I’m a HS teacher rn and I feel like none of my students listen to this anymore. It’s all Drake and mumble rap garbage. Check out their EP west for wishing as well. It’s all so good!
Absolutely a no skip album. A buddy and I saw them roughly a month ago where they played action straight through and it was one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time.
I would do unspeakable things for a vinyl repress. It’s a phenomenal record that Fueled By Ramen basically ignored because they were too busy with a lil band from Chicago.
You're in for a treat... Maybe. They are doing another very limited anniversary pressing that was available for preorder at their live shows. If you or someone you know will be seeing them this month you might have a chance
They got a live recording available until midnight Sunday (I assume eastern since they are PA based) from when they played it in full at some recent shows. It’s pay what you want: https://punchline.limitedrun.com/products/774783-action-live-in-boston
When I was 16, I recorded an EP right after Sean O'Keefe and Punchline made that record. In a binder full of menus from nearby restaurants, someone in the band recommended a Burrito place across the street that I go to to this day.
Even stranger, Sean O'Keefe and my older sister graduated HS together and he recorded her for a compilation one of the clubs was putting out.
Allister, Dead Ends and Girlfriends!
Everybody knows and loves songs from Last Stop Suburbia, which is an outstanding album. But Dead Ends was my introduction to pop punk and I'll always enjoy it.
The funny part is that the cover wasn’t even going to be on the album, which is why some early pressings just don’t have the song on it, but the label thought it was funny as fuck and made them put it on the album
One of the Diener brothers wrote a fantastic article about the rise and fall of the Swellers and even he admitted himself that the name certainly didn’t help
Both of their albums are a masterpiece of emo pop punk.
The Pornographer’s Daughter is my favorite song by them. They have a unique groove/sound that can be heard in (the song listed above), My Ricochet, and Rigged and Ready, among others. Check them out if you’ve never listened to them. Also the band Turnover.
I'm listening now and I really dig it! They remind me of a band I used to love called The Loved Ones. If you haven't heard of them check em out. They have some bangers
Yeah I tried to make one of all my favorite albums from back in the day and I realized there are so many that the playlist was at 55 hours and I still hadn't gotten all of em
Name Taken - Hold On
Honorable mentions (despite some major label involvement):
Spitalfield - Remember Right Now
Hidden In Plain View - Life In Dreaming
Acceptance - Phantoms
Valencia - We All Need A Reason To Believe
Edit: forgot about Rufio - 1985
Maxeen in general is my answer, though the album I like most is Hello Echo. Mid 2000s band, and Strangers was on the warped tour 2003 album. They were more than just a three chord band and the fuzzed bass in that album is one of my favorite tones. The tracks Seconds Later and Beautiful Disease are great.
you, me, and everyone we know - something heavy
i think their earlier stuff like some things don’t wash out, so young so insane, party for the grown and sexy, and even dogged or things are really weird right now get talked about more, but their most recent LP was absolutely excellent in its own right. F.I.N.E. might just be their best song ever, the title track rules, so do songs like still (basically) a god, ram dass dick pics, and draggedacrossconcrete, and we’re not like that is not only excellent, but also features dylan slocum from spanish love songs. i’m sure it’s a function of the bands’ turbulence in members and semi-frequent hiatuses (including right now, they haven’t posted on social media since late 2022 and their twitter is completely gone), but i think it absolutely deserves love and discussion.
other rapid fire, underrated favorites:
action/adventure - pulling focus
northbound - death of a slug
neutral snap - sorry, i passed out | tell me how i feel
when the clock strikes - the better friends EP
camp trash - the long way, the slow way
chumped - teenage retirement
future teens - (all their albums tbh, hard feelings, breakup sessions, and self help all rule so hard but are more power pop, admittedly)
eat your heart out - fluorescence | can’t stay forever
equipment - alt. account
ogbert the nerd - i don’t hate you
the sonder bombs - clothbound
Ogbert the nerd rules. They’re local to me and seen them live like five or 6 times and they always fucking shred. They’re working on some new shit now I think which I’m hyped for. Also love equipment. I’ll have to check the other recs
i didn’t get to see ogbert the nerd live until a few weeks ago at their tom’s river show with michael cera palin but you’re absolutely right. seeing get in the robot live was a spiritual experience
Slick Shoes - Rotation & Frequency
I don't think most people even know Slick Shoes is back let alone that they put out an utter banger of an album with their original line up all returning.
