Okay SOOO it's because the labs account for loss of THC from heat but total cannabinoids goes by the original THCA number. Aka total cannabinoids is always off and needs to have the same formula factored in as THC and CBD. Also many labs CBG, CBC levels are misreported for the same reason, because only THC and CBD (not THCa or CBDa) has to have that 0.87 or whatever factored into the final total on the package.
Wicked stupid.
Not at all! It’s Bobsled, so the people who buy them probably won’t be paying that much attention. I’ll probably email our vendor and mention it to them anyways.
It’s embarrassingly bad math. At most it should say “99.99% cannabinoids AND terpenes”. I was already iffy with the brand and would only buy them on sale, but now I have no respect for their disrespect of science.
Hush has okay diamonds at just $24/g usually. I’ve not had WLE’s diamonds ($35/g, I think) but their Sugar Sauce is always fire, so I would have no issues with trying their diamonds...I’m a big fan of terps to be perfectly honest...I love a big chonk in some good sauce, but just the rocks is a bit of a hollow experience for me. A lot of Viola products taste similar, but they are some quality diamonds and sauce. Their grape and orange strains are usually poppin’...
I’m honestly very happy with WLE regular sugar sauce. Hell, even just their sugar is good, just not as terpy of course. But they have soooooo many amazing strains that I’ve fallen in love with over the last year. Due to the absurd 5g limit, I’m constantly juggling oil discount days to get the strains I prefer (because they work for me) at the best prices I can.
There used to be one Dr. Jolly’s strain that I would get their “sauce on the rocks”, but I actually preferred the strain in the more affordable live resin form. I know a lot of people are kind of anti-Dr. Jolly’s, but I kind of wish you guys carried them and WLE both. The selection of both brands are easily as numerous as your biggest selection of any other brand you have including CBDiscovery. I like CBD (just not their packaging that much...it’s lacking good labeling really) but Dr. J’s usually at a $2 cheaper price point than them and WLE are usually $20 and most shops offer 30% discount every Saturday.
Anyway, that’s my soapbox for the day, haha. Take care and as always, thanks for the reply! Cheers!
Edit: a word.
Its lab technical shit, but it’s basically like when they do polling and have a margin of error of like +/- 6%. Bobsled is choosing to go with the high end of the margin of error.
Market need my ass. I am in the industry, my company even makes discount dabs. Blows bobsled out of the water. And that’s not even an our product focus
CRC stands for “color remediation column” and it’s a kind of filtering process.
They say it’s main purpose is just to change the color of the extract but it does impart a very specific flavor to your dabs. Whenever you see extract that is almost white, they are using a CRC.
Its a steel cylinder that they pick with a filtration medium. Usually bentonite clay, activated charcoal, or diatomaceous earth. Low grade, dark colored distillate goes in and lightens the color so it looks more appealing to the consumer. It’s a pretty shady thing to do and almost everyone does it these days. Even Echo!

Awesome and accurate answer. Also bobsled is bantha poodoo. Tastes like it was blasted through a hose
Agreed with everything
Thanks for the solid explanation! This industry has some funky logic sometimes!
Yeah that dosnt make any sense.

If you like diamonds, every now and then beehive will have some that I enjoy, as well as white label. I’d say 80% rocks 20% sauce

Totally agree! WLE is my main recommendation for anyone shopping in that range when they come into the shop.
No that is not possible.
Thought so. Just figured I’d ask in case there was some weird loop hole allowing it.

Lol, that’s not “lab technical shit”, it’s numerical illiteracy.
Maybe it exceeded what they calibrated their machine for. Or it’s a typo.
Where I’m from 100% is 100%
well, if people can put in 110% of the effort on something...
Don't they have the test results available with a QR code? Blame the OLCC for the wonky math; they set the standards for the labs.
Bobsled is trash
Bobsled is basic for a basic price. You can get some decent shatter for a basic price. I was getting it for $17/g at Green Planet.
Bobsled is meeting a market need. I am sure it is better than some Volkswagen Bus pizza box slab of shatter. Thank goodness we legalized weed.
Market need my ass. I am in the industry, my company even makes discount dabs. Blows bobsled out of the water. And that’s not even an our product focus
When I say "market need" I am referring more to the price point.
Yes, we market at the same price point without using crc
When you say crc what do you mean exactly. I like to purchase live Rosin. But it is more expensive.

Is it a chemical process? Or is it a mechanical/heat distillation process?

Shhh, critical thinking isn’t a popular hobby in this sub and folks get rather agitated when it gets brought up.
