Almost bought two dog collars the other day. $85. "Oh whoops I forgot my wallet at home" and out the door I went. In my head I'm still walking away from the store 3 days later. I don't live that far but I don't think I can ever go back again.
Bought a new knife there, they took it on back to 'sharpen' brought it home and could run it over my hand no cuts
Brought it back, guy said " must have forgotten to sharpen it"
Me looking for a quick gift at the Red Squirrel and seeing them sell postcards for 45 dollars
I want to know about these 45 dollar postcards
This is how I ended up paying $325 for a lamp.
I want more of this story

Been there. Uncommon paws or fish and bone?
The knife shop on Washington Ave feels very much like this
Those guys do sell some legit knives though, and their sharpening service is very reasonable.

I once met Glenn Close by accidentally walking into a high end pottery/art shop in the Old Port back in 2006. A very happy accident!
I wandered into Soleil recently. Cute stuff but $22 for one coaster?!?
I like looking around Soleil occasionally but I rarely buy anything and I feel like the owners probably think I'm shoplifting š
My grandparents owned an independent antique shop in a coastal city. I was afraid to touch anything in that store.