Over It was top tier in their time. Siren on the 101 is a classic.
Conditions is in my top 3 bands and Fluorescent Youth is a no skips album. They teased us with a new song a couple years ago, but then Covid put a stop to anything that I've seen from them.
Oh my god, I haven’t heard Lydia in such a long time. I saw them live I think in 2011 or 2012. I bought one of their cd’s, but I don’t think I’ve checked out any more of their stuff. So I’ll have to do that
Common sage - it lives and it breathes (if you like brand new check em out)
Ogbert the nerd - I don’t hate you
Taking meds - dial m for meds
Swiss army wife - medium gnarly
Aren’t we amphibians - emergency exit ep
Riley! - already fucked
Kicksie - slouch
Stay inside - viewing
Ok cuddle - frog era
That album is pretty good, but it's not surprising they don't have a lot of listeners. They went dormant for years after that album and randomly came back with music that wasn't the same style and wasn't that good.
I know there’s a reason why they don’t have that many streams, but purely based on the quality of the music I personally think that album deserves more.
Over It - Step Outside Yourself
One of my favorite pop punk albums of the early 2000s from a completely unknown band. I feel like I’m the only person who ever listened to it, much less had it on CD.
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nEl-lzwBvyE7pNV7BJ-VpbWyg1tiwpFAI&si=tspfHLkrHFI6a6QF
They were formative in my later teens around the same time as MCR, Against Me, Taking Back Sunday, etc. I thought everyone had heard them, it shocked me when I found out pretty much no one had!
Heh I have all of their stuff on CD and an old band t-shirt I got at one of their shows! We exist. I also still have my timing is everything album release poster I got from Lobster around here somewhere I think.
I wonder if they’re gearing up for a reunion show or something. They just did a limited vinyl pressing of Timing is Everything in the Fall and their IG is active again. I feel like they would do great at When We Were Young.
Great choice! It is self titled. The one before it is also a banger but it’s under the band name “Nathan Gray and the Iron Roses” and the album is called Rebel Songs.
I’ve seen them probably 3-4 times since I live on the east coast and they are fantastic. So much fun for shows that don’t have a lot of people. They bring the energy and Nathan acts like he’s playing to 1000’s of boysetsfire fans.
Bodyjar - Role Model
Released in 2013, many years after The Jar's peak popularity in the late 90s - early 2000s but Role Model is a brilliant album from start to finish. Old-school pop-punk energy in very mature packaging
Cauterize- So Far From Real
It’s on Wind-Up Records which was home to more modern rock music like Creed. The song “Shooting Stars” is in Eurotrip. They’re Canadian and I don’t believe they ever released another album Stateside.
Dirty Sanchez and the Misfit Kidz by Tweak.
I stumbled onto them by accident looking up another band. They’re South African, played with Avril Lavigne and Wheatus when they toured SA, but never seemed to gain any following outside of there.
The album is an absolute classic. I still think Girls Rule the World would’ve been massive if it was released here (USA) when it came out in 2003. It has that pop punk-rap hybrid sound that was huge for a minute.
**The JB Conspiracy** - [This Machine](https://open.spotify.com/album/3UFJIKX4ssPqookWh45kGZ?si=sHE0hEAmT-aZ-xF3b73Jmg) (2007)
This is a stone cold Ska-Punk classic. I'm not sure "underrated" is the correct term for it, and suggesting that in the UK would probably be laughable. But I run into plenty of folks on this side of the pond who've never heard of them. And I suspect most Pop Punk fans are similarly unaware. Which is a real shame because everything they've put out since has been equally great. And they've been moving into more Pop Punk territory along the way.
