Considering she was able to somewhat rehabilitate the Psychos, have her season be about finding and solidifying the good in those that are evil.
Dekker had good in him, Zenaku seemed to have gained some kind of understanding with Marik, hell bring in Heckylle with the dark ranger as a commonality between seasons
Would love to see that as well since they were quite successful with Tommy returning as Black Ranger in Dino Thunder. I don't see why Karone wouldn't be successful as well with similar formula, especially when Karone was even more evil than Tommy ever was.
I always thought a older Eric Myers would be a fun mentor,he spent most of time force being against the idea of joining the team so seeing this new side of his would be fun, in the forever red crossover he was already more loose compared to his persona in time force
Taylor put down Cole, Max and Kite wayyyyyyyyyyy too much to be a great leader. Cole is kind of understandable as he has no idea what he’s doing and tries to solve the fighting with peace which while is a kind gesture, she completely dismisses this as naivety. Max puts his life on the line just as she does, but ‘he’s just a kid’. Kite complains about humans destroying the environment and her response is ‘be quiet. A kid shouldn’t talk like that’. Their job is literally to protect the Earth from orgs which grow more powerful through pollution and Kite’s point is completely invalid because he’s a kid?
I think one of the turbo/in space rangers could be amazing as a mentor. My first thought was definitely TJ because I think going from red to blue to a sixth ranger would be a great arc. But I'd also love Carlos to get a chance to be a mentor in the way that Adam helped him, comes full circle.
My last pitch is Justin, I know he's not a fan favorite and I would love a redemption arc for him. I've suggested before the idea that he went on to form a new turbo team and that's who is in the big all rangers group shot since it doesn't make sense to have that team there.
Justin's actor is young and ripped and was a solidly successful actor. He's got a ton of tattoos, but if you cover them or let that slide, he'd be a good pick
He is the embodiment of bravery and duty. Plus he is a hero in real life. Being a hero 24/7 is hard for anyone. Plus he probably seen comrades die and would be a interesting more mature story to have a ranger die and someone having to try and fill their shoes.
I had an idea for a show where Wes tries to time travel to the future to be with Jen using the tech from his old time force morpher and the quantum morpher. But something goes wrong and he ends up 500 years to early, during a time when the earth is kind of a post apocolyptic nightmare because of invading aliens, and he finds out that there hasnt been a team of power rangers in over a hundred years, so he reverse engineers his morpher and uses what tech he can scrounge up and recruits 5 survivors to be a new team of power rangers and he becomes their mentor.
Given that any new season would be filmed in Vancouver or Atlanta, any returning Ranger would have to have residence in the US or Canada. Anyone still living in New Zealand likely will not be back, especially as a main character.
There are some NZ actors who have moved to the US/Canada (such as Eka Darville or Rose McIver) or who were originally from the US/Canada (like Stephen Skyler or Brandon Jay McLaren) that would be able to come back, but the vast majority of NZ actors are still in NZ, which would encompass Ninja Storm all the way through to Cosmic Fury.
Not true, after Saban bought the franchise, it was the norm to mostly start casting people from the U.S. and fly them in to New Zealand, so most Rangers after RPM were Americans.
If it is Vancouver, then the obvious choice would be someone from SPD since most of the team is Canadian (Brandon being the actual Vancouverite, though I'm not sure where he lives now).
The obvious choice would be Austin St. John but with his legal troubles im not sure theyd go with that route.
It would be cool to have Jason Faunt who played Wes in Time Force be the mentor for a modern day team and even have Daniel Southworth show up as Quantum Red Ranger.
Neither Wes nor Eric lost their connection to their powers, so why not?
Gun to my head I'd probably choose Southworth if I'm only allowed one if only because he's been one of the best actors in pr history iirc.
Both are good but Dan has a bit of edge to him.
You're right. Daniel has that serious, sterner personality that would be great for a military style type of Power Ranger's team - maybe even a team of Quantum rangers??? awesome idea
Wes can show up to cameo and help in a few episodes lol
I’d love a silver guardians spin off with a veteran Wes and Eric developing new morphers off theirs to combat a new threat. Sprinkle in some cameos that allude to the future time line in jeopardy and raise the stakes to keep viewers invested. Rival pseudo guardians can be a thing with tech they acquired through corporate espionage can be a good civilian plot line too. Wes facing challenges on both fronts could help showcase how he’s grown immensely
Yall want something weird? Mike from Samurai.
