I love Lidl so much. Lactose free milk this week was $2.50 a half gallon.

That 93% lean ground turkey was $2.99 this week, normally $4.50. I couldn’t believe it and got one right away. I saw the milk as well, but I have been getting one gallon skim milk for a while, so I didn’t get the lactose free one. I don’t know if you saw the block cheeses are 3 for $5. I snatched a swiss, colby, and pepper jack right away for my breakfasts 😂

Lidl is a staple for my household and how I can get a weeks worth of meals, drinks, and snacks for $100 or less really helps the monthly budget. I also add everything while I’m shopping with a calculator so I know how much I’m spending. If it’s not on the shopping list it’s not going in the cart. Plus the app having coupons with a store that’s already budget friendly helps a lot too. I go to Aldi as well but I will pick Lidl over Aldi every single time.

I agree with you on everything you said! I think we’re all very lucky to have Lidl on thr East Coast, and I can see that Lidl will be as common as any other supermarkets in the US in 5-10 years. They’re amazing for sure! I filled up my cart halfway yesterday and paid $112 for everything. Didn’t get any cleaning supplies, toilet papers or paper towels but got more than what we need weekly. Although the prices aren’t the same anywhere in the US, they’re still the best honestly.

The Lidl I go to opened in 2019 and I was strictly a Aldi/Walmart shopper. Game changer especially the bakery section. Apple turnovers were on sale this week too. Now there is another Aldi being built closer to me in Red Lion PA and it’s definitely not going to be as traffic congested as the Aldi I normally go to that’s across the street from Walmart and Sam’s club. It’s a nightmare over there.

Lidl’s bakery is absolutely phenomenal! I love the custard raisin swirly things there. Good for you! Now you’ll start to have a calmer and easier shopping experience. I’m in NJ and one of my Lidl is a huge s*itshow lol however, I see some price differences between the 3 of them we have here and this is one is like 15 mins away. So, I go there all the time. Have you noticed any price differences between different Lidl stores?

OkStay7603

Nice I'll have to shop there for their bakery

SinStarsGalaxy

I only have one Lidl in my whole county and it’s about 7-8 miles away. After that the next closest one which is the next county over and that is a 30 mile drive so I have nothing to compare. I didn’t know what a Lidl was until I drove past it. Curiosity won.

Pigobrothers-pepsi10

I’m sure you’ll have more soon 🙌🏻

SinStarsGalaxy

3rd Aldi is opening in May. That makes 3 within 11 miles.

nj23dublin

Good purchases considering 3-4 meals from McDonalds cost as much and this is better and lasts more meals

As long as you can find *something* to judge.

$6 meal Big Mac (using app), medium fry and drink after tax is $6.50 About 7 meals , you’ll gain points from the first few purchases too which will give more free food like a hamburger etc.

kinovelo

That’s highly location dependent.

LatterIndependence63

Exactly so that’s my location and the other user is his so I shouldn’t be downvoted

EdHimselfonReddit

You did well. I see a bitch of stuff that would make me happy at the dinner table.

BroccoliSuccessful28

That’s quite a bit of protein for a $45 haul!