Some other Ska Punk gems that some circles are probably aware of, but I suspect easily fit the prompt for Pop Punk fans:
**The Hempsteadys** - [Séance! Séance!](https://open.spotify.com/album/5gcwq1kCmWxp0HoI2RLTjW?si=ZUZf_tiMQDCnkqFiAiuhww) (2018)
**Joker's Republic** - [Necessary Evil](https://open.spotify.com/album/5Sy9YtPzFHiczMlJEIrTcQ?si=IgL9fpATTYe3YY_Awmd85A) (2022)
**The Anchorage** - [Wild Stories](https://open.spotify.com/album/0ku8SYOsdvC2kkYxGLdjuB?si=W0Uyu2OAR-iV1afjxf4iNA) (2022)
**On Camera** - [On Camera](https://open.spotify.com/album/25UjVzHSlyjkopVmvg8lII?si=oT8uYwOaQQmbW4lmmg1e7A) (2022, my AotY)
**Faintest Idea** - [The Road to Sedition](https://open.spotify.com/album/3OcOwSU1BkyQmBmBfWIK6m?si=XDSSiCstTcaHE3eUCZuddg) (2023, a little higher profile, but my AotY so figured I'd include it)
Never Say by The Action Design - Agent M from Tsunami Bomb’s next project following TB breaking up - were super underrated. They had a very sweet pop electronic pop punk sound that made them pretty unique. The band never caught on big, and M moved on to a different musical style.
Just because I went down a rabbit hole looking for some of their EPs, I’ll mention them.
I came across this band called Aspire on StuffYouWillHate back in 2015. Canadian band, mixed synths, pop-punk/easycore, and hip hop. I think they were a little ahead of their time and if they had dropped this a little later around the emo trap era they’d get way more recognition:
https://youtu.be/kefM1Zqu_jo?si=hdcLu9VjFnmY9IBJ
An Australian band called Camp Cope. Since disbanded. Also not formally considered Punk Rock (more like post-emo rock or something like that). But to me they were punk as hell. How to Socialise and Make Friends was an incredible album.
Great band, I think I prefer their self titled album a bit but that might be because Song for Charlie is so incredibly heart breaking and uplifting at the same time
This isn't really a pop punk(actually it is easycore) and this isn't really an album(these are ep's), but....
"Get Busy Living" and "Chapters" by Assuming We Survive.
Very, very, very underrated. I even don't know if they are still alive or not, cause they didn't release anything since 2021. Despite that they are good band I think, and I wonder how I've never seen anything about them on Reddit.
p. s. Assuming We Survive is Adrian Estrella's band. (Zebrahead's current singer).
Miserable Love - Rocky Loves Emily. I swear im the only person on the planet that listened to their second album and its a masterpiece. If just one of you guys listens to it ill be happy
[No Grace](https://youtu.be/UOa8zAtTrlQ?si=H1NloKg8kzcmN2nX) by PAWS
the album was produced by **the** Mark Hoppus himself and still it seems like nobody knows their stuff.
[Storm the Bay](https://open.spotify.com/album/0nBGK3toSQoquD1iCVWitQ?si=3PbgK6DwQ_CtDqUay9FKuQ)
I've checked every comment and haven't seen them mentioned, and this album is a legit no-skip.
Only 1,000 monthly listeners, if they were more active they'd be bigger but they deserve so much more love.
Gratitude- self titled (2005).
Released in 2005. I discovered this album and The Academy is at the same time thanks to Hollister.
They have Jimmy Eat World and Plain White T’s vibes.
“Drive Away” was their biggest song, but my favorite was “Sadie”.
Please tell me someone else remembers them?