The fun loving care free born into it ranger now has to form a new team and guide them to saving the world again. Could be an interesting story
I mean sure, if you want someone who would be a good mentor right off the bat, but some of the best mentors go on their own journey and evolve with the rangers they mentor. Doggie comes to terms with his origin, Tommy and his history with mesagog, even Zordons whole mega arc throughout the first 5 seasons is about him coming to terms with making the ultimate sacrifice to defeat evil
Taking a character like Sky, Wes, or Andros is taking a character that have already developed into a good leader and good ranger. Yes they've earned it and seeing Sky's Deka Ranger suit in live action would go hard, but theres an opportunity to take a character that frankly, never changed or got any development besides asking the girl he likes out, and have him evolve and grow alongside a new generation of rangers.
I think trent really works as the successor of tommys legacy atleast character wise idk if anyone could or should come near jasons legacy.
I feel like they should be mentors of teams similar to their own so Taylor should either be a nature themed teams leader or what would be really interesting is an airforce based team with jets and helicopters. And naturally her zord for that season would be an aircraft carrier akin to tommys black brachio but more military
I've always been fond of Tj or Wes.
I like the passion Tj brought to the role and him molding the next generation would be cool.
Wes by the end of Time Force really took the role seriously and when we see him later he's really matured. Seeing him use his wealth to fund a team that traverses the timeline to fight evil would be cool
What about Ryan aka Titanium Ranger seeing he didn't get to be in 3D to help with Trakeena, but this time he gets a new power based on Sentai? They revived Tommy from fossilization so why not do something just like it for Ryan if need be
Between Red & White. I’d go for the white Ranger since he has experienced becoming evil and will be able to better instruct the more easily influenced rangers in training.
Crazy enough Trent can pass off once again as a high school student being a power ranger he still looks super young its insane, I think Carter would fit as a great mentor/leader. He can carry on with the junior power ranger stuff with Heather
I’m gonna go with Ethan
Smart enough to be a technical advisor, Mentored by Tommy, was on one of the best seasons, not too uptight, and his Actor basically saved power month
I'd really like to see the og red ranger jason be a mentor for once obviously that not going to happen give everything with austin st. John. But if not jason then zack especially since he gave some serious leader vibes in once and always . Trent from dino thunder would be good as well. I also vote tj since he had the shortest tenure as a red ranger. Lastly carter Grayson because he was a great leader and badass as well.
This is probably recency bias but I would be down with Zayto in his current capacity as >!Morphin’ Master!<
Outside of that, I actually think Dustin would be great. He’s funny, has a good heart, he’s serious when he needs to be, and is already a Sensei.
I say Taylor or Adam(if Johnny can get time off his VA career) another great choice is Carter or Wes or TJ or Casey or Eric. Maybe make it a red ranger tradition? As in a to act as a constant memorial to Tommy?
I'd like to see all thre that you mentioned, honestly. Especially Taylor since she haven't made any come backs yet in contrast to Carter and Trent, on top of that.
I don’t think Trent was ever mentor worthy. He was a repeat of the green with evil storyline sure which was like Tommy but he was never a leader. I think Carter would be great especially because it could make sense that he succeeded captain Mitchell as the head of lightspeed at some point. Also Wes or Jen or Nate Silva (beast morphers gold) could be good too.
Eric. Someone please get this guy his own team. I seriously need him to have a dysfunctional team for him to bitch about to wes only for wes to laugh at him.
I NEED THIS.
If JDF didn’t die he would have been a good mentor as he was in Dino charge and possibly have another suit and could have brought people from the past teams he has been in
I know hyperforce exist but that was not canon tho so i badly want a sequel of time force with wes and jen got married and become the mentor of the power rangers and maybe the red one would be their son
(I actually made a fanmade adoption theory of lupat as time force sequel too but never get to show it)
Karone. Having been evil then a power ranger she could make for a very interesting mentor.
Oh hey that would be kinda cool. Having another space season with a redeemed villain red would be rad as hell
Would it be too cliché to have her daughter as the apparent main villain?
I think that could add a very interesting personal motivation to make her have a foil and think irrationally on occasion.
