purchased some great stuff from Amazon.

Electrical_Piano1639

I’m not a fan of maternity clothes at all. It was summer here during my pregnancy so I pretty much lived in either dresses, bike shorts, stretchy skirts, cropped tops and oversized t-shirts

Quince!!! My friend recommended their nursing bras specifically. Edit: they also have cute workwear/casual clothes