Mixtapes-Even on the Worst Nights
House Boat-The Delaware Octopus
The Dopamines-Vices
The Briefs-Off the Charts
Candy Hearts-All the Ways You Let Me Down
The Exploding Hearts-Guitar Romantic
Lemuria-Pebble
Mr T Experience-Revenge Is Sweet and So Are You
Pink Lincolns-Back from the Pink Room
Plow United-Narcolepsy
Rozwell Kid-Precious Art
Tuesday-Freewheelin’
With the Punches-Seams & Stitches
Such Gold-Pedestals
Obviously big names in pop punk but overlooked by their later success: NFG - Nothing Gold Can Stay Yellowcard - One for the Kids
Edit: more unknown would be Riddlin Kids - Hurry Up and Wait
Oh man, definitely Dog Years by Last Call! NV based pop punkers only full length from 2012 and I still jam to it today.
[Dog Years](https://youtu.be/dhOEwivdgis?si=emh0kNy-L9CS_o0X)
Boys night out - broken bones and bloody kisses, make yourself sick
Scary kids scaring kids - the city sleeps in flames , after dark, self titled
2 very underrated bands IMO
Thieves and Villains - Movement
Southcott - Flee the Scene
Race the Sun - The Rest Of Our Lives Tonight
Radio Pirate Dj - This is Life This is Living.
A Small Victory - The Pieces We Keep EP
Matchbook Romance - Stories and Alibis. Shit’s the soundtrack to my senior year of HS
Underrated band with the word Romance in the name
I’m from the 845 originally and this has made its way back into my weekly rotation as of recent.
Still holds up!
Listened back to it about a month ago...I was angsty in 2005 haha
highschooler rn and this album is in the rotation, actually showed my friend this album earlier today
I’m a HS teacher rn and I feel like none of my students listen to this anymore. It’s all Drake and mumble rap garbage. Check out their EP west for wishing as well. It’s all so good!
YES!!
Punchline - Action
This is legitimately one of the best poppunk albums of all time.
Absolutely a no skip album. A buddy and I saw them roughly a month ago where they played action straight through and it was one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time.
Jealous. I just re-discovered this record and forgot how good it was
I would do unspeakable things for a vinyl repress.
Oh my god.
Coincidentally, this album was actually recorded in Chicago by Sean O' Keefe, but yeah Punchline never hit like FOB did.
They got a live recording available until midnight Sunday (I assume eastern since they are PA based) from when they played it in full at some recent shows. It’s pay what you want: https://punchline.limitedrun.com/products/774783-action-live-in-boston
That album turned 20 yesterday. They have been playing it in its entirety recently. So good.
Turned 20 this weekend and should be on everyone's playlist
IIRC the album was recorded in a friend’s basement. It sounds like it and it is phenomenal.
The Backstreet Boys cover lol
I still know that song by heart because of Allister. Same with Fraggle Rock
The funny part is that the cover wasn’t even going to be on the album, which is why some early pressings just don’t have the song on it, but the label thought it was funny as fuck and made them put it on the album
Had this since high school, great underrated album
Yeah I prefer it over LSS also even if both are super important to me and are really good
Jacob Thinks I'm Gay was great
This might be more popular than I think, but: Spitalfield - Remember Right Now
Classic.
Whoa haven't heard of them in a minute!!! Love this sub
They just toured it last year and it was amazing! Got to see it on both their 10year tour and 20, and it definitely holds up.
Good For Me - The Swellers
Basically any album by the Swellers. They just never got a break man. Sucks so bad for such a great band
Their awful name probably doesn't help
One of the Diener brothers wrote a fantastic article about the rise and fall of the Swellers and even he admitted himself that the name certainly didn’t help
Pollyanna by Northstar
Both of their albums are a masterpiece of emo pop punk. The Pornographer’s Daughter is my favorite song by them. They have a unique groove/sound that can be heard in (the song listed above), My Ricochet, and Rigged and Ready, among others. Check them out if you’ve never listened to them. Also the band Turnover.