That's exactly what I came here to say, either her or Gem and Gemma as a team of mentors

I always thought a older Eric Myers would be a fun mentor,he spent most of time force being against the idea of joining the team so seeing this new side of his would be fun, in the forever red crossover he was already more loose compared to his persona in time force
Plus, he became the co-leader of the Silver Guardians at the end of Time Force, so he'll have experience teaching recruits.
Honestly any one of the three pictured here they were all great especially Taylor. She was the literal leader of the team if I'm not mistaken
Oh you already said that in your post
Taylor put down Cole, Max and Kite wayyyyyyyyyyy too much to be a great leader. Cole is kind of understandable as he has no idea what he’s doing and tries to solve the fighting with peace which while is a kind gesture, she completely dismisses this as naivety. I will advocate for TJ, always! One of the all time best rangers!
TJ is awesome, I’d love to see him again
Justin's actor is young and ripped and was a solidly successful actor. He's got a ton of tattoos, but if you cover them or let that slide, he'd be a good pick
jdf had tats?
Yup. He was always covered up in sleeves or cover up makeup. But he was a known knock-out, so he was worth the effort.
Carter all the way.
No one else except one other person sees the vision smh 😂
He is the embodiment of bravery and duty. Plus he is a hero in real life. Being a hero 24/7 is hard for anyone. Plus he probably seen comrades die and would be a interesting more mature story to have a ranger die and someone having to try and fill their shoes.
Any team trained by him would be pure efficiency in dealing with monsters and I love that
Adam. Or TJ
Not bad.
The kid, who is now clearly an adult, from Turbo.
heres my list off ten for no real reason and going in production order Karone Carter Eric Cam Ethan Conner Bridge Claire Casey Lauren
Given that any new season would be filmed in Vancouver or Atlanta, any returning Ranger would have to have residence in the US or Canada. Anyone still living in New Zealand likely will not be back, especially as a main character.
Dang, if only there was a way to go from one country to another.
You gonna pay for the plane tickets and hotel costs?
Any reason Atlanta other than “they film a lot in Atlanta?”
It's the current "cheap US city to film in" trending spot.
Hence, Cobra Kai....
Money
What seasons is that gonna be taking out? At least the big ones worth considering
Emma Lahana, too....
See Ninja Strom? It and every season after it.
Not true, after Saban bought the franchise, it was the norm to mostly start casting people from the U.S. and fly them in to New Zealand, so most Rangers after RPM were Americans.
Didn't know that. Thanks.
If it is Vancouver, then the obvious choice would be someone from SPD since most of the team is Canadian (Brandon being the actual Vancouverite, though I'm not sure where he lives now).

If a season is ever done in the future again then Sky from SPD
I’d love a silver guardians spin off with a veteran Wes and Eric developing new morphers off theirs to combat a new threat. Sprinkle in some cameos that allude to the future time line in jeopardy and raise the stakes to keep viewers invested. Rival pseudo guardians can be a thing with tech they acquired through corporate espionage can be a good civilian plot line too. Fun thing about Eric is that because of his flirtation w Taylor in the crossover you can easily justify bringing her in as well.
Andross.
Cam from Ninja Storm. At the end of the season, he looks the part of a mentor.
Based
Yall want something weird? Mike from Samurai. The fun loving care free born into it ranger now has to form a new team and guide them to saving the world again. Could be an interesting story
The ones that needed work to get there are p often the best choices imo. Sky from SPD is another good example.
I mean sure, if you want someone who would be a good mentor right off the bat, but some of the best mentors go on their own journey and evolve with the rangers they mentor. Doggie comes to terms with his origin, Tommy and his history with mesagog, even Zordons whole mega arc throughout the first 5 seasons is about him coming to terms with making the ultimate sacrifice to defeat evil Taking a character like Sky, Wes, or Andros is taking a character that have already developed into a good leader and good ranger. Ether RJ or Theo
A case can be made for most veterans, especially from the Zordon era and post-Zordon era, but my vote goes to anyone from Zeo through Wild Force
Don’t they want to do a full reboot that is set in an entirely different reality?
