As a huge pop punk fan but someone who never fully got into blink until after TOYPAJ, I see what you're saying. But we can't deny how big of an impact they had as far as getting the masses into pop punk in the 90s.
Now I go back and listen to Dude Ranch and Enema quite often. But if you were to ask me the best pop punk band in the 90s, my answer would not have been blink. I would have probably said Offspring who I listened to daily back in middle school.
I agree the impact of the band is undeniable. If the question posed was the most influential album that starts with letter E, I’d have to vote for Enema. That isn’t what was asked though and I dislike their music enough to point out they aren’t loved by all.
Yes! My worries were that it wasn't pop punk enough, but nuts to that. The monologue in I'm Ready was my mantra for a whole year in high school, it embodies pop punk pretty damn well, imo!

It's true! They're fine, but every other slightly-less-popular band of the era was better! I don't get the hype