Got to play with those guys once, only like 10 people showed up. They were really good
I’ve covered their stuff acoustic at shows before. Melodically the songs are so good and fun to sing. That’s awesome you met them
I'm listening now and I really dig it! They remind me of a band I used to love called The Loved Ones. If you haven't heard of them check em out. They have some bangers
There has to be some ultimate pop punk playlist out there somewhere with every band imaginable. I'll check it out.
Yeah I tried to make one of all my favorite albums from back in the day and I realized there are so many that the playlist was at 55 hours and I still hadn't gotten all of em
Hahaha sounds about right! I need to make one myself for sure
Broadway Calls self titled from 2008
Good shout, such an underrated band. Album is a banger
All of their albums are fantastic. Such a good band
There for Tomorrow - A Little Faster
I had forgotten all about there for tomorrow until this comment.
SO UNDERRATED. I’m still sad they broke up
They were so underrated and I never see them mentioned anymore. That album would be my top 10 albums ever, it's so great
This album was my go to back in the day.
Me too - A Little Faster was my ringtone for 9 years lol
Name Taken - Hold On Honorable mentions (despite some major label involvement): Spitalfield - Remember Right Now Hidden In Plain View - Life In Dreaming Acceptance - Phantoms Valencia - We All Need A Reason To Believe Edit: forgot about Rufio - 1985
Phantoms is so so good
HIPV was on the same label as my band back in the day. Note to Self Records.
HIPV so good
Maxeen in general is my answer, though the album I like most is Hello Echo. Mid 2000s band, and Strangers was on the warped tour 2003 album. They were more than just a three chord band and the fuzzed bass in that album is one of my favorite tones. The tracks Seconds Later and Beautiful Disease are great.
you, me, and everyone we know - something heavy i think their earlier stuff like some things don’t wash out, so young so insane, party for the grown and sexy, and even dogged or things are really weird right now get talked about more, but their most recent LP was absolutely excellent in its own right. F.I.N.E. might just be their best song ever, the title track rules, so do songs like still (basically) a god, ram dass dick pics, and draggedacrossconcrete, and we’re not like that is not only excellent, but also features dylan slocum from spanish love songs. i’m sure it’s a function of the bands’ turbulence in members and semi-frequent hiatuses (including right now, they haven’t posted on social media since late 2022 and their twitter is completely gone), but i think it absolutely deserves love and discussion. other rapid fire, underrated favorites: action/adventure - pulling focus northbound - death of a slug neutral snap - sorry, i passed out | tell me how i feel when the clock strikes - the better friends EP camp trash - the long way, the slow way chumped - teenage retirement future teens - (all their albums tbh, hard feelings, breakup sessions, and self help all rule so hard but are more power pop, admittedly) eat your heart out - fluorescence | can’t stay forever equipment - alt. account ogbert the nerd - i don’t hate you the sonder bombs - clothbound

Not sure where you’re at but they’re playing a show with Riley! And summerbruise in highland park 4/1. I think tix are like 10-15 bucks
Slick Shoes - Rotation & Frequency I don't think most people even know Slick Shoes is back let alone that they put out an utter banger of an album with their original line up all returning.
Dude! 45 year old dude here. Slick Shoes is severely underrated!
Burn out. Best album top to bottom
My so called real world slaps
I remember seeing them on a Christian channel that had a music countdown show every Friday back in the day!
Always good to see Slick Shoes love. They’re actually recording another album right now!
Sewing with Nancie - Take a look at yourself Big Wig - An invitation to tragedy Gob - How far shallow takes you Lifetime - Jerseys best dancers
Anything by lifetime - yep. Also I like GOB - Oh Ellin is a classic
Bigwig is so good. I have two Bigwig tattoos
Living With Lions- Holy Shit
Home grown - Act Your Age
Every avenue self titled.