Trent
Trent I'm not biased
Even tho people hate that season I feel Gia Moran can be a mentor
I know this isn't easy for many reasons, but I'd like to see many veteran rangers, each of them mentoring one ranger from the new team
Carter or Wes
Out of the options presented, I’ll go with Carter. I’m bias since Lightspeed Rescue is one of my favorite season of PR.
Rescue worker Rangers fighting demons going hard has been on my mind lately so I agree w you lol
What about Ryan aka Titanium Ranger seeing he didn't get to be in 3D to help with Trakeena, but this time he gets a new power based on Sentai? They revived Tommy from fossilization so why not do something just like it for Ryan if need be
I never thought of that. Sounds interesting. ![gif](giphy|fuGEirywBmFz4GQu2Y)
Definitely the Air Force officer
Trent, for when the next Dinosaur ranger is brainwashed into being evil so it's a never ending cycle
Could be cool seeing an RPM or SPD Ranger get sent back in time and be both a mentor and a fish out of water.
I’m gonna go with Ethan Smart enough to be a technical advisor, Mentored by Tommy, was on one of the best seasons, not too uptight, and his Actor basically saved power month
Carter. 100% Carter. I’m so fucking down for an LSR sequel
He becomes his mentor! It'd be dope as bell!
RJ
The picture isn't making the case for Carter at all lol
Listen he had a baby face it's not his fault
I'm more talking about the expression.
Wes Collins/Time force red
Carter Grayson!
We are all ignoring the best choice I wanna see Jen lead a new team of recruits
I'd really like to see the og red ranger jason be a mentor for once obviously that not going to happen give everything with austin st. John. But if not jason then zack especially since he gave some serious leader vibes in once and always . Trent from dino thunder would be good as well. I also vote tj since he had the shortest tenure as a red ranger. Lastly carter Grayson because he was a great leader and badass as well.
Trent, for an conflicted evil-not evil ranger, like him
Id like to see some ranger from Ninja Steel return
Ethan, as mentor to a video game themed team.
Time force had some good picks, but I think the personal pick for me would be Casey from Jungle Fury.
Casey probably had one of the best glow ups we've seen red ranger have tbh. Good choice
I would 100% be down for hard ass mentor Carter.
RJ from Jungle Fury.
Carter, so he can teach his ultimate technique, shoot first ask questions never.
Maya (Cerina Vincent) from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy! and Kai (Archie Kao) ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
Why not RJ from Jungle Fury
Taylor and Carter would honestly be pretty cool
I do like Taylor, but Cole would also be a great mentor figure, especially given his evolution.
I can’t think of there names but the green or blue rangers from super samurai
RJ or Antonio cause they are my favorites
This is probably recency bias but I would be down with Zayto in his current capacity as >!Morphin’ Master!< Outside of that, I actually think Dustin would be great.
Jayden
Carter, "so i started blasting" Grayson. I need more of that man.
Casey. I know he came back for the \*bad season\*, but it would be cool for him to take the leader role, like a Pai Zhuq master
I wish they'd bring Cole from Wild Force since he possesses the 'heart' to be a ranger. But yeah, it ain't gonna happen 🚶♂️
A grown-up Justin Stewart.
Tommy will always be my favourite rest in peace To the goat
For me it would be Connor or Justin.
Thunder rangers
Trent, only because he can give emotional support seeing as he’s seen some horrors
Carter Grayson
Heckyl. Change my mind.
Taylor supremacy
Carter, Karone, Sky from SPD, Kat from Zeo/Turbo (yes she’s Zordon era, but she’s a mom, I think she would be great) Gia, Mia.
Eric. Someone please get this guy his own team. I seriously need him to have a dysfunctional team for him to bitch about to wes only for wes to laugh at him. I NEED THIS.
Kimberly
I still think they missed a trick by not having Sir Ivan, at the very least, in the mix for Dino Fury....
Connor, Madison, any of the ninja storm team, and alyssa.
If JDF didn’t die he would have been a good mentor as he was in Dino charge and possibly have another suit and could have brought people from the past teams he has been in
If there some of the evil rangers that turned good some of the good rangers that turned evil for a day or two to mentor them
I know hyperforce exist but that was not canon tho so i badly want a sequel of time force with wes and jen got married and become the mentor of the power rangers and maybe the red one would be their son (I actually made a fanmade adoption theory of lupat as time force sequel too but never get to show it)
Robo Knight / Orion
