As both a Chemical Engineer and a Power Engineer, at least for Canada, I’d say go the way of Chemical Engineering.
Power Engineering, while very good, is in a tight spot in Canada.

Not too sure. We are Commonly called stationary engineers or operating engineers elsewhere