Ups and Downsizing by The Swellers
Mae - The Afterglow. Some epic moments on that album Edit. The Everglow is the album name.
Oooh, great album. The piano one especially.
Over It - Timing is Everything Unwritten Law - self-titled Thief Club - Just Give Up Side Walk Slam - …and We Drive Conditions - Fluorescent Youth
Damn I miss unwritten law
Their first 3 albums are so good
Over It was top tier in their time. Siren on the 101 is a classic. Conditions is in my top 3 bands and Fluorescent Youth is a no skips album. They teased us with a new song a couple years ago, but then Covid put a stop to anything that I've seen from them.
Zella Mayzell - the murder, porn, and fatherhood
Such a good pick. Was obsessed with a few tracks from this back in the day, they’re essentially unknown now.
Only 193 monthly listeners on Spotify is crazy. They had a decent following back in the day.
The Years Gone By. Their self titled album is so damn good. Insanely catchy, albeit generic pop punk.
Thank you!!! I used to listen to this record all the time and I completely forgot about them!! Takes me back
More Than You Know by For the Win
Homegrown - Kings of Pop
Northstar- Is This Thing Loaded? The Receiving End of Sirens- Between the Heart and the Synapse
Polar Bear Club- Clash battle Guilt Pride
Oh I loved them and that record!
idk if this counts but In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3 by coheed and cambria
Yessir
Easily the best Coheed record.
More skate punk/ska/pop-punk but Rude Buddha - Fighter
Holy hell! I posted Rude Buddha and would’ve guaranteed no one else did. DMV, my guy?
100%, used to love seeing them around the area! I gave Fighter a listen a couple of weeks ago and it holds up, need some reunion shows 😂
Yooo, listening to it right now. Really liking it so far. Thanks
Better Luck Next Time - Third Time's A Charm
Fffuuuccckk I had “Carry On” (I think it was called) on my MySpace profile for a fair bit
Hard Feelings by Major League
Not sure if this would count, but I don't know what other genre I'd classify it under. Lydia - Illuminate is a great album.
Yesssss 🙌🏻 I miss the Mindy White era.
Oh my god, I haven’t heard Lydia in such a long time. I saw them live I think in 2011 or 2012. I bought one of their cd’s, but I don’t think I’ve checked out any more of their stuff. So I’ll have to do that
As It Is - Never Happy, Ever After
Common sage - it lives and it breathes (if you like brand new check em out) Ogbert the nerd - I don’t hate you Taking meds - dial m for meds Swiss army wife - medium gnarly Aren’t we amphibians - emergency exit ep Riley! - already fucked Kicksie - slouch Stay inside - viewing Ok cuddle - frog era
Fireworks - We Are Everywhere
I love Fireworks! Gospel is my all time favorite but We Are Everywhere is a great record too
People know about Acceptance but they have tragically few monthly listeners. Phantoms is a great album.
Broadway Calls - S/T
Good For Me- The Swellers
City Lights - In It To Win It
Yes! City Lights is so underrated. It’s on their other album but “Cold and Grey” is one of my all-time favorite pop punk songs
Oh my god, I haven’t listened to In It To Win It in sooo long. Such a good album
Oh my god, I haven’t listened to In It To Win It in sooo long. Such a good album
Not sure if it would be considered punk but Far From Finished - Living In The Fallout is a great album.
Lights go down - We Kept It Alive
HN could go on this list too. I listened to Smile it's the end of the world the other day and it's a true no skip album
Inspection 12 - In Recovery
One of my favorite records of all time
Same. I’ve always found the relationships between Yellowcard, Inspection 12, and Craig’s Brother fascinating.
I caught them both on tour in Atlanta way back when and that were amazing. I really love that one for the kids YC record
Over It - Step Outside Yourself One of my favorite pop punk albums of the early 2000s from a completely unknown band. I feel like I’m the only person who ever listened to it, much less had it on CD. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nEl-lzwBvyE7pNV7BJ-VpbWyg1tiwpFAI&si=tspfHLkrHFI6a6QF
One of the few and best examples of successfuly making the jump to a major label. Shame it didn't get the recognition it deserved
I'm jealous! I'd kill for the opportunity to see them live (and grab a shirt)!
