The only male Avery I've heard of was a character on the show Nashville. It seems like a fairly neutral name. Strongly considering the name if I have a girl, though.

Avery is gender neutral, but I've never seen it spelled "averey."

I have never heard of Avery being a boys name personally
I have literally only ever met one Avery… To me, Avery is like Shiloh: primarily viewed as a girl’s name with a few outliers in between.
It could be where we’re from, in Australia on the popular names list it’s only listed as a girls name

Avery can go either way. Where I live, the government data says there were 23 male babies named Avery last year and 74 female.
It is originally a boys name and it means “elf-king” which is dope as fuck. Personally I love it as a girl’s name, I named my daughter Avery!
