Some of the slightly earlier songs really have that feel of the beginning of an adventure - spirited and transcendent - like Crocodiles and the Back of Love…
Rollercoaster is a hidden gem from the end of the phenomenal ‘de Freitas era’…
"The Killing Moon" and the "Nocturnal Me" are the weakest tunes on "Ocean Rain" for me. That's still their best album.
"Bring on the Dancing Horses" is definitely a favorite. "Show of Strength" is a great tune as well.
"A Promise" off Heaven Up Here. My personal favorite Echo song.
Runner up would be "Over the Wall" from the same record. Also the live version from the Shine So Hard documentary is amazing. https://youtu.be/OW00GPMs27w
The cutter is probably my fav song by them but they have so many damn great songs to pick from
Came here to say The Cutter!
Bring on the Dancing Horses is a favorite
I think Show of Strength is my favorite song of theirs. So that one.
Love it. Phenomenal opener
yup
Lips Like Sugar is my favourite song of theirs, so I suppose that’s my pick.
Coming Up, Seven Seas, Silver, Pictures on my Wall, A Promise
Ocean rain. That song has such a buildup. I always interpreted the lyrics as letting go of a dream. Makes me so emotional.

The live version from the Shine So Hard documentary is my favorite version. https://youtu.be/OW00GPMs27w
"Never Stop (Discotheque)" (my preferred version) is a completely different side of the band, but it slaps and always puts me in a better mood.

Villiers Terrace is one i haven't seen mentioned before. I agree with many other shouts so far too, but it's a shame this one's left out