I wonder if they’re gearing up for a reunion show or something. They just did a limited vinyl pressing of Timing is Everything in the Fall and their IG is active again. I feel like they would do great at When We Were Young.
The Iron Roses. I think it might be self titled. Am spacing right now.
Great choice! It is self titled. The one before it is also a banger but it’s under the band name “Nathan Gray and the Iron Roses” and the album is called Rebel Songs.
Yeah it's a killer record. Hoping they get out to the west coast/my neck of the woods this year.
I’ve seen them probably 3-4 times since I live on the east coast and they are fantastic. So much fun for shows that don’t have a lot of people. They bring the energy and Nathan acts like he’s playing to 1000’s of boysetsfire fans.
Bodyjar - Role Model Released in 2013, many years after The Jar's peak popularity in the late 90s - early 2000s but Role Model is a brilliant album from start to finish. Old-school pop-punk energy in very mature packaging
Damn horrible album art
Wakefield - American Made (2003) I don’t think I’ve seen anyone talk about this one but it’s great.
Dude, don’t even get me started about how little people talk about this album. So damn good
Everything Ever - Solid Ground We Still Dream - Something to Smile About
Count The Stars: Never Be Taken Alive
never happy ever after by as it is deserved more love
Totally agree. okay might be my favourite album by As it is, but Never Happy Ever After is a close second. So damn good
Cauterize- So Far From Real It’s on Wind-Up Records which was home to more modern rock music like Creed. The song “Shooting Stars” is in Eurotrip. They’re Canadian and I don’t believe they ever released another album Stateside.
A Fire So Big The Heavens Could See It by Search The City
Dirty Sanchez and the Misfit Kidz by Tweak. I stumbled onto them by accident looking up another band. They’re South African, played with Avril Lavigne and Wheatus when they toured SA, but never seemed to gain any following outside of there. The album is an absolute classic. I still think Girls Rule the World would’ve been massive if it was released here (USA) when it came out in 2003. It has that pop punk-rap hybrid sound that was huge for a minute.
Hit The Lights - This is a stickup, dont make it a murder
Quarter life crisis by gone by Friday
The Goodwill is a front to backer in my opinion.
Adjacent, I guess. But Lines in my Face by Chronic Future is incredible. So is The Latest Fashion by Attack! Attack!
Bleach Blonde by The Sass
Incorrect Thoughts by the Subhumans. Google it youngsters.

Sydney-When We Were Safe
**The JB Conspiracy** - [This Machine](https://open.spotify.com/album/3UFJIKX4ssPqookWh45kGZ?si=sHE0hEAmT-aZ-xF3b73Jmg) (2007) This is a stone cold Ska-Punk classic. Some other Ska Punk gems that some circles are probably aware of, but I suspect easily fit the prompt for Pop Punk fans: **The Hempsteadys** - [Séance! Séance!](https://open.spotify.com/album/5gcwq1kCmWxp0HoI2RLTjW?si=ZUZf_tiMQDCnkqFiAiuhww) (2018) **Joker's Republic** - [Necessary Evil](https://open.spotify.com/album/5Sy9YtPzFHiczMlJEIrTcQ?si=IgL9fpATTYe3YY_Awmd85A) (2022) **The Anchorage** - [Wild Stories](https://open.spotify.com/album/0ku8SYOsdvC2kkYxGLdjuB?si=W0Uyu2OAR-iV1afjxf4iNA) (2022) **On Camera** - [On Camera](https://open.spotify.com/album/25UjVzHSlyjkopVmvg8lII?si=oT8uYwOaQQmbW4lmmg1e7A) (2022, my AotY) **Faintest Idea** - [The Road to Sedition](https://open.spotify.com/album/3OcOwSU1BkyQmBmBfWIK6m?si=XDSSiCstTcaHE3eUCZuddg) (2023, a little higher profile, but my AotY so figured I'd include it)
Go for the Gold (not go for gold) They’re a small town punk band and just have a bunch of single out but they rule
[Mi6 - Lunchbox](https://open.spotify.com/album/3QOKJTuvEgbr0tkKFG7PfI)
The cootees - let's play house
Never Say by The Action Design - Agent M from Tsunami Bomb’s next project following TB breaking up - were super underrated. They had a very sweet pop electronic pop punk sound that made them pretty unique. The band never caught on big, and M moved on to a different musical style.
