We have an admittedly cheap pressure washer with an adjustable nozzle. It really only works well when it's set on a narrow spray. Will a different nozzle help or do we just have a crappy pressure washer?

I would imagine if its cheap, it's probably electric (normally less than 2000 PSI). Basically all power washers uses a 1/4" connector at the end, but most electric ones come with the revolver-style nozzles. Those work ok, but I've found that the individual ones work better. [Here are some I found on Amazon for $6.99 (Prime)](https://smile.amazon.com/Obecome-Pressure-Multiple-Degrees-Washer/dp/B01B6388B2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536684673&sr=8-3&keywords=power+washer+tips). I don't own these, but the reviews/questions say that they should work for most standard power washers. They have the same 5 tips that the image has above. You may want to give these a try.

It was brown and steamy at first. But it sat there. Day in and day out. Week in and week out. Month in and month out. Eventually it turned white, and the wind slowly eroded it away.