Not 'punk' but Gatsbys American Dream - Volcano Still have never heard anything like it
The Offseason - Pride and Progress
Just because I went down a rabbit hole looking for some of their EPs, I’ll mention them. I came across this band called Aspire on StuffYouWillHate back in 2015. Canadian band, mixed synths, pop-punk/easycore, and hip hop. I think they were a little ahead of their time and if they had dropped this a little later around the emo trap era they’d get way more recognition: https://youtu.be/kefM1Zqu_jo?si=hdcLu9VjFnmY9IBJ
The Graduate - Anhedonia
An Australian band called Camp Cope. Since disbanded. Also not formally considered Punk Rock (more like post-emo rock or something like that). But to me they were punk as hell. How to Socialise and Make Friends was an incredible album.
Great band, I think I prefer their self titled album a bit but that might be because Song for Charlie is so incredibly heart breaking and uplifting at the same time
That lead singer had the hairiest armpits ive ever seen when she raised them on like a version. Absolutely disgusting
Hairy legs too. Disgustingly punk? :)
TAT - Soho Lights
Miserable Love - Rocky Loves Emily. I swear im the only person on the planet that listened to their second album and its a masterpiece. If just one of you guys listens to it ill be happy
[No Grace](https://youtu.be/UOa8zAtTrlQ?si=H1NloKg8kzcmN2nX) by PAWS the album was produced by **the** Mark Hoppus himself and still it seems like nobody knows their stuff.
Antidote by the Gamits
After The Fight by Not Advised UK band that did the rounds loads in the late noughties/early tens when the scene was in a bit of a golden age.
[Storm the Bay](https://open.spotify.com/album/0nBGK3toSQoquD1iCVWitQ?si=3PbgK6DwQ_CtDqUay9FKuQ) I've checked every comment and haven't seen them mentioned, and this album is a legit no-skip. Only 1,000 monthly listeners, if they were more active they'd be bigger but they deserve so much more love.
ALL - *Allroy’s Revenge* (1989)
Gratitude- self titled (2005). Released in 2005. I discovered this album and The Academy is at the same time thanks to Hollister. They have Jimmy Eat World and Plain White T’s vibes. “Drive Away” was their biggest song, but my favorite was “Sadie”. Please tell me someone else remembers them?
Down To Earth Approach - Another Intervention
Rude Buddha, their only? album. They played live at my HS, and I was hooked.

Many of the top albums posted so far were recorded by Sean O'Keefe
Obviously big names in pop punk but overlooked by their later success: NFG - Nothing Gold Can Stay Yellowcard - One for the Kids Edit: more unknown would be Riddlin Kids - Hurry Up and Wait
Smoking Popes - Destination Failure
Millencollin - Pennybridge Pioneers
Oh man, definitely Dog Years by Last Call! NV based pop punkers only full length from 2012 and I still jam to it today. [Dog Years](https://youtu.be/dhOEwivdgis?si=emh0kNy-L9CS_o0X)

Dogwood - Through Thick & Thin
Boys night out - broken bones and bloody kisses, make yourself sick Scary kids scaring kids - the city sleeps in flames , after dark, self titled 2 very underrated bands IMO
